Chapter 6

"Where are you taking me?" I shouted to Guy over the noise of the horses. "We are almost there. Just a little farther." Gisborne shouted back. We had taken the main road through Sherwood forest. When was got to a three way in the road, Guy went through the trees. After a short while, we got off the horses and tied them to a tree. As I tied my horse, Guy took the pack of food and drink and waited for me. I was beginning to question until we hit a clearing. It was a meadow surrounded by trees. There were daises and red and blue little flowers that scattered every where in the long grass. "Oh Guy, it's beautiful!" I gasped. I started to twirl and dance around in the meadow. Guy set up a blanket under a tree in the shade. "Are you hungry?" He asked as I ran over to him. "Heavens yes!" I breathed as I took a big bite of fresh bread. Gisborne poured some wine for both of us. We were sitting in a meadow, eating and drinking but not talking.Guy picked up his cup of wine and pressed it to his lips. " My mother used to bring my sister and I here when I was younger." He says before taking a drink. "Sounds like it was lovely." "It was years after my father was killed. Mother got remarried. When that happened my mother and sister weren't family anymore. Later she gave birth to another boy and I was kicked out of the house." I placed my hand on Gisborne's knee. "I'm sorry.""It's Okay."I retrieved my hand only to look at it as it sat on my lap. "And Marian?" "Marian is dead to me." Guy angrily spat. I placed my hands on his shoulders. Slowly I slid them across the back of his neck to the opposite shoulder. "You got me now." I said sweetly, giving him a hug. Suddenly, Guy stands up and offers his hand to me. "Care to dance?"
