Chapter Five

Later that night, I stayed in my room while my mom had her panic attach with my father downstairs. I looked at the clock, it was almost midnight. I went to go get my pajamas on. I started to take off my shirt, soon after realizing that my window was still open. I walked over quickly and locked it, shutting the blinds afterwords. I continued to take off my clothes then put on a giant t-shirt. 

I was starting to get in my bet when I heard familiar giggling. I froze dead in my tracks. I could feel my heart pounding. I slowly walked over and turned off my light, then looked out my window. Down below, i could see the outline of a body. I couldn't make out much detail from it being so dark, but the moon loomed over the body ever so slightly that i could see that they were wearing a white hoodie that looked like it had black dots, like paint, all over it. It was the same guy from earlier at the stop light. 

I felt my heart racing. It was practically outside my body. This was the killer. I ran downstairs and told my mother and father what I just saw. They ran up to my bedroom window. I waited behind them as they looked out. I heard my dad sigh. He turned around.

"There's nothing there Misty." He said to my, his eyes closed in annoyance. I ran over to the window. 

"No there was a man there. I swear there was. I saw him!" I yelled at my dad.

"Okay, then we will call the police. Tell them, have them look around." My mother chimed in. My dad seemed annoyed but just went with it. 

About an hour later, I was finally done talking with the cops about what I saw. They were searching the perimeter for about an hour after that before they came back empty handed. They told us to bet some sleep and whoever it was seemed to be gone now. It definitely didn't make me feel better but I listened and went to bed. Just as I was falling asleep, I heard that same giggling. But this was different. This wasn't coming from outside anymore. This was coming from inside my closet.
