Hyunwoo stood in front of the bathroom mirror, a towel over his shoulder. Steam clung to the edges of the glass as he wiped it with his small hand, revealing a reflection he still wasn't used to.

"Still weird seeing someone else's face looking back at me..."He ran his fingers through his damp black hair, staring into his own unfamiliar eyes.

It wasn't his face. Not the one from his old world. But now... it was Hyunwoo Kim's.

Back in the bedroom, the scent of something savory lingered in the air. On the desk sat a bowl with a Cereal— Jake's leftovers, obviously .

"Guess he was thoughtful enough to leave me something..."Hyunwoo sat down and quietly finished the food. It wasn't much, but enough to fill the silence in his stomach.

With a small sigh, he stood, adjusted his shirt, and slowly opened the bedroom door.

Sunlight spilled into the hallway. The house felt lived-in — not pristine, but warm. Worn floorboards. Hanging pictures. The distant clatter of dishes from the kitchen.

Then he saw them.

At the end of the hallway, near the dining table, stood Jake — his supposed twin.He was smiling, talking about something, animated with his hands. And beside him was a woman — tall, calm, and kind-eyed.

Their mother.

She looked up first. Her gaze landed on Hyunwoo and immediately softened.

"Ah, Hyunwoo. You're awake."

Her voice was warm. Familiar. Natural.Too natural. It look different than what he sees i. the webtoon, probably because this person do not have enough screen time.

Jake turned too, grinning.

"Finally! You're always the last one up, lazybones."

Hyunwoo opened his mouth, unsure what to say.His chest felt tight — not out of fear, but something stranger. This was a family... but not his.

Still, he forced a faint smile.

"Yeah... I'm up now."

And with that, he stepped forward into the morning light — into a life that technically wasn't his...but might become one daylight

Just as Hyunwoo was about to step into the living room, the sound of a car engine rolled in through the open window. A heavy, expensive kind of engine — the kind that didn't belong in this quiet neighborhood.

He froze.

The engine stopped. Doors opened. Footsteps — several — hit the gravel driveway outside the house.

Jake peeked past the curtain as he click his tongue.

"Tch. That Old Man is here."

Hyunwoo followed slowly, tension creeping into his chest. He stepped to the window, pulled the curtain back—

And his breath caught.

A black, high-end car sat in front of the house. Standing beside it...

Gabryoung Kim.

Massive. Towering. Wearing a thick black coat, sleeves rolled up just enough to show his scarred forearms. His face was old and weathered, like it had seen every kind of fight and never flinched once. His presence alone bent the air around him.

Hyunwoo didn't need any dialogue. That was their father.

But next to him, stepping out from the other side, was another bulk man, bigger than his father.Built like a wrecking ball, with a silent, serious face and a bald Hair.

Baekho Kwon.

Hyunwoo's throat dried.

The Sword of Gabryoung Kim.A name that he only heard, but this time he meet the said monster for the first time.

And behind Baekho, hopping out casually while chewing candy, was a smaller boy — maybe around 10, with a sharp face and mean eyes. He scanned the house like he owned it.

Jerry Kwon.Baekho's son.

'What the hell happened here?'

Gabryoung stepped through the front gate, his presence filling the space with quiet weight. Beside him, Baekho and Jerry walked in silence — Baekho like a shadow, Jerry with a smirk like he owned the air he breathed.

Jake stood near the doorway, arms crossed. He didn't move. No excitement. No "Dad!" like Hyunwoo had expected for a normal kid, but yeah, it's not like he expected Jake to like their father.

Gabryoung slowed as he approached. His gaze shifted to Jake — hopeful, for a moment.

"You're growing fast."His tone was soft, almost proud.

Jake didn't smile."Tch. That's what people do, old man."

Gabryoung's hand, half-raised to ruffle Jake's hair, stopped mid-air.

Hyunwoo noticed it. That tiny flicker of something in Gabryoung's eyes — regret, maybe? He lowered his hand slowly, but said nothing more.

Jake turned away and walked toward the kitchen, pretending not to care.

Baekho glanced briefly at the scene, unreadable. Jerry just popped another candy into his mouth.

Gabryoung let out a quiet sigh — not dramatic, not pitiful. Just a tired man who didn't know how to reach his son.

Then he looked to Hyunwoo.

And just like that, his expression softened again.

"Hyunwoo, right?"

Hyunwoo nodded slowly."Yeah."

Gabryoung crouched slightly, leveling his gaze with him. A little hesitant now — maybe unsure if this son would reject him too.

"You feeling okay? Slept well?"

Hyunwoo blinked. The way Gabryoung spoke — it wasn't what he'd expected from a fighter wrapped in legend. There was no sharpness. Just sincerity.

"I'm... yeah, I'm good."

Gabryoung smiled gently and placed a hand on Hyunwoo's shoulder.

"That's all I want to hear."

It wasn't much. But it was something. Something real.

As the morning light filtered through the open door, Hyunwoo glanced back toward Jake, who was now leaning on the kitchen counter, arms still crossed, back turned.

And for the first time, Hyunwoo realized:This family wasn't broken. But it was cracked.

And now, somehow...he was caught between the father who wanted to protect —and the son who no longer wanted to be protected.

In the webtoon, Hyunwoo didn't really care about this conflict as the Gabryoung Kim is alread dead at the current plot, but now after experiencing it himself, he somehow know how mess up this family is.

"What are you doing here, Father?"

Hyunwoo voice can be heard with a confusion.

Gabryoung smiled gently — not the kind of smile used to hide anger, but one that tried to hold back years of distance.

"I want to introduce both of you to someone."

His eyes shifted — toward the boy leaning against the car with a candy stick hanging lazily from his mouth.

The kid barely glanced their way, expression smug, gaze dripping with arrogance. It was clear: this wasn't the Jerry Kwon from the webtoon yet.But even now, Hyunwoo could see it — the foundation of a monster in the making. Not yet the "Sword" of Jake Kim... but definitely sharpening.

Gabryoung gestured toward the door.

"Before that, could you call for Jake?"

Hyunwoo hesitated a second, glanced at the kitchen, and nodded.

"Sure."
