Chapter Six
08:11, 26 September 2018I woke up that morning and did my same morning routine. Shower, get ready, breakfast, news channel, then to school. As I was driving to school, I couldn't stop thinking about the night before. The sound coming from my closet. I couldn't tell if it was a dream or reality. It was all I could think about all day. Second to Jeff.
I got to my first hour, ready to confront him for stalking me. To my surprise, he wasn't there. His chair next to mine was empty. Although I was ready to tell him off, him not being there felt like a weight being lifted off my chest.
I went through the rest of the day peacefully. That same relief filled me till the very bell rang at 3 PM. This was when I ran to my car like I usually do and started my journey home. The normal route that I took was blocked off because it was where the park is, where those bodies were found. I had to take a different route. This way was the long way. I was at the light, waiting to take a right when I felt my hair get pulled back and something cold get shoved against my neck. I gasped and looked in my rear view mirror. I saw a hand holding a knife to my neck, the other hand had my hair wrapped around it. I slowly looked up the body to find the face of the person.
Jeff.
"I need you to take a left after this light." Was all Jeff said. I slowly nodded and did what he said.
Jeff didn't say much after that until we got to the very end of the road.
"Take a right here." He said. The right led into a dirt road which disappeared into the forest. I took the right and kept driving.
All of a sudden he let go of my hair and swerved the wheel to right and we started deeper into the forest off the path. He yelled at me to stop. I pressed on the breaks and he got out of the car. He then opened my door and pulled me by my hair. I screamed.
"No please! Stop!" I squirmed and screamed at him as he pulled me by my hair from my car and threw me to the ground. Tears were streaming from my face. I looked up and saw a sick smile on his face. The edges looked as if they were going to tear open.
"Scream all you want sweetheart, no one can here you out here." He said, kneeling down to meet my face as I tried to crawl backwards. He grabbed a handful of my hair and brought my face closer to him. He smelt metallic. "Trust me. I would know." He said. The smile on his face widened and he started laughing darkly like there was some sort of joke I was missing.
"Please STOP! I didn't do anything!" I screamed crying. His eyes became narrow.
Jeff stood up, letting go of my hair. He stared down at me before smiling again and laughing loudly into the air.
"How pathetic. I HATE when people beg. It's no fun." He said. There was a disappointed tone in his voice. I started screaming.
This is when I felt a hard blow to my stomach. The air was knocked out of me. I was gasping while also coughing up blood. All I heard was his giggles and my choking when my hair was tugged back viciously. I gasped again. I was being dragged backwards by my hair. I tried screaming as loud as I could through the pain in my abdomen.
All I could do was scrape the hands above my head that were pulling me to my certain death.
