Part 28

05:17, 16 April 2021

Raven POV:

I was getting ready for people to come over to hang out when I heard a knock at the door. I opened it to see Luna standing there with a big smile that made my heart beat way to fast for my liking. "Hey Luna, come in," I said, gesturing her through the door as I took in a breath to calm myself. "Hey," she said back in a cheery tone.

I walk into the kitchen to get out some snacks ready for the when the rest of the people coming over. Luna sat on top of the counter and I couldn't help but look at her in complete awe. Her hair was so perfectly curly that gave the sense like she just woke up like that and her face held so soft and warm tones that just made me melt.

I grabbed a bowl and went to get the chips to distract myself.

But the because position Luna was sitting in, I had to reach next to her to grab them. This simple action pushed our faces close together, too close, like WAY too close, as in about an inch apart. I stared into her golden eyes that shimmered and she stared back at me. Her eyes darted away from mine and to my lips. I had a mini freak out in my head and grabbed the chips and turned away and poured them in the bowl.

My cheeks were turning bright red so I turned my back to her to regain every ounce of my composure I had left.

Once I finished pouring the chips in the bowl I turned around and Luna was looking down at her feet. I opened my mouth to say something but I was stopped by a knock at the door. Thank the fucking god.

The timing could not have been better because I honestly had no clue what was going to come out of my mouth. I walked to the door and opened it. Lexa and Clarke entered.

I walked back to the kitchen where Luna was still seated on the counter but she looked up when she heard them come in. I could hear Lexa and Clarke whispering about something behind me but I ignored it and got another bowl for more chips.

This time Luna got off the counter when I went to grab another bag of chips. Good thing because I couldn't handle whatever that was again, especially in front of people. Too awkward.

"So what are we going to do today Rae?" Clarke asked. Everyone looked at me. "We can do whatever, watch a movie, play games, anything you guys want" I responded and they all nodded. Lexa and Luna were exchanging weird glares back and forth and me and Clarke looked at each other trying to understand what they were doing.

It's like they were communicating through their own language with their eyes, it was really creepy actually.

Another knock interrupted the awkward silence of the eye conversation that I felt strangely on the outside of. "Thank god" I whispered as I went to the door, dragging Clarke by the arm with me.

"What the hell was that about?" I questioned her as if she knew about what Lexa and Luna were doing. "I have no idea," she said back as we opened the door to greet more people.

Monty, Jasper, Maya, and Harper were all standing there. "Hey guys" Clarke said cheerfully and they entered the house. "Hey party people!" Jasper said as he put a bag of chips and some alcohol on the counter.

My eyes immediately shot to Luna in a panic and she looked the same before we both looked away quickly, avoiding each other's gaze. I went to grab a bowl as Luna drifted to the other side of the kitchen. I could see her eyes on me out of the corner of my eye and I tried to avoid it the best I could.

Clarke came up to me as I was pouring yet another bag of chips into a bowl. Why does everyone always bring chips?"What the hell is going on with you?" She whisper yelled to me. I eyed Luna quickly from across the room before saying "nothing" quickly. "It is not nothing Raven, what happened before Lexa and I entered?" She persisted, very interested in my answer.

"Um- Luna was sitting on the counter..." I started and her eyes shot opened immediately. "Not like that you creep" I said as I hit her on the arm and her face relaxed. "I went to grab a bag of chips that were behind her and when I grabbed them our faces were like an inch apart. And I don't know, I just panicked I guess," I said, telling her the story as I replayed it in my head.

"Oh my god Raven she was about to kiss you and you freaked out" Clarke said, a little too excited for such the wrong reason. "Shush," I said trying to quiet her down because she was talking loud enough for others to hear.

"I don't know if I'm even ready for it yet, you know, after Finn" I said, my head hanging to the floor as I stared at my nervously shuffling feet. I hated that I felt this way but I did, and I couldn't stop it. "It's ok Raven, I understand" she said, rubbing the side of my arm gently.

"I do like her, but I just don't know if I'm ready yet" I said and I could feel the tears in the back of my eyes but I pushed them away. I didn't want her to see them, I didn't want any of them to.

"You will never really know if you're ready until you do something Rae." She said and we both looked over towards Luna who was laughing about something we couldn't quite hear with Lexa.

Then the door opened and Octavia and Lincoln walked in unannounced. "Let yourself in, why don't you?" I said sarcastically at them. "Ok" Octavia said back, giving me a devilish smile. I rolled my eyes and turned to Clarke who had walked away already, leaving me alone in the kitchen. What great company.

I walked over to Lincoln because Octavia had already ditched him to go say hi to everyone else, ha, same. "How much longer until something happens?" I said pointing to Clarke who was standing way too close to Lexa then she should for claiming to 'just be friends.' "Ah, you see it too huh?" He said looking at the girls and smiling.

"Everyone sees it," I responded. It was so obvious. "I have never seen Lexa this happy, its been a long time" Lincoln said, turning to walk to Octavia. "Wait, what does that mean?" I asked, stopping him. I was now intrigued by what her meant and Lexa's past.

"I'm sorry Raven, but that is for Lexa to tell you. And I don't even really know anyways, she doesn't talk about it much," he said. That is fair. I understand that it's her and only her business I guess. "But, my guess is in the next few weeks" Lincoln said laughing, before walking away towards his girl.

I made my way over to Luna, Lexa, Clarke and Octavia who had recently joined them in conversation. "Hey O," I said, joining the group. "Hey Rae," she said hugging me. "What are you guys talking about?" I asked as I looked around at them. "Just how cute Lincoln and Octavia are" Clarke said, nudging Octavia and making her blush a whole lot.

"I don't know about cute but..." I said, faking a gag to get under her skin. "Shut up Raven you're just jealous I am happy and in a relationship" she said, turning to look back at Lincoln who caught her eye and smiled at her. After her comment my eyes, as if on command, looked to Luna without even thinking. Was Octavia right? Probably, she is painfully right most of the time.

Clarke POV:

As soon as we entered the house you could cut the sexual tension with a knife, hell even fricking baby scissors because of how sharp the tension in that room was.

Lexa and I would give each other glances here and there, whispering and nudging each other every time we saw something between them. I thought it was cute how much Lexa shipped them. It was also really cute to see Raven so freaked out after her interaction with Luna.

Lexa turned to me and said "how much longer until something happens?" Pointing to Raven and Luna after I came back from my conversation with her. "Well based on what we just talked about, any day now." I said, smiling at her.

"Wait what did she say?" Lexa said so intrigued. "Wow, Lexa Woods a gossip? I would have never thought," I said teasing her and she rolled her eyes.

"Shut up, don't act like you're not interested" she said, nudging me in the arm. "Ok fine. She said she really likes her but she didn't know if she was ready. We kind of ended the conversation as if she was going to go for it but I'm not quite sure yet. Oh and they almost kissed." I said before walking over to greet Octavia who had entered.

"Wait," Lexa said, stopping me and turning me back to face her. "They almost kissed?" She said, trying not to scream. Her eyes were wide and she was smiling way too much. "Yeah, apparently their faces and lips were like an inch away before Raven freaked out and turned away from her" I told her. Her face lit up like a Christmas tree as she turned and walked with purpose over to Luna.

Lexa POV:

After the information Clarke told me I walked over to Luna who was looking at Raven from a distance across the room. How pathetic actually.

I walked over to her and punched her in the arm lightly and said "you almost kissed Raven?" Trying not to scream. "Ow" she said, rubbing the spot I hit her. Weak, I didn't even hit her that hard.

"How did you know?" She asked and I could sense the embarrassment all over her face. "Why didn't you go for it?" I said, nudging her again and this time her cheeks flushed.

"I don't think she is ready, you didn't see her at the party Lex, she was broken when she saw him and when I did almost kiss her, she just freaked out." She said, looking at the floor. "Look we already had this conversation but you need to do something, before it's too late." I said, saying my peace and walking back over to Clarke.

Clarke POV:

I walked over to the couch where Lincoln had now settled with Octavia in his lap. Adorable, absolutely adorable. "Hey Clarkie, want to play a game?" Jasper said. He was a little drunk from what I could tell.

"What is this game?" I asked, looking around at everyone who also didn't seem to have a clue. "Get out while you can," Octavia whispered and we both chuckled.

Lexa came up behind me and sat down next to me. "Great, more players," Jasper said, pointing to her. "Oh no" Lexa said and went to get up to leave but I grabbed her hand and pulled her back. "Oh no you don't, if I have to play, you have to too." I said pulling her back next to me. She rolled her eyes but she stayed next to me and didn't try to walk away again.

Everyone had now joined us on the couch and was going to play a game. "Let's play never have I ever," Jasper said as he grabbed a bunch of drinks and put them on the table. "Ok but I'm not drinking, someone needs to be sober to take care of you children and I don't really feel like having a hangover tomorrow" Raven said, putting her hands up. "Alright, nobody is fighting you," Jasper said which made everyone laugh.

Narrator POV:

"Ok let's start easy I guess, never have I ever dated a guy" Jasper said, starting off the game. All the girls shook their heads laughing as Clarke, Raven, Luna, Octavia, Maya, and Harper all took a drink.

Lexa looked around at all the other girls awkwardly and Jasper looked at her in awe. "You never dated anyone before? How, your so hot?" Jasper asked pointing at Lexa who was the only girl who didn't take a drink. Clarke chuckled a bit next to her at what he said.

"No, I have dated, it's just that guys aren't really my thing," Lexa said, raising her eyebrows and taking a sip of her drink. I don't think she understands the point of the game but whatever. But only Jasper and Monty really seemed to be surprised by it. "Oh, I catch your drift," he said slyly like he was keeping some secret or something.

"Ok anyways, never have I ever been so drunk I passed out." Luna said. Almost everyone groaned at this one. Raven, Clarke, Jasper, Monty, Octavia, Maya, and Harper all took a sip of their drinks.

"Really?" Clarke said as she looked at Lexa, Lincoln and Luna who were the only ones who didn't take a sip. "What can I say, we can handle our liquor." Lexa said nudging Clarke and laughing as Luna and Lincoln high fives each other.

"Never have I ever been good at physical sports," Monty said. Luna, Lexa, Octavia, Raven, Clarke and Lincoln all took a sip. "How have none of you been good at a sport? Where was your childhood?" Octavia said to everyone. "Yeah," Lincoln said, backing Octavia and everyone laughed.

"Fine, never have I ever kissed a girl" Octavia said. Everyone but herself took a sip as Lexa groaned loudly at the statement. Straight people, am I right?

"Seriously?" She said to everyone as she looked around. "Who have you kissed?" Octavia said pointing at Clarke then going around to everyone. "Niylah," Clarke said, raising her cup and taking another sip. "Oh I forgot about her, hot," Octavia said, recalling the memories of Clarke's 8th grade girlfriend.

She skipped over Jasper and Monty and pointed to their girlfriends instead who had big grins in their faces. "Maya," Harper said, "Harper," Maya said as they pointed to each other and giggled.

"What?" Both Monty and Jasper said in unison, turning to their girlfriends. "Yeah that's a long story" Maya said. "It was a REALLY complicated date," Harper said, giving a bit more information but not any details.

Harper and Maya both looked at each other with a mischievous smile before leaning in and quickly pecking each other's lips. Both Monty and Jasper looked at each other in shock before Jasper said "honestly, I'm not even mad." And Monty agreed with him. Maya then turned to her boyfriend, leaning in to kiss Jasper. Harper did the same with Monty. "Don't worry, I only have eyes for you" Maya said to Jasper. "Ok next" Octavia said, rolling her eyes and pointing to Lexa.

"Really?" Lexa said questioning why she pointed to her, Octavia moved on forgetting she was gay. "Yeah I'd assume you would have people lining up to kiss you so I will skip the long list" Octavia said laughing.

"Hey," Lincoln said, hitting Octavia's arm playfully. "I'm sorry but have you seen her, I'm mean just look at that jawline" Octavia said, throwing her arms up in surrender before pointing to Lexa. Everyone in the room silently nodded as Lexa could feel all their stares at her body.

She couldn't help but feel awkward and let out a small laugh before forcibly moving on. Octavia pointed to Luna next. Luna slyly pointed back over to Lexa who was grinning widely and everyone looked back and forth between the two girls in shock.

"It happened when we were like nine" Luna said, raising her hands up and defending herself. "I was confused after I had my first girl crush so I kissed Luna to see if I was actually gay and well, here I am" Lexa said clearing the air but everyone still looked back and forth between the two, not knowing what to say. Raven was very quiet as to not say anything that would embarrass her at how she was t a fan that Luna kissed someone else, even if it was a while ago.

Then Octavia pointed to Raven. The brown haired girl blushed immensely and looked down before pointing to her best friend across the room who was trying to hide behind her blonde hair.

"HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS?" Octavia said, jumping up out of her chair. Anger, shock, happiness, all filled her veins along with many more emotions as she looked at the two girls.

"It happened a long time ago" Raven said slouching farther down in her chair as if it was shielding her from everyone's gaze. It was not working. "Yeah, I only did it to shut her up because she was speaking a hundred miles a minute about some robo- crap and my ears couldn't take much more of it." Clarke said, taking a sip of her drink and crossing her arms.

Lexa felt her ears heat up from next to Clarke but didn't change the emotion on her face.

"I know you enjoyed it," Raven said, smirking at Clarke and sending her a fake kiss from across the room. Clarke just rolled her eyes at her. Octavia stood there, speechless. Everyone was speechless.

"So I am the only person here who hasn't kissed a girl?" Octavia asked, looking around slightly defeated. She didn't know why she wanted to, she was straight and had a boyfriend but she felt a little left out.

"Not for long," Raven said, getting up and pushing her lips against Octavia's before she had a moment to even react. Raven pulled away and left Octavia stunned at the situation before walking back to her seat next to Luna who had a slightly defeated look on her face that went virtually undetected by everyone since they were so wrapped up in the kiss that just happened.

"Well, ok then" Octavia said, taking a sip of her drink. "I hope you enjoyed that Reyes because you get no more" Lincoln said sternly but while laughing and pointing to Raven. "Oh I most certainly did," Raven joked back as she winked at Octavia.

Clarke cleared her throat before starting, "Never have I ever beaten anyone up" She said, looking directly at Lexa. "That's not fair," Lexa said, pointing to Clarke as she took a sip. She was the only one in the room to do so. "Whatever, no regrets" Lexa said proudly as she took another sip.

"Never have I ever..." Lexa said as she looked around the room, "had a crush on someone in this room" she said as she made eye contact directly with Luna.

Luna never averted her stoic and frankly, deadly gaze from Lexa as she took a slow sip of her drink, letting the alcohol burn in the way down.

Everyone, including Lexa took a sip of their drink, again, I don't think she understands the point of the game. "Wait, slow down and everyone please explain," Jasper said, looking around the room in confusion.

"Nope, moving on," Luna said quickly, looking at Lexa and shaking her head. "Never have I ever failed my driver's license test," Luna said, focusing on one person in the room. This time Lexa shook her head amusingly and took a sip of her drink.

"Do it again," Luna said persistently and Lexa took another sip of her drink. Luna raised her eyebrows one last time and Lexa took yet another sip. Everyone else in the room felt out of place and like they were missing something.

"What? Ok know we need an explanation" Clarke said facing Lexa and looking back and forth between her and Luna while everyone else was desperately waiting.

"I may have failed my drivers license..." she started speaking but trailed off out of embarrassments "... three times" she said the last part quietly as she finally finished her sentence.

"What?" Clarke said in amusement and everyone else followed. "But there is a reason," Lexa said, defending herself. "It doesn't matter, you failed, not once, not twice, but three times" Luna said laughing at her. "Shut up Luna," Lexa said, giving her a dirty look.

"Ok, we are almost out of liquor" Jasper said slurring and pointing to the empty cups that were tossed aimlessly across the table. "And that's why I am here my friends, I will be back. Nobody moves" Raven said, pointing viciously at everyone and they all nodded their heads in fear. Jasper, Monty, and Octavia were the most drunk but Lexa had taken the most sips out of the group.

Luna POV:

It had been over two hours since Raven left and she wasn't back yet, I couldn't tell if it was the alcohol in my system, I chose to believe so, but I was starting to pace around and Lexa had to come over to me to calm me down.

"What are you doing?" She asked. "Lex, she has been gone for a long time, why isn't she back yet?" I said questioning and fiddling with my fingers. I did that when I was nervous or in this case, drunk. I was also, told by Lexa, a paranoid drinker so it could also be that:

"I'm sure she is fine, just give her a call" she said, rubbing my arm to calm me down. I picked up the phone and called her, no response. I called her again.

Lexa POV:

I walked back over to Clarke who was watching me talk to Luna. "Is she ok?" She asked, looking at Luna who held her phone tightly to her ear. "She is just worried that Raven isn't back yet, she's a paranoid drinker," I said, shrugging my shoulders and sitting back down next to her.

"I'm sure she is ok." Clarke said reassuringly. "Yeah, Luna is calling her to be sure and so her brain dose t freak her out," I said and I slid my back on to the couch next to Clarke.

"Are all of you guys really that drunk?" Lexa said looking at the people in front of her.

Jasper and Monty were staying perfectly still not to move a muscle because 'Raven said so' and Octavia was laughing and giggling in Lincoln's arms at nothing in particular.

I looked at all of them and laughed. "How are you not completely falling apart?" Clarke said turning to me. "I mean, I'm pretty sure you drank almost double what they did and you're completely fine." She said actually looking concerned which made me smile.

I looked at the others and they seemed preoccupied with their drunken partners to notice me speaking.

"My dad gave me my first beer at 14, I guess I grew an intolerance." I said raising my eyebrows and taking another sip of my drink. "That can't be safe Lex," Clarke said with more worry and concern.

"Well, I'm perfectly fine and with an amazing tolerance so I think I will be ok" I said reassuring her but in fact, I just remembered all the times I was forced to drink the disgusting alcohol in the fridge because in my house, it was all we had to drink. It was either drink beer, or die of thirst.

Just then, we were interrupted by Luna dropping her phone as it crashed loudly on the ground, piercing the silence. The loud bang made everyone in the house be insanely quiet, like I swear you could hear crickets. I looked over to her and she had tears threatening to fall in her eyes.

"Luna what happened?" I said getting up and going over to her because with knew if she was crying, it was bad. Her mouth was open but she couldn't speak. "Luna?" I said repeating myself. She looked at me and the tears started to fall into her rosy cheeks.

"It's Raven," she said and everyone looked at her, about to break themselves. "She was in a car accident and she is in the hospital. They don't know if she will make it." Luna said, still in shock.
