Training
02:35, 13 January 2022Third person Today was Monday, the first day of the week. The team was settled in and was comfortable. Now that Lila's off the team, Chloe has taken her place as leader and the squad is now called Squad C. Squad M, which now includes Zoe, was on their morning patrol around the city. Marinette still in her wheel chair being pushed along by Damian. They were looking around following Nathaniel who mapped out a course for them to get around the city more efficiently.
They were looking around the area when screams and shouts were heard. Vampire!! They yelled. They followed the direction of where the screams were coming from. They stopped a few blocks away as the vamps sensed something. Then something ran towards Marinette in the wheelchair without warning. It was about to bite her when she stopped the vamp by grabbing its head.
She rose a brow then looked closer. It was a boy with jet black hair wearing a hood on his head. He jumped back and bent down below her pulling his shirt over his mouth. "Vampire warrior...I didn't recognize t-that it was y-you. M-My d-deepest and sincerest apologies.." he stuttered. Chants were heard calling out for the vampire. He gasped with fear in his eyes. Marinette reached out her hand to him. "Come with us, we can help you."
He turned to where the voices were coming from and turned back to Marinette. He took her hand and so Adrien teleported them back to the mansion. They carried him into the briefing room and locked him behind a glass containment unit with holes through the glass.
Marinette: I'm sorry for putting you behind bars like this. We can't really let you out until you've calmed down.
Marc: It's alright, I feel safer in here than out there.
Marinette: What's your name, little vamp?
Marc: My n-name's Marc. Marc Anciel. I'm really really really sorry for trying to attack you, Vampire Warrior.
Marinette: You really need to stop calling me that I'm not the vampire warrior anymore..well...not yet at least. My name's Marinette. Marinette Dupain.
Marc: What do you mean you aren't the vampire warrior anymore? And are you ok, you're in a wheelchair?
Marinette: Well, a b*tch stole my powers and my identity. I'm here in London to get it back with the added bonus of being driven out of my home city with the rest of my friends and family. I see that you've finally calmed down now. Let him out.
Marc: Thank you. Are you going to let me leave?
Marinette: Please remove your hood, it makes your person seem cowardly and doubtful. Wear your face proudly, Marc. We won't keep you here but I have a question for you. How would you like to be part of our squad and learn how to build up a blood tolerance like your fellow vamps here?
Marc: I can really...do that..? I didn't even know a thing like that existed... *bows* Please teach me and yes, I would like to join your squad if possible.
Kagami: Yes! We got ourselves a new recruit. One more 'ant' for Lila to fight off.
Luka: But it isn't easy to build up a blood tolerance just like that, it takes time. You sure?
Marc: Yes, I'm sure.
Marinette: Well, introductions, this here is my soulmate Damian; a Werewolf, then there's Kagami and Luka who are soulmates and are both vampires, there's Adrien and Zoe who are both devils and soulmates and finally there's Nathaniel a devil. By the way... What's that in your pocket?
Marc: Oh, my book.
He was about to hand it to Marinette when Damian grabbed it and read the first few pages. Marinette pinched his ear and pulled his face forward to meet hers. "Give. It. To. Me." she threatened. He gave it to her and began to read it. 'The Adventures of the Vampire Warrior'. She read a few pages as she couldn't lift her head. It was too good to stop. Adrien pulled the top of the book down a bit as Marinette looked up in realization.
Marinette: Oh..- right..- sorry, my bad. Here you go. It was really amazing, I loved it.
Marc: You saying that means a lot.
Marinette: In fact, Nathaniel over here draws and illustrates his own comic books but he doesn't do well with writing them. And funny coincidence, ever since we became a group, he started a little comic about me and our patrols. Your writing fits with most of his drawings. You two should try and actually do a comic book. I know it'll be the best supernatural book. But it's just a thought... What do you guys thinks!
Nathaniel: Uh....sure....why not, I guess.
Marc: It'll be fun...
Marinette: Great! Damian, push me.
Damian: Yes, Yes, Angel.
Marinette: Your training begins tomorrow! See yah!
A maid showed the young man to his room and placed a set of clothes on his bed. He took out his pencil and continued to write his story. ~~~~~~~~~~
The next day
KNOCK KNOCK! *door opens*
Marc: Oh!! Vampire warrior..- I-I mean M-Marinette. Uhh, good morning.
Marinette: *giggles* Good morning Marc. I just came to tell you that breakfast is ready and everyone's waiting to meet you. You coming?
Marc: Yup. ~~~~~Marc: *sniffs* Is that..-
Marinette: Yup! My cousin made sushi for breakfast. That's her over there. *points*
Bridgette: Hey you three. C'mon over, there's lots to share!
Marc: She looks more like your twin sister...
Marinette: They all say that. Let's go eat before they actually eat it all and we don't get any.
~~~~~~~~~~
Breakfast was over and so was the sushi. Marinette, Damian and Marc went to the training deck and sat facing each other. The work begins.
Marinette: So to start off, what is something you hate hate hate in this world that is red?
Marc: ...maybe...tomatoes..? Or the red peppers...
Marinette: Now imagine that being blended up into a thick, mushy liquid with water.
Marc: Eww.. that sounds disgusting.
Marinette: It is. I used my dislike of ketchup after finding out it was made from tomatoes and worked from there. Once you train your mind to see that fixation you hate so much, it would get accustom to you seeing blood. So, you ready?
Marc: I think..so...
Marinette: Good, because you'll be trying it on me. Damian is here to prevent you from hurting me if it were to ever come to that. Plus I could just use the same method as before. Let's get started.
She bit her finger and blood dripped out. His eyes turned red and his teeth and nails grew out. He kept wanting to pull his hood on over his head but Marinette only stopped him every time. "Do not be ashamed of the fact that you're a vampire. It should be a flex." she reassured. He twitched a little as he continued to make eye contact with it. He moved closer, but moved back immediately after.
Five minutes have passed and there was a knock on the door. Damian went to check on it and it was Nathaniel. He walked in and over towards the Marinette and Marc. She stared at Marc for a few second as Nathaniel walked in. He threw his hood over his head and turned away. She smiled as she thought of an idea.
Nathaniel: Sorry for intruding but Bridgette wanted to talk to you and Damian. Something about their 'squad'..-
Marinette: Ahh! Ugh..my stomach! It hurts! Dami..take me outside! I need water!
Damian: Angel, What are..-
Marinette: Did you not hear me! Outside now..before I die...!
Damian: Ok, ok! We're going.
Marinette: Nathaniel, can you watch him for me please while I'm gone...thanks...
Marc: What in the name of god is she thinking!?!~~~~~
Damian and Marinette closed the door behind them, "Stop the chair, Dami. Now." He furrowed his brows, confused. She pushed herself over to the door and peeked through looking at the two. "There was a little red shimmer in Marc's eyes when Nate walked in. Let these soulmates be. We'll give them 10 minutes." She smiled and waited for Damian to help her down the stairs.
