Chapter Seven
08:05, 18 June 2019I woke up in a dark room. My eyes felt crusty and I was cold. It smelt like mildew and firewood. There was also a hint of a grassy smell. I felt carpet underneath my bare feet. My head felt sore and i was slightly dizzy. I tried to move my hands but they were tied behind me to a pole. I couldn't even stand because of how low they were tied. I began panicking again, trying to come up with an idea on how to escape, but I had no idea where i was, and i also couldn't see.
Another hour or so, at least that's what it seemed, went by. This was until I heard a door open and a dim yellow tinted light turned on. My eyes burned from the sudden change in lighting and it took me a second for my eyes to adjust. After they did, i looked up and was greeted with a wide bloody smile mere inches away from my face. I screamed, which resulted in a quick kick to my stomach. I was humped over, spitting up blood when a hand met my chin, forcing me to look up at the man.
At a quick glace, you wouldn't be able to tell, but this man staring back at me with a bloody smile was Jeff. At this realization, my eyes widened in fear and i wanted to scream again, but i held it back knowing what would happen. Jeff's eyes were now wider than any normal persons, as the eyelids were gone completely. His smile, which had once almost been attractive, was now stained with blood, as the corners of his lips, leading to his cheek bones were now sliced open. I could see every single one of his teeth shining red from blood even though his mouth was closed. I tried scooting away from him but the pole behind me still pressed up against my back.
It hit me that I've been just staring at him horror when he said, "What the fuck you looking at?". His smile growing more as he leaned in closer to me. I could smell the coppery scent of the blood from his teeth. I felt my stomach turn because of it. I looked away from him.
"Please. I wanna go home... just let me go and I won't tell anyone that I know who you are..." I plead Jeff. "I'll just say you were wearing a mask or something. Just please!" Jeff laughs at me right in my face, pushing out the scent of blood even more, before standing up straight.
"I really think i'm that stupid? First of all, I've heard that one before. Do you really think you're the first girl?" He looks at me, his smile somehow growing. "And second... I WANT people to know who I am, why do you think I keep leaving my mark all over my crime scenes?" He laughs a loud sinister laugh.
My eyes start tearing up at the thought of all those poor people he has killed. "What... What happened Jeff...? To your face?" I ask and his smile seems to grow.
"Oh aren't i just beautiful," His eyes somehow get wider as he laughs darkly. "And, I've been this way for awhile... why you haven't noticed before is complicated and utterly annoying..." he seems to let a hint of annoyance and anger shine through his overly happy persona, which is quickly covered back up by a giant smile. "You sure talk a lot don't you? I might have to do something about that..." He says happily while holding up a bloody knife. I scream again, which results in another blow to the stomach. I scream out in pain while spitting up more blood. "No one can hear you all the way out here so just shut your damn trap, Kay?" He says while rubbing his temples.
"Why.. Why me? Just let me go. Please." I beg his and he just smiles while watching me cry. It seems to cause him joy.
"Well... I wasn't going to choose you... until i looked into you a bit more that is." Jeff says with dark smile.
