___________

Rain fell like punishment. Cold, sharp, and endless.

He stood in the ruins of the warehouse, breathing heavy, blood dripping from his knuckles. Around him lay the men he once trusted — allies who had turned their blades on him when power whispered louder than loyalty.

"Why...?" he muttered, staggering forward. "We built everything together..."

No one answered. Not that it mattered. He already knew the truth.

Geomeun Son

A mafia group that Hyunwoo Kim built alongside with his so called friends. It's the company that Hyunwoo has a passion for.

But now, its burned to ashes alongside the company itself.

He dropped to his knees, vision fading. His body screamed with pain, but inside... there was only one ache that mattered.

"I never said goodbye to them."

His mother's smile.

His father's hand on his shoulder.

His little sister's voice, calling him home for dinner.

"All gone. Because I was too busy chasing pride."

"I'm... sorry," he whispered to the dark, as his strength finally gave way.

He didn't regret dying.

He regretted what he hadn't done while he was alive.

_______________

A boy opened up his eyes, gasping for air.

He look at his surroundings breath heavy and unsure.

This is not the warehouse, and he wasn't bleeding.

He turn his head toward his hands, eyes widened as his hand shook.

"Whose little hand is this."

He touch his throat almost immediately after talking. He realized that his voice also change to a little kid.

This unknown place, no matter where he look at, it's look like a normal bedroom, with a bunch of toys and kids drawing.

Hyunwoo put his palm on his forehead, massaging it gently.

'What is this? Reincarnation? Transmigration?'

He remembered about all novels and comic books he read before, a cliche story where the main character being reincarnated after his death.

Don't tell me that I'm also experiencing the same thing?!!

This feels too real to be called a dream. Even if he really got reincarnated, why him?

CREAK

Just then, his door opened from outside, a boy who looked like his age get inside with a bowl of cereal on his hand, he turn his head toward Hyunwoo.

"You awake? Here, mom made this for you, even though I eat half of it"

The boy said with a cheeky smile. Hyunwoo in return just stared at him, his mind race as he somehow recognize the face of the person.

However, he doesn't know where.

"....Who?"

The kid in return raised one of his eyebrows in wonder."

"...Did you still dreaming, or are you gonna prank me again??"

He said as he put tray on his hand on the table.

"Well, if this one of your prank scheme, should I follow along. It's me, Jake Kim, did you not remember your own twin brother?!!"

Jake put his hand on his chest while his face trying to act shocked, however what Hyunwoo see just a kid with a stupid expression instead.

This kid really suck at acting.

"How is it? Satisfied?"

Hyunwoo just quiet for a moment, before he nod his head.

"Kinda work, maybe need to improve on acting."

"Yeah, yeah thanks for the feedback, director."

Jake said sarcastically, before went to the door.

"Anyway, go get ready, today is the day father's coming."

The door closed shut after that, Hyunwoo sigh loudly, he put his palm on his face as he silently cursed himself.

'That's why I recognize his face, and his name is the proof to it"

Jake Kim, future leader of a crew called Big Deal, son of the legendary figure that been called the Legendary Fist, Gabryoung Kim.

All of that is the information Hyunwoo got from a webtoon called Lookism.

Which means, the place he got reincarnated to, is a Fictional World, and to make it more interesting, is he get reincarnated as twin brother of one of the protagonist of the series.

"How the heck, Why me?"

......

Silent, no answer can be heard, not like he expected it or anything.

Hyunwoo Kim, aside from his family name, nothing changes.

He clenched his small hands — still a child's hands. Still foreign. He was no longer just a reader of the story. He was inside it.

"Jake's twin, huh... That was never in the original story."

A new variable. An anomaly. Was that a blessing... or a death flag?

"Great. Just great."He sighed, falling back into the mattress.

Hyunwoo stared at the ceiling, the quiet hum of reality sinking in.

Jake Kim.Gabryoung Kim.Big Deal. Workers. Gun. Daniel Park.

Everything felt too real, but the names were like glowing signposts from his old life — warning him:"You know how this story goes. You also know how bad it can get."

He sat up slowly, arms resting on his knees.

"Okay... Think. I'm just a side piece. I wasn't in the original. No records. No panel time. That means I'm free to move... but also disposable."

That realization stung a little, but he knew it was the truth.

If he acted recklessly, if he tried to interfere with the plot too early...he could draw attention from the wrong people.People with fists like weapons and egos like grenades.

He exhaled deeply, then nodded to himself.

"Play it safe. Low profile. Blend in. Learn everything I can before the story really starts."

"But first..." Hyunwoo muttered to himself as he stood up, brushing the wrinkles off his clothes.

"Jake said earlier... our father will be here."

Gabryoung Kim.

Just thinking the name made Hyunwoo's chest tighten. Not out of fear — but out of pressure. In the Lookism world, Gabryoung was a monster. A walking legend. The man who once made even the strongest hesitate. And now... he was Hyunwoo's father?

He wasn't sure what Gabryoung wanted with both of them . A father-son moment? A test? Training?

Or maybe just breakfast.

"Whatever it is," he whispered, glancing at the picture of family on the wall,

"maybe... he can make me stronger."

He didn't need to become a main character. He just needed to be strong enough to survive in this world. To protect himself.

He headed toward the door, footsteps light.

No grand declarations. No cheat powers.

Just a kid with future knowledge... and a chance to grow in the shadow of a legend.

"Play it safe," he reminded himself once more."But prepare, just in case fate decides to throw a punch."
