Flashbacks

When they arrived at the Taco Bell drive thru Andrew turned to Lexi, "Lexi, Brianna's been trying to make moves on me and it's kind of making me uncomfortable." Lexi's face immediately sank, knowing she was guilty for keeping the bet from Andrew, "I'm sorry she's just like that, maybe she likes you?" Lexi didn't want Andrew to like Brianna but she needed to say that to help salvage her relationship with Brianna, plus Ben was still in the back of her mind.

"Yeah I think she does but I don't really see her as a potential love interest for me." Andrew said, thinking hard about how to word it the right way. "Please don't tell her I just needed to get it off my chest." Lexi looked at Andrew and put her hand on his shoulder, "Andrew it's okay, but why couldn't you tell one of the boys?" Andrew's eyes were zoning out on the cross necklace hung around the mirror in his car, "I don't know, because I think Jeremy and Dom would get mad that she likes me and out of the girls I'm closest to you. I know we've only known each other for a week but if I'm being honest it feels like I've known you longer. Its weird."

"Wait you're right, I feel like I've known you for years but I haven't." Everything in their surroundings stopped for a moment as Lexi looked into Andrew's eyes. A sparkle spread across Lexi's emerald eyes as they searched Andrew's. Lexi's hand, still on Andrew's shoulder, trailed down his arm and into his hand. Everything felt so right in that moment, like nothing could come in between them. That's when a loud honk startled them both. They both coughed and moved away awkwardly as Andrew pulled up to the window, not realizing the cars in front of him had already left.

The tension between them was distracting throughout the rest of the ride. The whole drive was filled with underlying sparks and secret but deliberate touches. That was everything leading up to the moment they walked through the doors.

Brianna and Jeremy had taken there seats on the couch, each of them making room for Lexi and Andrew to sit next to them. Lexi looked at Andrew who also noticed the saved spots and gave him a certain look that Andrew somehow knew the meaning of exactly. They decided there was enough room for the both of them where Brianna saved a seat for Andrew so that's what they did, sat right in the tight spot next to Brianna. Lexi of course sat next to Brianna but she squeezed in closer to Andrew. The look on Brianna's face was priceless but they pretended to not know what her goal was.  

"Guys there's this movie I really want to watch, it's kind of a love story but it should be action too." Andrew said scrolling through Netflix. "Oh here it is!" Brent squinted at the TV reading the title, "Hey I heard that was kinda sad though" Andrew looked confused, "Really I thought it was one of those action love movies." Brianna grabbed the remote from Andrew, "Whatever just play it!"

As the movie began to play a bad feeling grew in the pit of Lexi's stomach. The movie turned out to be about 2 people who were very deeply in love but they both had a lot of issues with friends and got into fights with a lot of people. The guy went for a drive one night after a rough day and died in a car crash. It broke the girl but the story sounded familiar.

Lexi felt light headed at the thought of Ben, the moment she found out about his death replaying in her mind. She got up dizzily without a word and began to stumble to the bathroom. There she fell on her knees and threw up in the toilet, tears streaming down her face. She missed Ben so much and all the flirting she did with Andrew seemed wrong now to Lexi. She couldn't do this to Ben, not while he was up in heaven watching her from above. She missed the way he smelled and the way he made her laugh. His face was starting to blur out of her memory too.

Andrew did so many things like Ben. When they would stop at red lights Andrew would tap his finger against the the car door just like him. He would open the door for Lexi just like Ben. When they were bored in class they would both make the same groaning noise while doing tiny finger drums. The only things different was the way they looked and the way people perceived Andrew from the outside. He looked like he would act exactly how the sweet Ben only Lexi knew would.

A huge throbbing pain grew in Lexi head as she heard footsteps and distorted talking in the background. Those were her last thoughts before passing out...
