Hide & Seek

Keifer's POV

Jay went into the washroom to take a shower, "this crazy woman, she's not in senses still doesn't listen",  I chose to wait outside.

I was just sitting & scrolling the phone, and felt like something was moving, "what's that?", my reflex made me jump, "ohh Keifie". I just picked up that creature, it's really cute & sweet, I ruffled his furs & it responded by nodding head.

I chuckled as its ears were waving, like saying hello to me, "I'm jealous of you, cause Jay loves you a lot", oh yes, it's been around half an hour why she's not out yet.

I knocked on the door, "Jay, come on, you might get sick", she's not responding. "Jay, you alright? Jay". I knocked, "Keif...", it's a low whisper , "Jay? Open the door". No actions were taken, and a sound like something fell.

"Jay- Jay, is something wrong?" "Help me!", her voice was rarely audible, "I'm coming inside", and without a moment I pushed the door, it's opened but I kept my eyes close, and tried finding her, seems like I was playing hide & seek, trying to find her with closed eyes.

With the support of the door I went inside, trailing my hands on the wall to avoid falling, bottles of bodywash and shampoo came into my way, why they're lying on floor, "Jay, hold my hand", she groaned, "I can't, help". I turned in opposite direction to grab her bathrobe and with close eyes I gave it to her, "wear it".

She took that, "you're behaving like we've never been intimate" , her voice was still trembling, damn when you can't handle then why the hell you got drunk. That's right, we've been close but the time has changed & if you got to know about this all, you'll punch me until I'm in the hospital.

Oh yes, she is not supposed to know this all, I partially opened my eyes, she was lying against the wall covering herself in the robe, I moved towards her & helped her in getting up, "how did you fall?". She pushed me & I got mis- balanced due to soapy floor, "fuck, what did you do?".

All I could hear was her giggles, "that's how I fell". I gathered up myself, "you..", her smile made me smile, I moved closer, "I can fall a hundred times, even I can die to see you smile like this".

I bit my lips, as the water shining on her face, dripping down from her hair, I immediately shook my head, "let's get out of here", she nodded and moved but was limping, might be she's hurt because of falling.

I offered her my hand, to her & she grasped it but  my heartbeat dropped as she wrapped her arms around me, "is something bothering you?", she gently asked.

She literally asked me about me, did she still care about me? Still my presence matters to her? , "Why don't you tell me? Where were you?". I want to tell you but I'm myself afraid of remembering those days, the fucking days which made me feel miserable.

She cupped my face, "one can hate but it doesn't mean one has stopped loving", she blinked her eyes, pressed her fingers on my lips, "they're so dry", she gets on her toes, "too dry", and moved her lips closer, I forgot how to breath. I almost lost to the moment but I just hugged her, resting her head on my chest,making her hear my loud heartbeats.

I realised she was asleep "Hey you can't sleep like this", but she was not responding, i just scooped her up, took her to her room & placed on her bed. I adored that sleeping beauty, same innocent face for which I fell infinite times.

Her phone buzzed with a notification, "Hi", it's from Rio, "still she's in contact with him, and calls him Rio", this guy was such a headache, "are you up?", it's midnight of course a normal human sleeps.

"Ik it's midnight there, but I want to wish you happy halloween", Okay thank you. There's no other guy who made me jealous more than this man, Rio aka Alex, not even Yuri.

*Flashback*

It's raining, Jay came back after buying snacks, and saw the house was locked, "huh? no one is home, Kuya? Aries? Aunt? Uncle? and not even maids?", she called Aries and he's at Ella's place and informed that something came up in their hometown and Angelo left with Gemma. "So what am I supposed to do? get drenched into the rain", she sighed.

She keeps the bag of snacks under the shed in verandah, and sits around it, the rainwater due to wind was coming on her, briefly touching her face, she closed her eyes to feel the droplets, stretched her legs to get them wet and after a while she couldn't hold and got herself drenched into the rain. she was dancing and enjoying it, and heard a click sound, "Keifer? what're you doing".

Keifer was standing near the boundary wall, holding an umbrella and smiling, clicking her picture, "nothing, maybe not a messy cat but a patient from Mental Asylum escaped and I found it", she shot a look, "do you think it's funny, ha?".

He came inside by opening the door, "Childish.. but you're looking happy right now", she clenched her jaws, "so I want to complain to Angelo again". He changed his expression into a serious one, "I can prove I didn't tell him about you participating in the car race", she ignored him, "seems like you can't go in, how about staying at my place".

She scoffed, "no need, I can manage", and she turned around and sat near the door, he shook his head, "stubborn". and went near her, "you might catch a cold if kept sitting in wet clothes". She rolled her eyes, "I don't need your concern", he scoffed, "tss... alright, keep sitting".

He turned to leave, "achoo", she sneezed and not once but 3-4 times. Keifer exhales deeply, made Jay hold the umbrella, "I'm already drenched, it won't help", he didn't say a word but carried her in arms, she resisted "what..", he adjusts her properly, "shh", and moves towards his house and took her in.

Keifer made her sit on the couch, and brought a towel for her, "help yourself", she started wiping off herself. He coughed, "actually I don't have any girly outfit but you can grab my tshirt", she smirked, "if you had something girly then it might be a more thinkable thing".

He furrows his brows, "well, I don't need to change, I'm fine", she said but her voice was trembling due to cold and also hands were shaking. he goes near her, "so like I brought you in, you want me to do same for your clothes as well", she pushed him and throws towel on his face, "jerk". And she got up, "get me some then".

Keifer bites his lips and smiled, "come with me", he took her to his room and opened his wardrobe, "get something", she observed carefully, her hands went near a hoodie with a print of rifles but she immediately shifted them to a plane and took that. He was noticing her actions, "washroom is that way', he points at the corner.

Jay hesitated, "that's yours, is there any guest room", he replied, "ahh.. the geyser is not working there, I don't mind you can use it". she gets in, he prepared tomato soup for her. She came downstairs and he asked her to sit at a dining table, she smells the soup, "are you trying to make it up for your mistake".

"See it", he shows his phone, Jay saw the number and name which sent Angelo the pictures of her, "Gabriel?", she asked, "the name is familiar".

Keifer nodded, "yes, he's one of the competitors, I doubt the brakes of your car were also failed by him". she looked shocked, "cause my gears were not working properly as well, and I got to know he came a day before".

Keifer keeps soup in front of her, "have it, and stop overthinking, I'll handle him". Jay sips the soup, "but how do you get to know", he smirked, "I've my ways".

They continued the conversation and her phone rang, her eyes sparkled, "after a long time", she picked up the call, "Riooo", her voice was delighted, "finally you realised that I exist", she got up and moved while talking.

Keifer's expressions darkened, "Rio? she's becoming happy like her boyfriend called", his eyes kept tracing Jay's movement, she's roaming in the living room.

"I don't think you miss me", "will you come here", and Keifer kept sipping the soup it's hot and spicy, but he didn't care and eyes were not leaving Jay. "Ohh you wanna video call, but I'm not home right now, will do it later".

Jay came back after hanging up and saw Keifer's face was red and eyes teary, "you literally finished such hot soup in one sip", she shook her head and started having her soup. "Who's on the call", he asked, "a friend", she casually replied.

He scoffed, "oh,seems like a close friend", she nodded, "yes, too close, my saviour", she chuckled, "maybe future boyfriend".

Keifer choked on water, she laughed, "kidding, but I'm happy as he's coming here to meet me", he rolled his eyes, "why?". She while sipping said, "he's missing me". Keifer clenched his jaws, "well, I wanna meet him as well".

Aries came inside, "I know I'll find you here", he too joins them on dining table, "what's up with your clothes Jay?", he looked at Keifer, "what's going on in between you two?", his eyes were intense, "what have you done to my sister?". Jay clarified, "I got drenched in rain".

Keifer scoffed, "stop staring me, when your sister already has a boyfriend", his voice was possessive laced with jealousy. Aries glares at Jay, "boyfriend?". She nods in negation, "no.. no", she points at Keifer, "he's making up things, such a jerk".

Aries nodded, Keifer smirked, "it's you who said, Rio my future boyfriend", Jay threw a spoon at him, "I was just joking", Aries strictly asked, "who is Rio?". She calmly said, "he's my friend", Keifer cut her off, "and soon coming to meet her".

Aries furrowed his brows, "wanna meet him". Jay moved her eyes from Aries Keifer, "you both must be long lost brothers, cold blooded twins".

*Flashback over*

Keifer's POV

We didn't know Rio would turn out to be our lost friend Alex, whose sudden transfer into other province broke our group, Yuri & Percy drifted away from me & Aries. And he returned into our life through Jay- Jay.

Jay's sleep wrestling started again, she threw a pillow on my face & then her kick on my shoulder, "just tell me, you're avenging over me for leaving you, right?". She turned over and her lace loosened, "shit.. stop it Jay", I took the blanket and wrapped her in completely just her face was open.

Her lips parted away, light smile around lips and closed beautiful eyes, her eyelashes were shining, hairs swaying with the air coming from the window, "and here Keifer Watson is downbad". I kissed her forehead slightly, and moved towards her lips, "I want to taste you again so much but I know I can't, I've lost this". And I don't know when I fell asleep, keeping my head on her bed.

My eyes opened up with the rising sun, the light was entering through the pores of the curtains, and it's truly a happy morning for me after a long, she's the first person I saw her. I don't mind losing everything if I'm gonna wake up to this every morning.

Her hands moved, she removed the blanket and partially opened her eyes and stretched her arms, I immediately went under the bed, hiding myself, "ahh, my head is spinning". Of course it'll, you drunkard and how well you made my head spin as well.

She gets down the bed, "I got drunk last night, that Keifer is to blame". Well, really, you'd have to give me the answers properly, and it's you flying Barakuda who kept drinking after the game as well.

"But why am I in bathrobe", I can hear her confused voice, just don't ask Ms Mariano, just don't. My head, I remember a bit , he carried me, Ben was, he was not. Keifer was there, ahhh.. I'm not able to remember". So girl just don't.

Jay sat on bed, held her head, "why I'm getting flashes like me and Keifer were in washroom, I kissed him... he's sitting here", she shook her head, "no... just a dream". She started roaming in room, "I know that Keifer is a jerk".

I was really disheartened, do you really think I can take advantage of your such situations, well don't you have that much trust in me Jay?. I heard her admitting, "he's a jerk but I know he can't do anything wrong to me, he didn't even kiss me without asking me".

I took a breath of relief, thank God she trusts me. She was still restless, looking at her bathrobe, "but was he really sitting by my side at night? Let me check", she moves out.

Is she going to check on me in my room, I came out & ran towards the balcony, jumped off into mine like a monkey,  and got on the bed before she came. I'm literally plating hide & seek with her. She knocked on the door.

I didn't respond, and heard the click of door, she came inside the room. I covered myself from head to toe, "he's sleeping here, it must be my dream only". I can hear her footsteps approaching me, I clenched tightly on quilt.

And a phone notification, damn it's Jay's phone with me, "is it my phone", she looked around, "but here buzzing in his room", no sweetheart just think holistically, it can be mine as well, "maybe he also has a same ring".

She moves towards my bed, "who's messaging him this early?", her eyes looked for my mobile, it's lying on study table, a little far from me, she approached it, she can't see see my phone. I rushed and grabbed my phone from table, it's little far and instead of getting off bed I just walked over my hands to take it, making me half lying on bed.

She saw me with a disgusting expression, "I was not gonna steal it, oh must bw hiding message from girlfriends". She turned, "well, keep sleeping, I'm going to use the restroom" and she left.

I have to hurry and keep her phone in her room, and once again I jumped off the balcony, kept her phone in bed and ran but shit she came inside the room, I hid behind the curtains.

She opened her wardrobe, "what should I wear", Keifie pulled my trouser, "shh", i tried to shoo it away. Ahh, she can't find me here, and if she did what will I explain and not at all she can know about the ruckus of last night.

She turned, "who is it?", she looked around, I hid myself well, "oh Keifie", she came closer, no please don't and her phone buzzed again.

"Ci-N must have told you about his arrival next week, I'll also come next month", she read the message from Aries, "fuck, they're coming here , Ci-N and Aries". Fucking hell, they're coming here, they'll find about me then.
