Aisha moved onto the mat, Johnny told Miguel to get onto the mat. Miguel did what he was told before thinking. Jules stood next to Johnny, she smiled and silently cheered for Aisha.

"Ok, let's see what you got, Ms. Robinson." Johnny said. "Face me, bow."

Miguel and Aisha faced Johnny and bowed before he told them to bow to each other. He looked at Miguel. "Mr. Diaz, show her everything you've learned."

Miguel realized then what was happening. "Wait, wait. I don't think this is right Sensei."

"You don't think what is right?" Johnny asked

"She's a girl, I'm not gonna-why don't you get Jules to fight her?" Miguel said in a whisper. Johnny answered back. "And? I thought you said women were equal to men."

"I did say that. I didn't mean it like that. I meant-" Miguel tried to explain but Jules just laughed. "I think Miguel's scared. You got beat up by a girl once and you're scared it's gonna happen again."

Miguel stuttered out. "I'm not scared. It's just-"

"Then show her women are equal and give her everything you got." Johnny pointed to the other girl on the mat

Jules added. "Come on Miguel, don't be a pussy."

"Wait. I just wanna remind everyone this is my first day." Aisha said and Johnny was becoming annoyed, he snapped at her. "Your enemies don't care what day it is. They prey on weakness. If you wanna beat them, you gotta conquer your fears and jump face-first into the fire. Are you ready, Ms. Robinson?"

"I guess."

"Mr. Diaz?"

"Uh..."

Before Miguel could say anything, Johnny yelled out. "Fight!"

The two just stood there, Aisha looked scared and Miguel didn't want to do anything. Jules and Johnny looked at each other confusedly.

"Don't just stand there. Fight!"

Miguel finally moved, pulling his leg back into a fighting position. "I'm sorry."

He moved forward and kicked Aisha, sending the girl flying back and into the mat. Miguel immediately started apologizing.

"Oh my God! Aisha, are you okay?" Miguel said as he rushed forward. "I'm so sorry."

Aisha slowly rolled onto her side and stood up. Before she stood up all the way, Aisha tackled Miguel and threw him to the floor. Jules hissed and looked away as Aisha jumped on the boy, kneeing Miguel in the stomach.

"My ribs." Miguel wheezed, Jules looked back to see Aisha standing over the boy as Miguel writhed in pain

Johnny let out a chuckle, "girl's a natural Cobra."

Aisha and Jules looked as each other and Jules gave her a thumbs up. Just then, there was an argument outside. That pulled Johnny's attention away from his students.

"All right. Students, wait here." He said and looked at Aisha before pointing to Jules. "Barron, you're in charge."

"Yes sir." She said and saluted him

Johnny turned and walked out of the door, Jules smiled and walked up to Aisha.

"See I told you." Jules playfully punched her shoulder. "I knew he would let you in."

"My ribs." Miguel wheezed again and the two girls looked over at him. Jules moved towards him and helped Miguel up, she reached out to touch his side but the boy winced at the slightest touch.

Jules hissed. "You got him pretty good."

"Yeah, sorry Miguel." Aisha apologized but Miguel shook his head and gave a thumbs up. "He said to give it your all."

Aisha smiled at Miguel's comment, Miguel pressed his hand against his side and leaned onto Jules who wrapped his arm around her shoulders. She groaned at his weight but smiled at Aisha.

"Let me go take care of him." Jules paused for a second. "Welcome to the family Aisha."

Aisha truly felt like it was her family. Maybe, just maybe, she would get friends from this. Jules and Miguel turned and started heading towards the office.

"Oh my god Miguel, you're so heavy." Jules groaned as she basically pulled Miguel forward. All the boy could respond with was a forced voice, he said the same thing over and over again. "My ribs."

"How's your ribs doing?" Jules asked as she walked up to Miguel

The boy quickly turned around but smiled at her. He laughed and hissed as he placed his hand on his side.

"Well let's just say that Aisha didn't go easy on me." Miguel answered

Jules laughed, "yeah no shit, she knocked the wind out of you and then beat you up. You gotta stop picking fights with women."

Jules hiked her backpack on her shoulders, as Miguel laughed. They stood by the lockers as everyone else passed by them, Jules watched as Sam walked past them. Miguel's eyes locked with the girls and it was almost like he was in a trance, Jules felt awkward standing there watching her best friend ogle at her ex-best friend. Sam smiled and waved at the boy before she looked away.

"Really... Sam?" Jules asked as the boy came back to reality. "Sam's the one you have a crush on."

Miguel rolled his eyes, "shut up Jules."

She just laughed and hit his arm. "I'm just joking with you. I'll see you at lunch."

Jules laughed as she walked down the hall. Jules wasn't joking, she had no idea why Miguel liked Sam in the first place but Miguel was her one true friend. Lunch came by fast but as Jules walked into the cafeteria, she didn't see Miguel anywhere. Her eyes scanned the room and she saw the popular girls with no Sam, as well as Aisha sitting by herself. Jules also saw no Eli or Demetri, and so she changed her course and sat next to Aisha.

"Hey, how's it going." Jules said and Aisha smiled. "Actually pretty good, how's Miguel. I feel bad."

Jules shook her head. "He's fine, healing. It's not like he hasn't taken some hits."

Aisha let out a breath. "I'm glad. I was worried I really hurt him."

Just then, Aisha looked up and almost glared at something. Jules followed her gaze and saw Sam, she glared at the girl too. She had heard what Sam had done.

"Oh, don't even think about it." Aisha shook her head as Sam put her stuff down.

Sam replied. "Come on. I need a place to sit."

Aisha looked over, "you can go sit with Kyler. I heard he doesn't mind that you suck."

Sam glared at Aisha, Jules could feel that the bond they had was slowly melting away. She covered her mouth trying not to laugh but it was true. Sam just sighed and picked up her things, stomping away from the tables.

"The only thing Sam is good at is blowing things. Relationships....people." Jules replied and Aisha laughed

Suddenly the girls stopped, Aisha looked down at her food. Immediately she felt bad for Sam, she was her best friend and now Aisha was treated Sam like how Sam had treated her. Jules looked confusedly at the girl, she reached her hand out.

"Aisha, you okay?"

"I feel bad."

All of the sudden, Jules looked up and saw Sam talking to Kyler. She was sure it was about the rumor, people started laughing and Sam pushed a tray off the table. Aisha looked at Jules.

"Go help her." She whispered

Jules shook her head. "Why?"

"This is your chance, to do something, to show that your karate lessons aren't for nothing." Aisha said

"Hey guys, you know that billboard with the big-ass dick on it? I guess Sam takes after her dad." Kids started laughing at Kyler's words. Jules rolled her eyes and stood up. "Like Sam would even like your dick!"

Kyler looked past Sam at Jules, the girl also looked back but glared at her. Jules just continued forward, dragging her feet.

"What did you say Julie?" Kyler hissed out and Jules clenched her jaw, it was Jules.

"I would say that your dick is bigger than your brain, but that's not much of a step up." Kyler's face went red as he clenched his fists. "You bitch."

He went to move but someone caught his attention. "Hey Kyler!" Miguel called and walked up to him. "Why don't you shut the hell up and stop being such an asshole."

"Want another beat down, 'Rhea?" Kyler turned to face Miguel. Jules slowly walked up, joining Miguel. Kyler pushed the boy back. "I'm ready for your lame-ass karate this time."

Miguel got pushed back again, he hit the table Aisha was sitting at. "It's not lame-ass karate."

Kyler then tried to throw a punch but Miguel blocked it. Jules had a smile on her face as he replied. "It's Cobra Kai."

Miguel punched the bully in the face. Kyler stumbled back. Kyler ran forward and tackled Miguel into a lunch table before throwing him into another one, one of Kyler's goons looked at Jules. He let out a yell and ran forward, Jules dodged his attack and set a kick into his chest. That ended the fight for a bit as Kyler held Miguel in a headlock, quickly the boy elbowed Kyler and twisted his arm.

Jules quickly looked to the side to see one of Kyler's goons coming after her again. The girl threw a punch towards him, but the boy dodged and threw one toward Jules's face. Jules stumbled back but continued attacking, she threw left hook after right hook as well as kick after kick. She twisted on of the guy's arms and kicked him to the ground, the boy rolled and got right back up.

"No mercy!" Aisha yelled as the continued fighting but nothing seemed to drop the guys until Jules had an idea.

Jules dropped to the floor and swept one of the guys, he groaned as he hit the floor. The girl looked over and watched as Miguel took out two. Miguel looked back at her and nodded, a smirk crept onto her face. They ran forward, Miguel rolled over the table grabbing a tray as Jules jumped over it. They turned so their backs were facing each other waiting as the bullies raced up to them.

Jules got into her fighting pose and sent a front kick into a guy pushing him back. He raced back up to her, Jules ducked and turned on her knees so that when she popped back up she could elbow him in the stomach. The guy doubled over in pain, and Jules turned back around to face him taking his face in her hands and kneeing him. She watched as he went down for the count, Miguel turned to see Kyler and he ran and jumped onto the table. Jules stood next to him, sitting on the table as one of the bullies tried to stand up, he looked up just in time to see Jules's food collide with his face.

Miguel hit Kyler one last time with his tray, and they looked around seeing if any of the bully's were going to get up. When it seemed safe, Miguel and Jules turned to each other. They laughed and smiled, doing their secret handshake before hearing people cheering for them. Miguel stood up and saw Sam smiling at him, Jules saw Sam glare over at her but she didn't care. She was loving the attention she was getting, and it was because of her not her mother.

"Get down from there right now!" A teacher hissed. "You two are in trouble."

She grabbed their arms and pulled them away. Jules couldn't care about how much trouble she was about to get into.
