I Found My best

Keifer's POV

Finally, she said it, those magical words for which I was dying to hear it from her, "love you too, Jay! and missed you a lot. Every time I saw you from a distance, I wanted to run to you and hug you, whenever I saw you fighting alone, I thought of just holding your hand and ran away far from all these things".

I took her palm and kissed them lightly, "staying away from you was like living a cursed life", I rubbed my thumb on her cheeks, "I hate myself for let you live there alone but I had no choice, still I made it sure that no one can harm you".

She saw me with moist eyes, "sometimes it's like impossible to deal with, I thought that I'd just give up but a little hope always gave me strength to keep holding" we said in a sync, "maybe that's what is love..", we looked into each other's eyes, "I won't fuck up things this time, just trust me Jay".

"As you said, your father conspired against you. I know he's an evil man, I myself witnessed this. Kiegan did not used to talk to him but your dad was good to Keiran, though we always kept him away. Still how do you know that he tried to kill you? I mean his own blood, Keifer?", she curiously asked.

I scoffed, "tss..I wish things like relation and emotions mattered to him, when everyone looked at their father as hero but for me, he's the villain of our life. When he killed the one, he loved...his own wife and didn't took a month to get together with another woman, even tried to use his own son and my brother Keigan against me...not a big thing he tried to do same with Keiran for his greed".

"If it's not you with Keigan, then I don't what could've happened in those initial months when I was unconscious?", I sighed, "your habit of being a meddler saved my family", she knitted her brows, "still teasing me", I kissed her forehead, "I'm thanking you".

"And as soon as I came back into senses and got to know everything, I took all in my hands, you're always surrounded by my men and dad was under my surveillance. I couldn't have done this all by remaining in front but when they thought I'm dead, I was there to fail their plans without them knowing it and no doubt Diana really helped me in this all".

"When she finally got her inheritance, we're formally engaged but I didn't agree for marriage and she respected it", as I took Diana's name Jay's face expressions faded, I cupped her face, "not admiring her but I'm jsut telling you neither me nor her crossed any boundary, it's sort of give and take like we just helped each other".

"And I've still protected all my chastity... just for you", I smirked, "but I'm ready to lose it to you anytime". She hit me, "how can you flirt in such serious conversation", I laughed, "anything for you sweetheart!", she once again hits me, and I came back on the topic, "As she was going through maternity phase I took over her work and through it I regulated Watson enterprise as well".

Jay was just listening to me with too much patience, "and I collected all the evidences against him, specially the one that he's the one who killed my mom, the statement from cops that how all they presented it as an accident and also the conspiracy against me", I held her hand, "come with me, I'll show you".

We went inside a locked room, there was a board on which many pictures were pinned, and various files, pen drives lying on the table, "what's this?", Jay asked while taking a look, "and why you've made a cross on your father's picture and who are all these people?", she took a closer look towards other pictures, "I've seen him in your family gatherings", and she pointed at one man, "he misbehaved with me so I pushed him and he's hospitalized later I don't know why he left the city".

She looked at me, "did you?", I nodded slightly, "left the country", she kept questioning, and I was waiting for her to get finish, finally she paid attention over the files, "are these files holding some dark secrets?", I said in a calm voice, "yeah!", she smirked, "something like Epstein's files, do I need a permission from SC to have a look?".

I shook my head, "you're impatient, wait...", I told her, "these are the evidences, especially the video where he planned my plane crash. I'm not that Keifer who can do nothing but now I'm much strong and I'll make him pay for everything; the kind of pain he gave to my mother, for destroying our childhood and gave us a scar for lifetime".

When she saw the videos, her jaws clenched, "if I knew it, I'd have killed that man right away, how can someone do this?", I sniffled trying to hold back my tears, "I don't know, but trust me I will never get you wronged, never hurt you. and see I've learned to manage my anger issues, I did it just for you, so I won't end up like my father", she simply said, "crying won't make you weak".

I couldn't hold and tears dropped off my eyes, "I'll always give you and our family a happy life", she held my hands, "we'll do it together", and I pulled her into a tight hug and maybe it's the only thing I need. It doesn't matter how much strong I behave but in the end I need her so that I can be vulnerable for a moment and can put down all the weight I'm carrying, cry in her arms to become stronger.

She gently caressed my hairs, "I'm tired Jay! I'm fucking tired", I closed my eyes, "once I'll deal with this all, we'll go on long vacation and I swear there will be no one to come in between us". I chose to stay in same position, it's peaceful, "if the world ends right now, I won't mind dying next to you".

I could hear her giggle, "corny", I pressed my head on her shoulder, "whatever, I'll make up for everything, for every single moment of pain you endured". She backed off, "Keifer, it's not only me suffered but you did as well. At least I had people who cared about me were around, but you're all alone. Now just promise me, whenever there will be any mishappening, instead of sending me away, we'll stand strong together".

"It's said that, before every bright light there's always a dark night once we survive it then our life will shine forever", she gracefully conveyed that made me feel confident, maybe that's the last fight I've to go for and hopefully she's there with me, "you know what I literally found my best in you".

I locked the room again, Jay yawns, "I'm sleepy", I looked at her, "really? Jay we're together after an eternity you just can't be sleepy like this", she gazed over me with side eyes, "night is to sleep, right?". I smirked, "but not for couples, we've some other options as well", she turns her face, "option...in your dreams".

I just pulled her, "I mean, we've a lot of things to talk about, I want to know how're you all this time, and how many times you cursed me, the number of people you knocked out and...", she cut me off, "even I want to know this all, what did you do behind me". I smiled, "I missed you", she nods, I continued, "I missed you a lot...and I just missed being with you", this made her smile as well.

She hugged me, resting her head near my heart, "I can hear your heart pumping blood so hard", she whispered, I put my hand to feel it, "hmm...cause I'm with my wife", my smart watch beeped, "even it's showing that's abnormal heartrate", she gradually moves her hand on my chest, "relax, I'm here, you're here...we are together again", and I kissed her forehead.

We both startled as her phone rang, "Aries!", I snorted, "can he stop being a meddler when I'm with my wife", she pinches me and picks up the phone, "don't worry about me, I'll come back soon", I know he must be scolding her and must have idea that she's with me, its okay now Jay is convinced I'll easily restore my relation with you as well Aries.

But right now I want my Jay to be with me without any interruption, and it's been so long I teased both of them, I wrapped my arms around her waist to pull her close, her eyes widens, "don't take too much time baby, I can't wait", I whispered and even left a wet kiss on her cheeks, she wiped it off and pushed me, also the speaker of her phone accidently turned on, "so you're really with Keifer", his voice was little rude.

Jay tried to cover up, "actually...", I spoke in between, "it's my private time with my wifey, call us later Brother in law", this must have blown his head and Jay palmed her face, but I was enjoying, it's fun in annoying girlfriend's brother and specially when he's your best friend too "just shut up you idiot, Jay you're coming back right away or just sent me the location I'll be picking you up".

"How'll you become an uncle with this behavior Aries?", I complained, Jay looked at me with confusion and even Aries's voice sounded the same, "what uncle?", I calmly said, "you'll be uncle of mine and Jay's kids, right? so give us time to work on that".

Jay just snatches away the phone and literally smacked me n times, "you're being too much", she gets back to call, "it's just we're discussing about his return to London and it consumed a lot of time and it's night so I'm just...", he cut her off, "it's your life Jay, and your choices but I'm just concerned about you".

I said with a determination, "and she's my life, and trust me I'll protect her and even ready to prove it to you", he scoffed, "don't give any justification to me, I don't have too much in hands but it's Kuya Angelo with whom you've to deal with", he hangs up with this.

Jay looked at me with concern, "Even I didn't think of this, how'll we convince Kuya Angelo". I thought for a moment, "let's do one thing", she looked at me seriously, "we can... we can make a baby, eventually he's to agree for our marriage".

She sighed, "can you be little serious Keifer?", I nodded, "I'm serious about it, just think when we'll give him this news and instead of scolding us, or there's high probability he might beat me, he'll become happy for becoming an uncle, and his anger might convert into love for our baby, he might forgive me for his niece".

"How come you know it'll be niece, can be nephew as well", though she's a point, but I want a daughter first, "I'll pray to God for a girl, or maybe some do research so that only X chromosome fertilize. She shook her head, "you're really insane", and she moved towards the room, I just followed her.

She lies on the bed, I just hugged her from behind, "can we stop wasting time in sulking and love more", she turned towards me, "Kuya Angelo cares about me a lot and he's always be like a father to me, it's important to convince him, I took her hands, "jokes apart, I'll do everything to accept our relation, even I'll beg for it, if it's for you I'll keep everything aside".

I moved closer, "good night", she pecked on my lips, "good night, I wish from today we'll sleep beside each other everyday", I smiled, "sure!", I wrapped my her arms around her to take her completely into my embrace, she keeps her legs over me and pressed her face on my chest, I kissed her forehead, "I want to celebrate new year with you and my family, can we go back?", I assured her, "we'll go back to Manila after Christmas party, thankfully I restored my passport before it's cancelled by my father".

"Christmas is in two days, I wish Diana can solve her matter with her boyfriend, I don't want that kid to suffer but have a happy life", she said and I adored her, even that girl tried to steal me still she's hoping for all good for her, "everyday my love for is increasing, for the person you're Jay!", she sighs, "let me sleep now". I caressed her hair, "alright! just sleep well and have good dreams about my handsome face".

She throws pillow on my face, "shut up, narcissist", I removed the pillow and covered ourselves into the blanket and slept.

I took her back to the hotel, and asked all of them to check out, "you guys are now shifting into my home until Christmas then we'll go back to Manila for New Year", Aries stood strong, "why will I listen to you? I'm not leaving".

"I understand your anger towards me, but I'm ready to explain it. Aries, I did wrong but I'm ready to correct it all, please you're my bestfriend and knows everything about my family, to deal with that I had to do this all", I tried explaining.

He sighed, "well...to have a new wife and daughter here, Idk what's wrong with Jay that she's still trusting over you", I was hurt as before Jay he's the one whom I met, "do you really think I'm that kind of person? That's not my daughter and I never Jay to suffer like this but..."

He cut me off, "of course she suffered but she's not the only one, I did too. You're calling me as your best friend and got disappear for two fucking years and never thought of consulting me, I saw his teary eyes, "what kind of friends we are then?", Jay held his hands, "I know Aries! we both went through same, but you need to know his side as well, it's", he shrugged off her hand, "it's on Kuya Angelo now, he'll deal".

Before he leaves, I hugged him, "No, it's about our friendship, and we've to sort it out. I can't be less thankful for protecting my brothers, Aries please don't be like that". He backed off, and wiped off his tears instantly, "it might take some time", he went inside his room.

Diana invited us for the Christmas Eve, this was the first time I was about to meet her boyfriend, he explained that how he went to another country mistakenly and imprisoned for being suspect of spying. He's not even able to contact, somehow, he's proved innocent and made it here. Diana thanked Jay, "if you didn't ask me to listen to him, we'd have never united".

My meddler always solves everyone's case, even Diana's boyfriend Fred thanked me for taking care of his family, "when I got to know that I'm about to become a father I was happy, but look at my poor fate I missed my daughter's birth, even a complete year", his voice was painful, "and she's not even aware that I'm her real father".

Ivy soon comes, "papa', she jumped into my arms, and I looked at Fred, Diana then Jay, it might take time to make that kid realise this all, Diana comes towards me, "he's your papa baby", she pointed at Fred.

But Ivy wrapped her arms around me, Diana tried to take her, but she clung to me hard, Fred too tried but she cried, "I'm not leaving him", I took her outside and Jay followed me, we sat into the garden, "she's just a kid".
