Chapter 7

11:14, 1 August 2017

With a smile I took his hand. "My pleasure."

Gisborne started to sway side to side. He put his right hand on my waist and in his left he held my hand. His dancing was sweet. Our bodies were tight together as they moved with each other. Guy's right hand moved to the middle of my back while his left hand moved to the back of my head. Before I knew what was happening he leaned me back. I was parallel to the ground. Guy leaned in closer. He stopped to look into my eyes. Then he leaned in all the way. His soft lips met mine. My hand, that was on his neck, gripped his shirt tightly.

The kiss felt natural. Like it was meant to be. I could tell that he didn't want to end it and to be honest, neither did I.

Finally he broke the kiss. Guy still held me tight. A sly smile appeared on his beautiful face but quickly disappeared like a little boy that did something wrong. He sat me to my feet and let my body go. Guy turned away to sit back down on the blanket.

I followed like a lost puppy. "Is something bothering your mind, Sir Guy?" I questioned nervously, thinking that I did something wrong.

He looked down towards his feet with sad eyes. "Lady Sirena, you are a perfect woman and yet you are here with me."

I hiked up my dress and sat on his lap. Then I reached over and picked a daisy. "Did you forget that I wanted to be here?" My hands made their way to the back of his neck. "Did Marian never tell you she wanted to be here?" I inquired as I tucked a stray hair behind his ear.

"I tried to give her everything I had. She spat it back in my face." He explained.  His voice sounded hurt as he thought of the past.

Gazing at the daisy in my hand I ignored his past feelings for Marian. "I guess she can't see what a great man you are." I placed the daisy behind his left ear. "If you gave me a dead rat on a stick and said it was all you can give, I would treasure it forever."

Gisborne smiled sweetly. "It's late, My Lady. We should head back."

I dropped my head in disappointment. I slide off his lap and started to pack up the left over food. Guy went to untie the horses.

I'm starting to think that Guy will never get over Marian.

As we rode back, a large bubble of silence followed. The stable boy took our horses when we reached the castle. Walking inside, the bubble of silence followed until we reached my chamber doors.

I was facing my door when his name slipped out of my mouth. "Sir Guy." I knew I had to proceed my thought. "Did I say anything that may have upset you today? And if I did..." I turned to face Guy who no emotion. "I'm sorry." I told him.

"What makes you think that?" When I didn't reply Guy took his finger and lifted my chin. "You did nothing wrong." Gisborne kissed my cheek and left.
