The party

Shasha opened the backyard door and went down the steps and to her surprise everyone was there! "Surprise!" said everyone at once. "Happy Belated Birthday!"Shasha was so startled that she fell over. Everyone was there. There were more people too. Alisa, Robot Alisa, Jun, Amber, Xiaoyu, Panda, Asuka and Lili were all there too. There was a large birthday cake in the middle of the backyard near the pool. "Huh?" said Shasha confused. "When did you guys get here? No wonder there were many cars outside near the other chalets.""Oh so you actually saw them," said Xiaoyu. "Anyway, Happy Belated Birthday! We organised this party for you!""And left me in the pitch dark with no electricity," said Shasha with a laugh. "I still don't get how you switched it off exactly when I left the room.""We waited for you to step out of the room before shutting the power," said Steve. "Mom and I switched it off and quickly ran to the back.""How did the four of you manage to change your outfits so fast?" asked Shasha. "Did you do speed dressing or something?""Well you took a very long bath that we actually managed to shower in the other bathrooms and change quickly," said Nina. "You've been in there for more than an hour.""Oh yeah I was enjoying the nice jacuzzi," said Shasha. "It was so relaxing that I couldn't leave the tub.""Yeah I understand," said Xiaoyu. "It feels really good to be in a jacuzzi.""I was upset that I couldn't celebrate with mommy but you guys fixed it," said Shasha. "And it's amazing how I get to celebrate with all of you too!""Here go put this dress on," said Sugie. "We'll switch the electricity back on.""Okay I will," said Shasha while taking the bag with the dress from her mother. "Wow what a pretty dress!"She went back to the room and changed into the dress. It was a pretty pink frilly dress. It looked amazing. There were accessories in there too so she wore them. It was a pink bow headband and a nice necklace with a pink pendant in the centre. "It's so pretty," said Shasha to herself while looking at herself in the mirror. "Wonder when they bought them."She went back to the backyard and they sang her Happy Birthday. She cut the huge chocolate cake after blowing all eighteen candles on the cake. They saved the cake for dessert and decided to have the barbecue first. It was good. There were many pits and they all did it together. Shasha cooked it with her mother and Anna. It was really tasty. Everyone had marinated the meat earlier and the chicken steak was very flavourful. They ate the tasty and rich chocolate cake in the end. There were cold drinks served too."This is the best birthday ever!" said Shasha. "Although it's not even my birthday actually.""I vote we all should have an intense game of old maid," said Shasha. "It would be lots of fun since each of us will only receive three cards.""Okay come on," said Shasha's mother. "I brought the deck with me.""Okay let's play," said Anna. "I'm pretty sure Nina's gonna be the old maid.""Yeah right," said Nina. "Wait till it lands in your pile of cards."They all sat around in the living room on the ground in a circle. Shasha distributed the cards and each person got three cards except for Panda of course, since she wasn't playing.They played and it was a very long game. Asuka took a card from Lili and the surprised look on her face and the giggling Lili was a dead giveaway that Asuka had just received the old maid card from Lili. It was Jun's turn to take a card from Asuka and she got it this time. It was passed to Amber and then to Nina, then to Steve, to Anna, to Shasha, to Sugie, to Xiaoyu, to Alisa, followed by her human counterpart, then back to Lili. Most of them had already gotten a pair and Asuka only had two cards left. One was an old maid and the other wasn't. She was taking a card from Lili's hand of cards, praying that it wasn't the old maid and that she wouldn't lose. But to her dismay, she got the old maid. She handed her cards to Jun for her to pick and was even more dismayed when she took the other card and not one of the old maid cards. She tried to keep silent and not tell anyone about it but Lili saw it and announced it."Asuka has only two cards left," said Lili. "And it's the old maids haha."They all started laughing and Asuka began to laugh too. It was a fun game and they all enjoyed it. It was very funny too since they had a good laugh till their throats were sore and their stomachs were aching. "Oh my gosh," said Shasha. "I can't.""It's getting rather late," said Jun. "I think we should return to our chalet.""Yeah we should," said Xiaoyu. "I have to feed Panda her bamboo."They all returned to their chalets. They had booked two other chalets. Alisa, robot Alisa, Xiaoyu and Panda stayed in one chalet while Jun, Amber, Lili and Asuka stayed in the other. They were going for a group trip the next day for a beach picnic. It was fun and relaxing to be on this holiday. Shasha shared a bedroom with her mom while Anna shared with Nina and Steve slept alone. The rooms were huge and comfortable. There was an attached bathroom in each bedroom too. The kitchen was amazing, the bathrooms had a bathtub and a shower and there was also an arcade, a spa and a sauna in the resort."I say we hit the arcade tomorrow," said Shasha to her mother. "It's special to play in an arcade even if we own a home console.""Yeah it is," said her mother. "It's just more fun. They give you the feels."They slept peacefully that night. The beds and pillows were super comfortable. The room was cold too because of the air conditioner. They slept with comforters to keep warm and cozy. There were also hotel toiletries provided. They smelled nice unlike the previous hotels Shasha had been to. There was lotion, shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, shower gel, and much more. "This is the best hotel I've been to," said Shasha to herself before sleeping. "I will forever remember this vacation in Japan. We should have lots fun of fun tomorrow."
