White Roses
12:19, 14 September 2024On Friday, the day unexpectedly passed easy. There was no drama or tension between anyone but it's not like either of the friend groups were super close right now. Andrew and Lexi kept their relationship under the wraps for now just to save it for the lake house.
As Lexi was sitting on the couch with Brent she realized that she might need a ride. "Brent you're taking me to the lake right?" Lexi asked, expecting a yes. "No what? I'm taking Pierson find your own ride." Brent replied, not even looking up from his phone. "Ugh of course you are. I'll just get a ride from Andrew."
Lexi called Andrew and somehow he answered on the first ring. "Hey Lex what's up?" Andrew said. Brent looked over at the screen, usually she only let Pierson and Brent call her Lex. Lexi felt her cheeks turn pink as she stumbled over her words, "I- Can you give me a ride to the lake?" Andrew smiled at her little stutter, "Sure ba-" Andrew cut himself off as Lexi tilted the camera so he could see Brent. "Sorry of course Lexi. I'll pick you at 2 tomorrow?" Lexi laughed nervously hoping they didn't slip up, "Sounds good thank you Andrew!"
After the call ended Lexi couldn't stop smiling. "You have something for Andrew don't you." Brent said, turning to her with a serious look. Lexi could feel her cheeks turn an even brighter shade of red. "No what do you mean?" Brent almost laughed at the way she tried to cover it up. "Come on Lexi, he's hot and you like him just admit it." Brent said teasing Lexi. "Ew what I'm going up to my room." Lexi said, quickly walking away. "Okay Lex but when you guys say you're dating I get to say I told you so!" Brent yelled from the couch.
A few hours passed when Andrew texted Lexi.
Andrew💗- Hey babe, is Brent still with you?
Lexi-🩷 No I'm in my room now
Andrew💗- Okay good
Lexi🩷- Why?
Minutes passed and Andrew didn't answer her texts. What was he planning?
As Lexi's texts went unanswered she began to cry. She didn't know why she just had a sudden sad feeling. Why didn't Andrew want to answer her? It wasn't that big of a deal but Lexi really cared. She wasn't sure if it was because she glanced at Ben's picture or if Andrew didn't text her back or a mix of both.
Her vision became blurry as she plopped herself onto the bed. It's been a while since she just cried for no reason and it felt good. The past few days had been really rough for Lexi and now she could let it ALL out. As she closed her eyes she heard a tapping on her window.
She opened them and looked at the window to see rocks being thrown. She looked out and saw Andrew standing with something behind his back.
She opened her window and talked as quietly as she could with Andrew still being able to hear her. "Andrew what are you doing!" Andrew smiled and laughed at the the cute face Lexi put on without even knowing. "I mean I can go back if you want to!" Lexi pouted, "Nooo! Come inside I miss you." Andrew smiled before coming through the back door to meet Lexi without Brent knowing. "Okay Lexi go in front of me I have a surprise."
They tiptoed up to her room passing by Brent with ease. Andrew placed his surprise in Lexi's bathroom, instructing her to not look until Andrew brought it out. As they sat on her bed, Andrew looked deeply into her eyes. "Lex why have you been crying?" Lexi smiled, she wasn't actually sad she just needed to cry, "I don't know I just felt like I needed to." Andrew smiled a gave her a hug, "I love you pretty girl." Lexi closed her eyes and took in Andrew's cologne. "I love you more Andrew." Lexi broke the hug to look into his eyes.
"That's not true." Andrew said, she could never love him more than he loved her. Lexi laughed as she leaned in to kiss Andrew, her smile big. Andrew kissed her back gently but with passion, the feeling of their lips together sent sparks through their bodies. Everything felt right when they were together. They were meant to be.
They both pulled away breathlessly, Lexi laughed at her lip gloss smeared on Andrew. "Can I see my gift now?" Lexi asked in a soft voice. "Hmm, I don't know can you?" Andrew replied flirtatiously. "Yes!" Lexi exclaimed, running into the bathroom. She came out with a beautiful bouquet of white roses.
"Oh. My. GOSH! Andrew thank you so so much. How did you know these were my favorites!" Lexi ran up to Andrew and hugged him tightly, her eyes tearing up with happiness. "It's a long story..." Andrew said, scratching the back of his head. Lexi sat back down as she admired the flowers, "Tell me love I want to know!"
Andrew smiled and leaned in close to Lexi, "The night you went to the hospital I asked because I knew I wanted to ask you out with them. I knew you wouldn't remember so I thought it was perfect. I realized that I didn't get to ask you out with them so I got them now." Andrew said as he wrapped his arms around Lexi and kissed her head.
Lexi began to cry and Andrew wiped away her tears, bringing her head into the curve of his neck. "Lex, it's okay they're just flowers." Lexi looked up lovingly, "No they aren't just flowers. They're more when they come from you." Andrew laughed at the way Lexi cried over such a small gesture.
"I love you so much." Lexi said, still crying tears of joy. "I love you so so SO much baby." Andrew said, pulling her up to give her a kiss. Andrew couldn't stop staring at Lexi for the next hour he was there. They laid on the bed, Andrew's arm around Lexi, her head laying on his chest. She was so effortlessly beautiful and kind.
She made Andrew feel some type of way, he always wanted to be around her. She was there more than anyone else had ever been in his life. She was what he wanted, what he needed and what meant the most to him. She filled the hole in Andrew's heart that he didn't even know was missing. And little did Andrew know, she felt the same way.
Everyday Lexi would wake up and check her phone for a text from Andrew. He had a soft spot for her and she loved it. Lexi knew that Andrew wasn't a hugging person but still he let her hug him. He made her feel comfortable, like she could share anything without being judged. He was so...perfect. He made Lexi get all nervous inside when he looked in her direction. He gave her goosebumps with every touch. Everyday, Andrew was on Lexi's mind. He meant so much to her and Lexi knew that she would do anything for him. He made her feel safe and Lexi would spend all day missing Andrew without even realizing it. She could talk about Andrew for days and still never get through half of what she actually felt.
They were really meant to be...
