𝐍a-hee and Nam-ra sat far away from everyone, both of them gazing out the window, lost in their thoughts. The others, seated at a distance, kept glancing at the two of them, their expressions a mix of concern and curiosity.
"half-bie?" Dae-su muttered, resting his head on the table with a sigh.
"What's a half-bie?" Hyo-ryung asked, her voice tinged with curiosity as she turned to him.
"It's like a half spicy, half fried... oh, I want chicken." Dae-su replied, his voice trailing off as he laid his head back down on the table.
"That's enough, Dae-su." Hyo-ryung scoffed, unimpressed by him.
Na-hee and Nam-ra sat in silence, na-hee could see the others are still doubting Nam-ra as she sat there with here, she doesn't want to lose another friend, Na-yeon, i-sak and Ms. Park were enough.
The others gathered around the supply door as they tried to unlocked it. "Should we knock it down?" Suddenly, Dae-su stopped unlocking the door and banged on the door loudly.
Drawing the zombies attention outside as he did so. "Hey take it easy!" Joon-yeong warned them as looked outside seeing the zombies violently banged their heads on the door.
Dae-su tried his best to break the door to the storage but it wouldn't budge. "Hey. I said keep it down! You gotta be quiet." Joon-yeong reminded them again. As he held the door.
"Hey, stop that." Hyo-ryung told Dae-su as he finally stopped trying, groaning in pain.
"What a waste of energy." Gyeong-su retorted as he scratched his head.
Ji-min held the camera as soft music played in the background, capturing the attention of her classmates. "And please, no music." Hyo-ryung said firmly, breaking the moment.
"Is this on?""Yeah"
Dae-su cleared his throat as he continues. "Music and lyrics by intergalactic superstar Yang Dae-su.""Beat."
Joon-yeong and Gyeong-su tapped their feet rhythmically against the ground, creating a lively melody that inspired Dae-su to sing. 🎶"Chicken tastes better fried in olive oil. Pork tastes better than soy meat. Strawberry cake tastes better than plain strawberries. What makes me laugh, laugh, laugh? Is trans fat!"🎶 Dae-su belted out the lyrics with all his heart, his voice ringing out with infectious energy.
Dae-su had a unique ability to bring light into even the darkest moments..
On-jo went towards Na-hee and Nam-ra as she hands them the camera. "You guys can leave messages aswell." On-jo says to the two.
Nam-ra took the camera, she looked at it carefully. "I don't really have anything to say." She turned to look at Na-hee.
"Na-hee, what about you?" She asked.
Na-hee turned to look at the two, her eyes lowering at the camera in Nam-ra's hand, as she blinked. "I'll give it a try." Na-hee told them, which Onjo nodded a slight smile appearing on her face.
"Of course, take all the time you need Na-hee" On-jo says to Na-hee before returning to the group not before glancing back at her.
Nam-ra gave the camera to Na-hee slowy, Na-hee's fingers trembling slightly as she opened it. She gazed into the lens, but no words escaped her lips, the weight of the moment made her speechless. After a brief pause, she shut the camera, her heart racing.
Her eyes flickered to Nam-ra, who was already looking back at her, her expression serious yet soft. "You keep putting yourself in danger." Nam-ra stated. Na-hee let out a small smile.
"I know." Na-hee replied her lips curving into a smile. But Nam-ra held a serious look towards her.
"Aren't you scared?" Nam-ra tells her lowly, her face serious yet her voice held soft.
"Yeah, but a little." Na-hee stated, she glanced outside the window then back to Nam-ra. "Who am i kidding, I'm really scared." Na-hee blurted out.
A comfortable silence enveloped them, allowing the weight of her words to settle in the air. Suddenly Nam-ra spoke breaking the comfortable silence.
"Why are you with me? Shouldn't you be with them?" Nam-ra asked her, her voice filled with doubt, glancing at the others then back to Na-hee.
"Because i don't want you to be alone Nam-ra." na-hee told her warmly. "Especially when we're in a dangerous situation"
Nam-ra felt her heart skip a beat, her eyes blinked as her eyes drop at the ground, she wore a soft smile.
"I saw that Nam-ra.""You didn't."
Nam-ra slowy grabbed the camera on Na-hee's hand their hands touching, Na-hee glanced back to Nam-ra as she could now fully see Nam-ra was smilling, it's pretty.
Nam-ra opened the camera and looked into the lens, her blank expression transforming into a comforting smile. "Na-hee, thank you. Because of you i managed to feel something i have never felt before. Thank you." Nam-ra spoke, her words made Na-hee's heart warmth.
Nam-ra looked at Na-hee and she gave the camera back to her, both can be seen exchanging soft smiles.
Na-hee looked at the camera, her smile slowy brightening though, you could still see the tiredness in her eyes. "I don't know if we're going to be rescued." Na-hee confessed, her voice lowering.
"But, what i can say is that, I'm really scared. I don't know what to do. But i have friends that i could still rely too. Hopefully nothing would change." Na-hee continued, she slowy smiled again, her eyes blinking rapidly to stop the tears from flowing, remembering Lee Na-yeon.
"Na-yeon, if you're alive, please stay safe. Im sorry."
Na-hee turned off the camera and turned to look at Nam-ra. She gave her a reassuring smile that she didn't know she needed.
Suddenly, Nam-ra's face felt distraught as she stood up from her chair and made her way towards the window that was covered with curtains. "I heard something strange." she claimed.
Na-hee walked towards her in confusion and concern. "What did you hear?" Na-hee questioned her, blinking repeatedly in confusion.
As everyone fell silent, their eyes fixed on the two, wondering what's happening.
Nam-ra, with a serious expression, focused intently on the sound outside.
One by one, the others began to rise from their seats, inching closer to Nam-ra and Na-hee, though they kept their distance.
Na-hee, however, moved even closer to Nam-ra, her curiosity piqued as she quieted down.
Hyo-ryung leaned in and whispered to On-jo, casting a glance at the two girls. "What if she's turning?" she suggested, her voice barely above a whisper.
On-jo looked back at her, confusion etched on her face. Suddenly, Dae-su strolled over to Hyo-ryung and On-jo, a mischievous glint in his eye.
"What if half-bies don't turn?" he whispered, catching them off guard. Hyo-ryung, startled by his sudden appearance, playfully slapped Dae-su on the face, leaving him momentarily dumbfounded.
"Oh my gosh, you scared me!" she exclaimed, her heart racing from the surprise.
"My bad." Dae-su replied.
"I hear something." Nam-ra told them, her voice tinged with uncertainty.
"Really?" Na-hee slowly muttered as she leaned towards the curtains, not hearing any sound except the zombies. She slowly leaned away.
"What are you hearing?" On-jo asked Nam-ra, while the others held confused looks towards the two.
"I think someone is puking." Nam-ra replied, her expression revealing a hint of disgust.
Na-hee scrunched her face at the mention of puking. *Not surprised. I would too.* she thought to herself. Na-hee glanced around at the others, their faces a mix of concern and curiosity.
"The sound stopped." Nam-ra muttered.
"What stopped?" Su-hyeok questioned.
"The sound of puking" Nam-ra answered blankly.
"You're scaring me" Hyo-ryung told them. The two girls glanced at Hyo-ryung as she said that.
"Don't you hear it?" Nam-ra asked her, her voice holding uncertainty.
Hyo-ryung shook her head in denial. "I'm not hearing anything." she replied, her voice dropping to a concerned tone.
Nam-ra turned to Na-hee, who was equally confused as the others. Nam-ra blinked her eyes at her. "Do you hear it?" she asked Na-hee.
"I don't really hear anything besides the zombies. Sorry." Na-hee replied, her voice apologetic. Nam-ra nodded, her eyes lowering as she glanced back at Hyo-ryung, noticing her rapid breathing and furrowing her brows in confusion.
"What is it?" Hyo-ryung asked, suddenly aware that Nam-ra was focused on her, which made her feel uneasy.
"Hyo-ryung, are you scared? You're the one breathing the loudest." Nam-ra pointed out, her voice trailing off at the end.
Hyo-ryung met her gaze, her expression filled with concern. The tension in the room thickened.
"Do you hear that?" On-jo told them, her voice hinting at concern.
"All I can hear is that zombie." Dae-su replied, glancing at the zombie thrashing around at the piano, trapped beneath it.
"We should go. It's weird here." Nam-ra said, maintaining her usual blank expression. Na-hee silently agreed with her.
Cheong-san responded firmly, "We can't just leave. There are zombies out there." Dae-su, who had taken a seat, chimed in, "We should've gone to the roof while the song was playing." his voice laced with disbelief. "Shit..."
Suddenly, On-jo's voice rang out, filled with a hint of hope. "Music! Wait a minute, we have music!"
The others turned to her, curiosity piqued. "Music? What music?" Dae-su questioned, uncertainty creeping into his tone.
Na-hee turned towards On-jo, following her every move as On-jo grabbed the camera on the table.
On-jo quickly grabbed the camera from the table, her mind racing as she formulated a plan.
The others and Na-hee listened in to her plan, na-hee couldn't help but feel proud of On-jo's plan, they might make it to another day after all.
Meanwhile, Gwi-nam lowered his head down to the stream of water, taking a desperate sip to his hunger. He suddenly stopped when a voice rang in his ears, prompting him to move toward its source.
Gwi-nam cracked his neck, letting out a satisfying sound. He turned to look up at the sky and let out a smirk as a sudden memory came to his mind. Now and then, it felt like his memory was slowly returning. Although some memories were blurry which irritates him.
"that's right. I met that fucker Myeong-hwan." he said in disbelief and in frustration. Suddenly he dashed towards the sound where Myeong-hwan is, plotting his revenge towards that jackass.
Once he was there, he searched for the truck that Myeong-hwan was hiding. As he found it, he kneeled down, making eye contact with Myeong-hwan.
"Shit. What the hell?" Myeong-hwan muttered to himself, he layed beneath a truck as he hid from the zombies. He glanced around, hoping to find an escape route.
Gwi-nam peered down at Myeong-hwan, causing him to stutter in fear, shocked by Gwi-nam's sudden appearance. Gwi-nam let out a smirk.
"Hey, come here quickly!" Myeong-hwan urged firmly, gesturing for Gwi-nam to join him under the truck, anxious that his presence might attract the zombies.
"why would i?" Gwi-nam told him firm.
Myeong-hwan. "Hey, you get down here!" Myeong-hwan scolded.
"are you scared? it's fun out here." Gwi-nam told Myeong-hwan as he stared into his soul.
"Y-yah! what's wrong with you Gwi-nam? what the hell happened to your eye?" Myeong-hwan retorted, Gwi-nam was slowy making him scared.
Gwi-nam reach his eye, remembering what Lee Cheong-san did. His jaw clenching in absolute anger.
"why are you looking at me like that moron!?" Myeong-hwan barked at him, still keeping his voice down.
"Lee Cheong-san and Kim Na-hee." Gwi-nam muttered, catching Myeong-hwan's full attention.
Myeong-hwan let out a laughed. "That bitch of yours did that? that's fucking hilarious." he told Gwi-nam.
"I see you're still obsessed with her, you jackass." Myeong-hwan scoffed, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "She's not even all that."
Gwi-nam shot Myeong-hwan a fierce look, his eyes glistening with anger as his fist clenched tightly. A smirk crept across Gwi-nam's face.
"I don't like it when you mention her with that disgusting mouth of yours." Gwi-nam said, his voice laced with fury.
"Hey, what did you just say, you piece of trash?" Myeong-hwan retorted, his own anger flaring.
"Why don't you come out of there?" Gwi-nam challenged, and as soon as the words left his lips, he lunged forward, grabbing Myeong-hwan and yanking him out of his hiding spot, cornering him against the truck.
Gwi-nam gripped Myeong-hwan's other hand as he threatened to break it. Myeong-hwan screamed in agony, but Gwi-nam quickly shushed him. "You don't want to attract the zombies, do you?" he taunted, and Myeong-hwan instinctively covered his mouth with his other hand, silencing himself
He tightened his grip on Myeong-hwan's hand, causing him to silently scream in pain. "Beg for your life, come on." he urged, a wicked grin spreading across his face.
Myeong-hwan, desperate and in agony, lowered his other hand, silently pleading with Gwi-nam. "Help me, please. I'm sorry. Please" he begged, his voice trembling with pain and sobs as Gwi-nam's grip tightened.
Gwi-nam responded with a mocking tone. "Don't be a chicken." He twisted Myeong-hwan's hand, and with a sickening crack, the bones struck out from his skin. Myeong-hwan let out a gut-wrenching yell, the sound echoing in the air and catching the attention of the nearby zombies. They hurried toward him, their hungry growls growing louder.
Yoon Gwi-nam stood near a mirror that reflected the gruesome scene of Myeong-hwan being devoured. His gaze shifted to his other eye, the one Cheong-san had stabbed with a phone, and he gritted his teeth in anger.
"Lee Cheong-san, I'll gogged your eye out." he muttered to himself, a sinister smirk creeping onto his lips.
"I'll get Na-hee, one way or another." Gwi-nam vowed, his voice steady. The intensity in his obsession suggested he was willing to do whatever it took to find her.
Whatever it takes.
On-jo instructed, pacing back and forth, her gaze focused on everyone in the room. "Once it's clear, we'll take the back door up to the roof." She stopped, her eyes locking onto Na-hee.
"Not here. Farther back." On-jo corrected the others, gesturing to the far end of the room. "We need more space on this side."
"But why is that?" Dae-su asked, lounging comfortably in his seat, a hint of curiosity in his tone.
Na-hee, sensing On-jo's fatigue from explaining, stepped in to help. "On-jo means that there aren't that many of us, but there are a lot of zombies." she stated, trying to clarify On-jo's reasoning for Dae-su.
"Ah... On-jo sucks at school, but she's pretty smart" Dae-su added, glancing up at Joon-yeong with a smirk.
"Hey!" On-jo exclaimed, a hint of annoyance creeping into her voice.
Na-hee stood up from her chair, trying to avoid the lingering gazes of the others. Their stares were slowly making her feel suffocated. She hadn't noticed how they watched her every move before, but now she was aware of it.
It's weird.
Na-hee stood at the edge of the commotion, her eyes fixed on the door of the supplies room. Something deep inside her told her that whatever or whoever was in there, she will need it.
Wu-jin and Gyeong-su noticed her staring at the door, exchanging glances before moving toward her side. Wu-jin placed his hand gently on her shoulder, startling Na-hee a little. She glanced at the two of them in confusion.
"Are you alright, Na-hee?" Wu-jin asked, concern lacing his voice, along with a hint of protectiveness.
Na-hee nodded at him. "Yeah, I'm alright." She turned her gaze back to the door. "What's inside there?" she asked the two of them, curiosity piqued.
"We can't get it to open. It's a shame." Wu-jin told her, forcing a smile.
"It's probably nothing. Let's go back and help the others, Na-hee." Gyeong-su suggested, staring at the door blankly, as if it held secrets he couldn't quite know.
"Yeah, let's go." Na-hee smiled at them, feeling a little more reassured by their presence.
Gyeong-su stared back at the door, his cheeky smile fading into a blank look as Na-hee moved toward the others to help. There was something about the supplies room that made Gyeong-su hate it.
"Alright, I think this is good enough." On-jo announced to everyone, her voice steady and confident.
Na-hee shook the tables and chairs that had been piled up, testing their strength. Satisfied, she gave On-jo a thumbs up, signaling that the barrier was stable.
Dae-su peeked through the gap between the stacked furniture, curiosity etched on his face. "Aren't you guys coming?" he called out, gesturing to the space they had intentionally left open. "We left a big gap over there for you."
On the side, Cheong-san, On-jo, Na-hee, Nam-ra, and Su-hyeok exchanged glances, the tension in the moment palpable.
Su-hyeok quickly grabbed a nearby chair, positioning it beneath the gap. "Climb up" he encouraged gently, his hands steady as he took Na-hee's hand, urging her to go up first with a smile.
The other three, along with Na-hee, were taken aback, their stares fixed on the two of them. Su-hyeok could feel the glares behind him but simply smiled back at them.
Na-hee climbed onto the chair with Su-hyeok's careful assistance. Once she was safely on the other side, she turned back to help Nam-ra and On-jo, guiding them as they climbed up.
As Na-hee looked back, she noticed Cheong-san still hesitating on the other side. Their eyes met, and Na-hee smiled at him. "Cheong-san, come on!" she urged.
"I'm sorry, Na-hee, for earlier" Cheong-san said, his voice tinged with regret. Na-hee shook her head.
"It's fine, Cheong-san. Let's forget about that, okay?" she reassured him, and he felt a wave of relief wash over him.
"Well, someone has to stay to open the door" Cheong-san said to Na-hee, his voice slightly lowering as his gaze remained fixed on her.
Dae-su sighed, placing his hand over his face in frustration. "Couldn't you have come up with a better plan?" he asked, disbelief evident in his tone.
Just then, Cheong-san stepped in to break the awkwardness. "It's okay, I'll come over right away" he reassured them, trying to ease the situation.
But Na-hee stopped him. "Hey, I'll come over there" she insisted, her determination shining through.
However, she was halted by Su-hyeok, who stepped forward with firm resolve. "Hey, don't. I'll do it. Move out of the way, Cheong-san, so I can climb over there" he said, gesturing for Cheong-san to step back a little to make it easier for him.
"Stay right there with the others, Na-hee" Su-hyeok instructed, offering her a reassuring smile.
He then grabbed a nearby chair and handed it to Cheong-san, just in case they needed it for defense, the others unaware of the intense glare the two were exchanging, each trying to pierce the other's soul.
"I'm glad to hear you apologizing to Na-hee." Su-hyeok said to Cheong-san, his tone light but with an underlying seriousness.
"She's special to me. I couldn't look at myself if I didn't apologize to her." Cheong-san replied, his voice earnest.
"Just say you love her, you don't have to hide it from me anymore. Because I also love Na-hee." Su-hyeok confessed, his gaze unwavering.
Cheong-san huffed in response. "Still, I love her more than you do." he retorted defiantly.
Su-hyeok smiled at him, a glint of determination in his eyes. "Really? I would do anything to keep her safe."
Cheong-san let out another huffed in the air, "I would kill for her." He told Su-hyeok, his tone full of seriousness.
The two boys continued their glaring competition, each unwilling to back down. "Na-hee will love me as well. I'll make sure of it" Su-hyeok warned, his expression turning serious.
He gestured for Cheong-san to step back a little, wanting to take charge of the situation. "Go over there, I'll open the door."
As Su-hyeok positioned himself to open the door, he felt a surge of determination coursing through him. Cheong-san made his way toward the others, jumping over the gap with the help of Na-hee and Gyeong-su. Their faces were focused, and they could all feel their hearts racing in the tense atmosphere.
Finally, Su-hyeok opened the door, and a horde of zombies quickly tried to get inside the room, their forms clawing at the air.
Su-hyeok swiftly made his way to the others, jumping over the gap as well. The zombies stumbled, some falling to the ground in their frenzy. Su-hyeok then quickly covered the gap, his breath quickening as adrenaline surged through him.
Joon-yeong played music, the sound erupting from the speakers and drawing more zombies toward the room. The zombies rushed in, and the group quickly held the barricade. On-jo moved towards a window and opened the curtain slightly.
"Oh, shit!" Dae-su yelled out, already feeling exhausted. On-jo turned to face Dae-su.
"Dae-su, you need to make more noise!" she urged him.
"Die, zombies! Fucking die!" Dae-su yelled, causing even more zombies to flood the room.
"Do it one more time," On-jo urged him, her voice laced with urgency.
"STUPID ZOMBIES, MOTHERFUCKERS!" Dae-su shouted again, which only made the zombies growl louder, with even more approaching.
Wu-jin made his way toward the window to see the commotion outside. "Wu-jin!" Cheong-san called out to him. "We can't go yet! Not yet!" Wu-jin tells everyone. The room continued to fill with more zombies, their growls echoing throughout the room.
Na-hee continued to help push the barricade to fend off the zombies. Just as a zombie lunged at her, she tried to push it away, but it grabbed her hands.
Su-hyeok, noticing the danger, quickly shielded Na-hee from the zombie. He grabbed a nearby object and swung it at the creature, sending it crashing to the ground.
"Na-hee stay close to me!" Su-hyeok tells Na-hee, his voice full of protectiveness, Na-hee nodded at him in urgency.
"How much longer is it going to take? Let's go!" Gyeong-su urged.
"A little more. Not yet"
*Holy shit!* Na-hee yelled in her thoughts as she pushed against the barricade harder, her heart racing in her chest.
It felt like this nightmare was just the beginning.
Then suddenly, in the blink of an eye, Wu-jin shouted urgently, "Clear! We have to go now!" Na-hee felt a wave of relief wash over her as they were finally going to get out of there.
One by one, the group quickly stepped back towards the door beside him, fear evident in their eyes. "Na-Hee, go!" Su-hyeok urged her, his voice filled with panic as he motioned for her to follow the others.
"What!? You told me to stay by your side?!" Na-Hee replied, her voice shaking as she held up the barricade. She was terrified, and Su-hyeok let out a frustrated sigh, worried about her stubbornness.
"Na-hee, go with them!" Cheong-San added, straining to keep the barricade steady.
"Just go! I think I'm going to poop my pants!" Dae-su yelled, his fear clear in his voice.
In a quick move, Su-hyeok grabbed Na-hee and pulled her away from the barricade. He dragged her along, afraid she would try to go back.
"Cheong-San, just go!" Dae-su shouted, desperation in his voice as he and Cheong-San struggled to hold the barricade. The sound of the barricade cracking filled the air, heightening their anxiety. Without thinking, Cheong-san grabbed Dae-su, and they ran for the door just as the barricade collapsed behind them.
They stumbled into the hallway, their hearts racing and breaths quickening. They had escaped just in time.
Na-hee let the others rush toward the stairs first, their panic palpable in the air. As they hurried, Dae-su stumbled and fell to the ground, his face a mix of shock and fear.
Cheong-san, Su-hyeok, and Na-hee quickly turned back, instinctively rushing to his side. "Dae-su, are you okay?" Na-Hee asked, concern etched on her face as they helped him to his feet. Dae-su nodded, though his eyes betrayed his anxiety.
As they raced up the stairs, Su-hyeok suddenly stumbled, gasping in pain. Na-hee, who had been just a few steps behind him, immediately noticed him fall. Without a second thought, she sprinted up to him, her heart racing with concern.
"Hey, Su-hyeok!" she called, grabbing his hand.
Su-hyeok looked up, a mix of admiration and anxiety in his expression. Without hesitation, he grasped her hand firmly, feeling her warmth against his. He managed to push through the pain, and together, they hurried to catch up with the others.
Finally, the others reached the rooftop door, but there was a problem, it wouldn't open. Cheong-san kept trying to force it, pushing his shoulder against the heavy door with all his might.
"Come on, open it!" Dae-su urged, catching his breath as he moved closer to help, his heart pounding in his chest.
"It's locked." Cheong-San said, frustration lacing his voice as he stepped back for a moment to catch his breath.
"What?" On-Jo exclaimed, panic creeping into her tone.
Meanwhile, Su-hyeok and Na-hee finally arrived at the scene. Su-hyeok took in the chaos around him and muttered, "Shit..." as he ran a hand through his hair in frustration, his brow furrowing with worry.
Su-hyeok turned to Na-hee noticing her distress. "Are you okay?" he asked, breathless from the sprint.
"Yes, just scared." she replied, her voice shaking as she looked at him, wide-eyed with fear.
"I'll protect you, don't worry." he told her, his voice full of ddetermination.
"They're here." Nam-ra whispered, her voice trembling slightly.
The others exchanged frightened glances, knowing that danger was about to strike. Suddenly, zombies burst into the scene, their terrifying figures rushing forward with growls.
Cheong-san and Su-hyeok fought hard, dodging and striking as they tried to keep the zombies at bay, their adrenaline surging.
Cheong-san found himself pinned under a zombie, its saliva and blood splattering him, making him recoil in disgust. Just when he thought he was about to be bitten, Na-hee rushed in, pushing the zombie away from Cheong-San and kicking it down the stairs.
"Are you alright, Na-hee?!" Cheong-San asked her in panic, his voice laced with concern. Na-Hee nodded, though her face showed signs of exhaustion.
Su-hyeok rushed in to help them both get back on their feet, their hearts racing as more zombies closed in around them.
"Na-Hee, go up there with the others." Su-Hyeok urged her, his voice firm but filled with worry.
"No way, I'm pretty good at kicking, Su-hyeok." she replied defiantly, holding her fists ready, determination shining in her eyes.
"Throw this over!" Nam-ra shouted urgently, pointing to a heavy blanket nearby just as the first zombies began to climb the stairs.
The group quickly threw the blanket object at the zombies, and to their relief, it landed successfully, trapping several of the undead beneath it and buying them some precious time.
Just then, Na-hee stopped, sensing a familiar aura from the zombies beneath them. Her heart raced as heavy footsteps echoed up the stairs toward the three of them. She slowly began to back away, her instincts screaming for her to retreat.
A slight gap in the barrier revealed Gwi-nam, his bloodied eye glaring menacingly at them. He carried a zombie by its collar, a twisted smirk plastered across his face, as if he reveled in the chaos around him.
Cheong-san stepped protectively in front of Na-hee. "Stay behind me, Na-hee." he told her, his voice steady but laced with urgency as he locked eyes with Gwi-nam.
Na-hee felt a cold sweat trickle down her back at the sight of him, his presence was suffocating.
Cheong-san, who was closer to Gwi-nam, stood face to face with him, his fists clenched. Gwi-nam began to climb over the railing of the stairs, but in a reflexive move, an object in Cheong-san's hand flew toward Gwi-nam's face.
Gwi-nam merely smirked, dodging effortlessly as if he had anticipated the attack. Seizing the opportunity, he lunged forward and grabbed Cheong-san by the collar, pulling him close.
"Give me your eye, huh?" Gwi-nam threatened, his voice dripping with malice. He reached for Cheong-san's face, his fingers inching dangerously toward his eye. But Na-hee couldn't stand by any longer, she intervened, grabbing Gwi-nam's neck in a swift motion.
"Get away from him!" Na-hee shouted, her voice fierce despite the fear coursing through her veins.
Gwi-nam, however, was unfazed. With a brutal shove, he threw Cheong-san against the wall, and Cheong-san groaned in pain from the impact, his body crumpling to the floor.
"I told you I would find you again." Gwi-nam taunted, his smirk never leaving his face as he turned his attention to Na-hee.
He grabbed her wrist forcefully, and despite her desperate attempts to yank it back, he was far stronger.
Gwi-nam's grip tightened around her neck, and Na-hee thrashed against his hold, panic rising within her.
"Na-hee!!!!" Cheong-san and Su-hyeok both yelled, their voices filled with desperation.
Just then, Nam-ra burst onto the scene, her eyes fierce with determination. With a swift motion, she threw Gwi-nam down the stairs, sending him crashing onto the zombies below.
Na-hee slid down to the ground, gasping for breath as tears streamed down her cheeks. Nam-ra quickly helped her up, worried about Na-hee.
Cheong-san watched in concern, his eyes wide with worry as he turned to Na-hee, his heart aching for her.
