⋆ Chapter 47 ⋆I Am Crazier

                It's been a week since Nate revealed the truth to Adaline. She hasn't said more than two words to him since.

The Jacobs boy has been desperately trying to win the girl back. Everyday he leaves a bouquet of flowers in her locker with a cute little note. He also tries to stay by her side throughout the day. His thinks that eventually she's going to get tired of ignoring him and give in.

But so far Adaline has proved that she's stronger than Nate originally thought. She hasn't give in to him yet and she doesn't plan to.

It was Adaline's last class of the day and Nate was hastily making his way towards her classroom. He wanted to be there waiting when she exited the room. His plan was to take her out after school and show her how sorry he was.

What Nate wasn't expecting was to be cornered by a certain blonde before he even reached Adaline's class.

"What the hell Cassie!" The boy exclaimed when he realized who dragged him into an empty classroom.

"We need to talk Nate."

"Not at fucking school where anyone can see!"

"You've been ignoring me for the last two weeks!" She cried. "When else am I supposed to talk to you?"

"There's nothing to talk about."

"I really need you Nate. I feel terrible about what we did." Cassie ranted breathing heavily. "If I would've known you guys were together, I wouldn't have done this."

"That's a lie!" Nate scoffed.

"It's not a lie."

"You have this image of yourself as so fսcking sweet and innocent but it's bullshit." The Jacobs boy laughed getting in her face. "If you were a fսcking sweet person, you wouldn't have kissed your best friend's boyfriend."

"You two were fighting. I thought you guys were broken up." She argued.

"That is a comfort to nobody but you."

"I can't do this." The blonde exclaimed.

"What, you wanna go tell Addie? Maybe Maddy?"

"Maybe I will." She pouted crossing her arms over her chest.

"Go ahead. You know they'll literally kill you."

"You know what you don't realize, Nate? Is I don't care what happens to me. I don't care how angry Adaline or even Maddy gets." Cassie practically yelled. "You two shouldn't be together. You're toxic."

"How would you know?"

"Because she's my best friend. She tells me things." Cassie nodded. "Plus I already know how you are from Maddy. Adaline's not good for you and you're not good for her."

"What the actual fuck are you talking about?" Nate questioned. "You don't know shit about mine and Adaline's relationship."

"I know more than you think I do and I'm going to do everything I can to prevent you guys from getting back together."

"It doesn't matter what you do." He shook his head with a smirk. "Adaline's having my baby which means she's always going to be in my life."

Cassie grew quiet at the mention of Nate and Adaline's baby. She didn't like to think about it because it made her unbelievably jealous.

"It doesn't matter." She smiled. "Once she knows what happened between us she'll never forgive you."

"Yeah and you're forgetting one thing."

"What?" Cassie questioned clearly clueless.

"As soon as you tell Addie she'll go and tell Maddy and guess who they're going to come after?"

"I'm not scared of them."

"Don't lie. You know how fսck¡ng crazy Maddy is, which is only going to be worse considering you not only hurt her but also her best friend."

"I don't care! What you don't understand, Nate, is that I am crazier!"

"That's not something to be fսcking proud of, Cassie!"

"No... but it is something you should be scared of." She stated with no emotion.

"What the fսck?" Nate exclaimed with wide eyes. He couldn't believe how psychotic she was acting. "You can't fսck¡ng blackmail me into doing what you want!"

"Blackmail means you don't have choices." Cassie nodded thinking it over. "In reality, you do have choices. You just have to own up to the consequences of them!"

"That is the literal fսck¡ng definition of blackmail!"

"Fine, it's blackmail! I don't care! It doesn't change anything!"

"It's fսckеd up!" He screamed in her face.

"You know what's fսckеd up, Nate?" The Howard girl asked sweetly. "You cheating on your pregnant girlfriend with one of her best friends."

"What the fսck is wrong with you? What don't you understand?" Nate shouted. "I don't fucking like you Cassie! What happened between us was a moment of weakness. It meant nothing to me!"

"You still cheated." She shrugged. "I think Adaline deserves to know."

"Yeah and if you tell her who do you think she'll hate more? Who do you think she'll forgive first?" The boy seethed. "I'm the father of her child. She's always going to have to put up with me. But you? You're nothing to her!"

With those final words Nate stormed out of the classroom and headed straight towards his original destination. Thankfully when he arrived the class was just ending and he didn't miss Adaline.

"Ads!" He yelled gaining her attention from down the hall.

The brunette sighed but ended up walking towards him. She knew he wouldn't stop if she ignored him. Sometimes it was just easier to listen to whatever bullshit he had to say and then walk away.

"I um was wondering if you'd let me take you out?" Nate mumbled nervously scratching the back of his neck.

He silently waited for Adaline to respond. He could see the wheels turning in her head. She was probably thinking over her decision and considering the pros and cons of going or not going.

Unfortunately, for Nate the girl didn't have a chance to reply because Maddy came rushing over and quickly stealing the brunette's attention from the tall male in front of her.

"Hey bitch! You ready to go?" The Perez girl inquired.

"Go where?" Nate asked looking towards his ex girlfriend for an answer.

"Addie promised she'd help me pick out a dress to wear for my birthday tomorrow night." She replied. "We're going shopping so whatever you had planned is going to have to wait seeing as my birthday is more important."

"You having a party?" Nate wondered aloud.

"Maybe." Maddy shrugged raising a brow. "Why? You wanna come?"

Nate looked at Adaline who looked absolutely mortified. She definitely did not want Nate to show up at Maddy's birthday party. She was hoping to just spend the night with her friends and not be worried about boy drama.

"I could swing by." He smiled thinking about how he could use this party to make it up to Adaline. "If that's okay with you."

"I don't give a fuck as long as you get me a gift." The Perez girl winked before grabbing Adaline's hand and dragging her away.
