Holiday nightmare in Yakushima

The next day, they all left for Yakushima in a Zaibatsu helicopter since it was easier. The helicopter would come back for them when there were returning. They rented a car to the resort. Shasha kept trying to call her mother but no one picked up."Seriously what happened?" asked Shasha. "Why is the phone out of service? I know perfectly well that her phone's not out of service."She kept trying but to no avail."Relax Shasha," said Nina. "I'm sure everything is perfectly fine. Maybe it's because you're trying to make an overseas call and that's why the line's not clear?""I don't know," said Shasha. "Maybe that's why."She still didn't feel comfortable. She was the kind to overthink things."Okay now," said Nina. "We're here. Now let's go unpack our things and make ourselves at home.""Wait aren't we supposed to check in and get the keys from the lobby first?" asked Shasha. "We can't just barge into the chalet, right?""Yeah the guards have already prepared and unlocked the chalet for us," said Anna. "I Uh we just have to go in.""Okay then," said Shasha. "So that's why you didn't pick up your phone and what not?""Yes that's why," said Shasha's mother. "I came here yesterday. I saw the tournament too. I took some videos and sent it to our family. By the way congratulations!""Thank you," said Shasha. "How come I didn't see you at the tournament?""I sat at the back," said Shasha's mom. "I didn't want you to know I was there.""But why?" asked Shasha. "I would have been very happy.""Yeah but I wanted it to be a surprise," said her mom. "There's the fruit garden, we missed the turtle egg hatching, then there's the beach and the forest.""We can have a picnic on the beach," said Steve. "It would be fun. And I have never had a picnic with my mom and aunt.""Okay then let's," said Shasha's mom. "We'll cook something on the chalet stove.""I've got a better idea," said Shasha. "How about a barbecue by the pool? It would be fun!""Hmm we do it tomorrow," said Shasha's mom. "Now you go take a shower first.""By the way, what shall I call you?" asked Nina to Shasha's mom. "It's almost night!"She went to the bathroom in the hotel to take a nice hot bath in the jacuzzi bathtub after the long day of traveling."Aaah I hope this vacation lasts forever," thought Shasha. "Too bad it can't. But I have to enjoy it while it lasts. Wish I had a jacuzzi back at home."She finished taking a bath and wore a pink t-shirt and black leggings. She went out of the room and the total house was in darkness. "Where did everyone go?" asked Shasha to herself. She tried the switch but found that there was no electricity. "Huh? But the room was fine..."She took out her phone and switched on the torch app. No one was there! She called out their names but there was no answer."Mommy? Nina? Anna?" called out Shasha. "Where is everybody?"She decided to check the other rooms and they were all empty. She went to the living room and found that empty too."Maybe they have gone to take in the baggage?" thought Shasha and went to the entrance. It was not far from where she was. She opened it only to find silence and darkness. Their rented car was missing too!"Gosh what's this? Am I trapped in a nightmare? Did I fall asleep in the jacuzzi? Did we even come to Yakushima? Am I in another dimension or something?" She then got an idea."Where's that fuse box?" she thought to herself. "Either the whole resort is blacked out or there's a loose wire in our chalet." She walked out a bit more and looked around the other chalets. It was all in darkness. There were a lot of cars parked outside. "I should call the electricity company," thought Shasha. "What's the number..."But unfortunately, there was no signal. She couldn't call anyone. There was no mobile data too so she couldn't use the internet. "This must be a nightmare," Shasha confirmed to herself. "I should check the pool one last time just to make sure."She stumbled towards the pool door and opened it.
