Chapter 6

03:16, 2 July 2018

The cab driver dropped you guys off a block away from the hotel because traffic was horrendous. He helped you get your luggage out of the trunk and then Maggie paid him.

You started walking to the direction of where the hotel was and it was not hard to miss. Your name was on a huge banner along with the other event's TV show's title (pictured above).

"I'm guessing that this is the hotel." Maggie teased, finally catching up to you.

"I hope so." you teased back.

Maggie opened the towering main doors that led into a gorgeous lobby. You could see the sky up on the ceiling and it was a magnificent view.

"You must be Jane Edwards." a short woman dressed in a pencil skirt and a cute blouse came up to you and Maggie, breaking your trance.

"Yes. And you are?" you asked.

"I'm sorry. My name is Vivian, but you can call me Viv. I'm in charge of the events this weekend." she answers.

"Of course. We talked on the phone yesterday." Maggie joined in.

"That was me!" Viv said. "Well, welcome to our hotel! I'll grab some bellhops to help you with the luggage and then I'll show you to your rooms."

"Perfect!" Maggie says as Viv leaves and comes back with two men.

"You guys have the suites which are on the top floor, so if you would please follow me to the elevator, I can get you guys settled in no time." she says and starts walking to an elevator.

You listen to the cliche elevator music, tapping your foot to the rhythm. When you finally reach the top floor, Viv leads you to the end of the hallway.

"You guys are next to each other and right across from you is Jared and Jensen from Supernatural!" Viv says, enthusiastic about the last part.

"It sounds like Viv's a fan." Maggie whispered next to you.

You smirked and said, "I didn't notice."

"Are you guys fans of the show?" Viv interrupted.

"Actually, we've never even heard of it until last week." Maggie responded.

"Yeah, but it's only on its second season right?" you asked.

"Yes and they are already planning on a third season because of how popular it's becoming! It's probably because of how hot the main characters are." Viv answered.

"Oh really?" Maggie said, intrigued.

"Yes! Every girl would be jealous to be in your position right now. Well, I'll let you guys get settled in and then escort you to dinner later tonight." Viv said as she motioned you to your rooms.

"Thanks so much!" you said to her before you opened your door.

"Anytime! My phone number should be on the contact list in your rooms if you need anything else." she said and headed towards the elevator.

"See you at dinner I guess." Maggie says, opening her door.

"Yep." you replied, doing the same.

They were not kidding about a suite! You walked through a hallway and turned right to see a kitchen. You knew you would have to use it at some point this weekend. You turned around to see a little breakfast nook and a dinner table that could feed a village, and above it was a little skylight. Your jaw was already to the floor and it was only the kitchen.

You went back to the hallway and went left to the living area. Now you almost fainted at the sight of it. Huge windows overlooked New York beautifully (pictured below). A flat-screen on top of a fireplace and a comfortable couch behind it. An adorable little bookshelf was located on the corner by the fireplace. Luckily, there were some books on it just in case you finished your other book you packed. You couldn't help but spin around joyfully and then tried to find the bedroom.

While trying to find your bedroom, you figured out that there was a pantry and a two guest bathrooms. You opened some french doors, hoping that this was the bedroom. Once you opened the vintage doors, you immediately ran and jumped on your enormous king size bed.

"I could get used to this." you said to yourself, taking a deep breath.

You had and hour to get ready for dinner tonight. Your phone buzzed on the nightstand, so you rolled over to read Maggie's text.

"Just a heads up, Viv texted me and said to dress nice for dinner. See you in an hour! By the way, the rooms are amazing!"

You laughed and walked to the bathroom.

You decided on a simple black dress with your brown winter coat because the restaurant is a block away from the hotel and it was freezing for fall weather. You hated wearing heels, so you wore black flats with an ankle strap. Your makeup was natural, but your lips were bright red. You curled your hair and pulled it up in a ponytail. Once you were making the finishing touches, Maggie texted you.

"I'm ready! Meet you out in the hallway!" you read.

You looked in the mirror one last time, grabbed your coat and then opened your door.
