Chapter 21 - "You put them to shame"

Chapter 21

"How many floors do you think we should have?" Niall asked his mate.

"Two? I think we should have an attic or a stargazing patio like the other safe house we lived in." Amanda replied.

He nodded and quickly wrote down what she said. The two were discussing details for their future home that was going to be built after Zayn and Lina's house was finished.

"How many rooms?"

She pondered on the question before shrugging, "One for us, of course."

He chuckled, "Obviously."

"Four more rooms? They can be guest rooms for now."

"Whatever you want, Princess."

"Niall!" She whined, "You have a say in this too!"

"I'm fine with whatever you want." He smiled.

"So you won't mind if I make our room hot pink." She smirked.

His eyes widen and she laughed.

"That's what I thought." She kissed his cheek, "It won't be a bright pink, don't worry. I was thinking a pastel blue or creme? Which do you prefer?"

"Whatev-"

"Just chose one!" She pouted.

"Creme." He nodded.

"Perfect! I was hoping you'd choose that one." She squealed, kissing him on the lips.

"It's going to look amazing." He chuckled, "Now, what about the other rooms?"

"Pastel earth colors?"

"Pastel earth theme it is." He agreed, "What color is the whole house going to be?"

"Do you have any ideas?" She asked him.

"Babe, you can chose it. I do-"

"But I mind," She interrupted, "Please, it'll make me happy."

"What are the choices?" He smiled at her adoringly.

She brought out a book of paint samples and showed him the bookmarked pages, "Peach, pale peach, light coral, pale blush or pale taupe?"

He blinked a few times before pondering his decision.

"How about pale taupe?" He finally spoke.

She nodded rapidly, "That's perfect!"

"Do you want any other rooms? A library perhaps?"

"Yes! And a gym, so I can watch you work out." She continued and gave his biceps a playful squeeze.

"And I like the idea of having a stargazing patio. That way, I can make love to you under the stars." He whispered and kissed her lips.

"So, I'll literally see stars?" She laughed.

He laughed out loud, "Why don't we continue this later? I think it's time for a break."

"Is it now?" She challenged him.

He pushed her on her back and hovered on top of her, slightly putting his weight on her. "Can I-"

"Yes please." She gasped and grabbed his shirt to interlock their lips.

Still on top of her, he pushed the magazines and books off their bed before kissing his way down, filling the room with her moans and frustrations.

The room filled with his grunts and her cries of pleasure. After making love for hours (due to vampire stamina), the two laid side by side in each other's arms.

"I love you." She mumbled, before falling asleep.

"I love you more." He smiled, kissing her forehead.

"Michelle! Denmy!" The three girls shrieked, running towards the two.

They all squealed and hugged.

"You two look great!" Amanda spoke.

"Thanks, you do as well." Michelle winked.

"Where's baby Andrew?" Lina asked.

"With Louis." Michelle replied, "I think him and Liam are getting our bags."

"Did you miss us that much?" Elide joked.

"Yes! It was torture! I had to deal with her and her hormones!" Denmy exclaimed.

"Don't forget my cravings." Michelle laughed.

"Don't remind me." Denmy groaned, "She kept whining for pickles and ice cream."

"That's an odd combination.." Elide giggled.

"Blame the hormones, now what did I miss since we last video chatted?" Michelle questioned.

As the girls joined the guys, the girls went to their blood singer's side and they all walked towards the cars.

"Zayn and I finally finished construction on our house! We're going furniture shopping tomorrow, so we'll be moving out soon." Lina answered.

"Elide and I will be officially moving into our house tonight." Harry smiled, kissing Elide's cheek.

"Amanda? Niall? What about you guys? Any updates we should know about?" Denmy winked.

"We're in the planning stage." Niall spoke, winking at Amanda.

"I'm sure you two got lots done." Zayn retorted.

Amanda blushed, "We did! We just have to wait for the house to be built. Niall and I already bookmarked potential furniture pieces last week."

"So organized and prepared." Liam complimented.

"She wouldn't have it any other way." Niall chuckled.

"Well, I can't wait!" Amanda defended, "You reserved the perfect spot, it has the most perfect view!"

"Well, we're having dinner at your place when you two are all settled!" Harry smirked.

"Sounds like a plan!" Niall nodded.

"Whatever Styles." Amanda rolled her eyes.

When they arrived in front of the main house, Louis quickly ran to Michelle's side and helped her and the baby into the house.

Everyone else helped carry Michelle and Andrew's things into the house, while Louis quickly returned to fetch the baby bag and his luggage.

Afterwards, Zayn drove the truck to Liam and Denmy's house and helped Liam and Harry empty Denmy stuff before running back to join the others.

Everyone was catching up in the living room, as Harry and Amanda set the table with food. The two worked perfectly together, when it came to food. Harry would prepare and Amanda would present.

After dinner, they all headed upstairs into one of the rooms near Louis' and Michelle's room.

The gang had all pitched in to make a nursery for the baby. Everything in the room was blue and one corner was filled with toys.

They had also stocked the fridge and decorated Liam's and Denmy's room at their place with candles, flower petals, soothing music and champagne for the couple to enjoy their first night back.

"Thanks for dinner girls," Denmy smiled, "Liam and I should get going now, we need to unpack and get settled in our home."

"I doubt that's what they'll be doing." Harry muttered.

Amanda heard and cracked up, "Have fun!"

"Let's go babe." Liam blushed, guiding her out the door.

"Enjoy your gift!" Lina shouted, as they left.

"Well Harry and I should get going too! We hope you loved the gift." Elide spoke.

"We loved it," Louis replied, "It's perfect for the baby."

Elide smiled and dragged Harry to their place.

"Let's get the little guy in his new bed." Michelle agreed, "It's his bedtime anyways."

"Here you go." Zayn handed her Andrew.

"C'mon Zayn, we should go home too." Lina suggested.

"Leaving so soon?" Louis asked.

"We have...things to take care of." Lina answered, "Gotta make sure everything is in place. Dinner's at our place tomorrow so..."

"C'mon babe." Zayn chuckled pulling her away.

"Oh, I see." Amanda giggled, "You dirty people."

"Says you." Zayn smirked.

"How did yo-Niall!" She shrieked, slapping his chest.

"I didn't tell him anything!" He put his hands up, backing away.

"I read your auras that day and it was intense." Zayn chuckled.

Amanda and Niall blushed.

"Okay, that's enough now let go Zayn." Lina whined.

"Someone's eager." Louis mumbled.

"Let's go babe." Zayn chuckled, saying goodbye to everyone.

As they left, Amanda helped Michelle put Andrew to sleep while the boys got caught up on Council business.

"You guys know that you're free to stay here as long as you want until the house is finished, right?" Michelle whispered, as they all left the baby room.

"Yeah, it's quite lonely." Louis admitted, "Too quiet, you can stay as long as you need to."

"Thanks mate." Niall smiled.

"Yeah, we really appreciate it." Amanda nodded, "The house should be completed by the end of this year, we don't want to overstay our welcome."

"Nonsense!" Louis objected, "Like I said, you can stay as long as you need to."

"Lou, lower your voice!" Michelle scolded.

"Sorry," Louis blushed, "I should take her to bed now. It's been a long day, make yourselves at home."

"Just keep the noise down." Michelle called over her shoulder, as Louis carried her off to their bedroom.

"Do you want to go watch a movie with me?" Niall asked.

Amanda immediately nodded, "Sure, in our room?"

"No, the movie theater! There's snacks." He added.

"Why are we still standing here then? Let's go!!!" She giggled, letting him guide her there.

"What movie do you want to watch, gorgeous?"

"Anything but horror please!"

"Pirates of the Carribean?" Niall suggested.

Amanda nodded, "Yeah! Can we watch the fourth one?"

"Whatever you want, Princess."

"I'll go get the snacks!"

And so the lovely couple spent the night stuffing their face with snacks, cuddling and sharing drinks.

"Wouldn't they be considered sirens as well?" Amanda stated when Syrena came on screen, "Sirens lure in sailors by their voice and kill them. People just assumed that they're mermaids because they have a tail. The two are kinda similar but these are definetly sirens."

Niall looked at her in awe, "May I ask how you know all this?"

"I used to be so into greek mythology when I was younger." She blushed.

"Well if you must know, your thoughts are correct. Although, mermaids can act as agents for sirens. They're elegant creatures and do not cause harm unless you provoke them."

"You speak as if they're real..." Amanda pointed out.

"They're very much real." He chuckled.

"Are they pretty?" She gasped.

"You put them to shame." He replied, kissing her.

"You're such a charmer." She mumbled, leaning on his chest.

"It's the truth babe."

As she flushed underneath his loving gaze, she quickly pecked his lips and returned her focus to the film.

"Ooh! I like this part." She pointed out, when Blackbeard and his men searched for the Fountain of Youth in the jungle and carried the beautiful mermaid, Syrena, in a huge tank.

"The part where she's trapped?" Niall questioned.

"Shhhh!"

As the tank broke, Syrena fell to the ground and lost her aquatic form becoming human. Philip quickly gave her his shirt and covered her, also offering to carry her when she couldn't walk on her two feet.

"That part, he's so sweet and dreamy." Amanda spoke, curling up closer to Niall.

Niall rolled his eyes,"He was being chivarious."

"Yes, but him caring for her is cute." She giggled, looking up at him. "You put him to shame though, you're way more dreamy and caring."

His cheeks turned scarlett, "Are you getting sleepy yet?"

"No." She scoffed, before yawning. "Maybe a little, but I want to finish the film and watch Syrena's and Philip's love evolve."

"Should I fast forward to where they find the pools?"

"You've seen this before?"

"Of course!" Niall exclaimed.

She nodded, "If you want."

"Well I can't have you falling asleep unsatisfied now, Princess."

"You totally put him to shame." She nodded .

"Good."

The scene started when they arrived in the Jungle Pools and Blackbeard tried to force Syrena to cry by showing the remains of other mermaids, telling her of how they were left to die a slow, painful death. Syrena didn't respond and prompted Blackbeard and his men to figure out ways to torture her for the tear. Philip then spoke out against Blackbeard, showing his care for Syrena and Blackbeard threatened to have Philip killed unless she gave them a tear.

As Scrum held a vial to Syrena's eye, she simply stared with only sadness.

Niall covered Amanda and him with a blanket and kissed the top of her head.

"You're my siren, your blood sings to me." He whispered, watching her sleep.
