Lorelei's POV

    IT'S the day that almost everyone but not me has been waiting. It's the day of red. It's not even a holiday but people loves waiting for this day to come. What day is it today? Valentines Day.

I suddenly remember Jamie, the only girl club mate I have back highschool. Honestly, there's just 4 members of that club we are into. Alistair, Jamie, myself and ofcourse, the one and only club president, Loki. Jamie is such a bubbly person. She loves clinging to our club president. She's always the one who insist participating to activities like this.

I miss her. She's studying at a different school because of the course she's taking plus the fact that she's busy in her little career. She's building her career at an early age and I admire her for that. I haven't seen her for a month now.

Right now, I'm just relaxing at a small bench here in our school. Classes in the afternoon are suspended due to the event happening later up to 6 pm tonight. My plan was to go home after taking an attendance but my plan changed when I saw a man going straight outside. It's been a month since we got into that little fight. Yeah, the man I saw leaving our school premises is Loki.

I don't know but he's a little bit off so I secretly followed him. He road a taxi and I immediately stop another taxi coming.

"Manong pasundan naman po yung taxi na yon." I said

Hindi ko alam kung bakit ko siya sinusundan ngayon. Basta bigla na lang nag pop up sa utak ko na dapat ko siyang sundan.

But where's he going? Is he going home? Pero hindi naman ito ang daan pauwi sa dating apartment namin.

Hindi nagtagal nakita Kong tumigil din Ang sinasakyan ni Loki na taxi. Pinagilid ko lang ang sasakyan at hindi muna ako bumaba. Pinagmasdan ko siyang pumasok sa isang flower shop na malapit. I felt a pang in my chest.

Gantong ganto din yon. Years ago, sinundan din namin siya dahil nacurious kami kung bakit ayaw niyang sumama samin sa mall para mag bonding. It turns out he's visiting his old friend, Rhea.

I know you'll call me crazy. S'yempre kaibigan niya kaya dadalawin niya. Akala ko din 'yon lang yon. But years passed, he still haven't moved on. Years passed, it's still her. So I gave up. Kasi para saan pa? Mahirap ipaglaban ang taong tumatangging ipaglaban mo siya. Ang mas masakit pa don, patay na yung taong kakompetensiya ko, so anong laban ko don?

I wipe the single tear that fell in my cheeks. Hindi na ako babalik don. Hindi na ako maghihintay ulit na parang tanga. I've learned my lesson.

"Diretso na  po ulit tayo manong. Sa pinakamalapit na restaurant na lang po."

I ENTERED a classic restaurant. This place is full of red because of the event today. I don't hate it I just don't like the effect of this event to me.

I ordered my food today and a take out for later.

Naalala ko na naman iyong kanina. Hindi man niya sinasadya pero palagi na lang niyang pinaparamdam sakin 'yon. Na parang kahit anong gawin ko, wala akong pag asa. Akala ko dati si Jamie pa ang makakakompetensiya ko. Jamie liked Loki before or more like she's obsessed with him but I don't know if it's still now.

I gave up a long time ago pero kahit ganon andito pa din yung sakit. Ewan, hindi ko alam kung kailan ba 'to matatapos o matatapos pa ba ito.

I heaved a sigh. Hirap naman ng ganito.

I looked at my phone when it vibrated. A text someone showed up.

Luthor:Where are you?

I replied with 'Outside the school. Why?'

It's not long before I received a reply from him.

Luthor:I have to talk to you about something. Are you free later tonight?

Me:Sure. No problem.

Luthor:Alright. Let's meet 7pm later. I'll text the address.

I kept my phone kasabay ng pagdating ng  waiter para i-serve ang pagkain ko. The food is fine. Actually, this is one of my favorite restaurant to go to. I am in the middle of enjoying my food when a bouquet of white roses was place on my table.

"Ah excuse me, Hindi naman a..." My words was cut off as soon as I saw the man standing beside me.

"Hello." Guess who? I just saw him earlier buying flowers and now he's in front of me.

"Anong ginagawa mo dito?" I said while taking my gaze away from him. I continued eating while he dared to sit in front of me. He raised his hand and made an order— which is the same as mine.

As he finished, I glared at him and the bastard just said "What?"

Seriously?

Nawalan na ako ng gana kaya kinuha ko na bag ko at akmang tatawagin ang waiter para sa bill ng mag salita siya.

"Fine. Isn't it obvious? I'm giving you this flowers. This is supposed to be later but I saw you following me so I decided to give it to you now so you won't think of anything else. Satisfied?"

Napakurap kurap ako dahil hindi ako makapaniwala. Sino bang maniniwala? We all know what kind of person he is. I laugh a little before I continued eating my food.

"Sinong niloko mo? I saw you earlier buying flowers just like before. Remember when you didn't come with us and choose to visit her? I know that you sense us following you. Kaya tigilan mo na 'to."

"Well, to tell you honestly, I'll visit her later—"

"At talagang sinabi mo pa."

"Because I want to be honest with you."

I pause and looked at him in the eye.

"She's someone who I can't and will never erase in my life. Before you, she's the only person that cared for me. She's the only one who believed in me. She did everything for me."

I know that. I know I don't have the right to complain because before me there's a she. But I just can't help it. It's consuming me. I looked outside but his next words made me look at him again.

"But you're different. You're here and you know me. You memorized everything about me. You've put up with my crazy antics. You know that I am not used to these kinds of things but all I know is that you're special. Someone dearly to me."

He heaved a long sigh after that and said "You probably think I don't mean these words but please believe me."
