Part 27
13:13, 28 April 2021Clarke POV:
I woke up with Lexa holding me in her arms. She was still asleep but I turned to look at her. Her brown hair draped over her face. I reached over and moved some of her hair out of the way so I could see her precious face. She squirmed at the motion but didn't open her eyes.
"Good morning Lex," I whispered to her, well it was actually actually myself because she was asleep. I smiled at her sleeping form before getting out of bed.
"Stay with me" a groggy, sleepy, and raspy voice said behind me, her light touch barely holding onto my hand as my back came off of the bed. But it was enough to convince me to lay back down.
I crawled back into bed next to her as her eyes fluttered open. "Good morning Clarke" she said, still wrestling to fight the sleep that was slowly taking her over again. "Good morning Lex" I replied with a smile as I watched her eyes struggle to open. "You already said that," she said with a smirk and my cheeks went red.
"You heard me?" I questioned, really hoping she didn't. "Yeah, as soon as you turned over I regained some amount of consciousness" Lexa said as she was able to keep her eyes open. "And you just pretended to be asleep?" I questioned.
"It was too cute to interrupt," she said, shrugging but with a cute little smile. "Aw Woods, do you think I'm cute?" I said, teasing her. " I think you are very cute" she whispered in my ear before getting out of bed.
My cheeks were burning up and my stomach was doing constant loops. I let out a shaky breath before getting up myself.
We went downstairs where my mom was making breakfast. "So, what do you guys have planned for today?" She asked. "Um, I'm not sure" I responded, looking at Lexa but she had a big, stupid smile on her face that only meant trouble.
"Clarke has to complete her project today" she said, still holding a big smirk across her face. My eyes went wide at the realization that that was today, "no" I whined at her.
"What is this project and why do you hate it so much?" My mom said, now very interested.
Me and Lexa shared awkward looks before my mom said "you know what, never mind, I don't want to know" putting her hands up in surrender as she exited the kitchen.
Narrator POV:
After they finished breakfast Clarke and Lexa were cleaning up while Abby left for her shift at the hospital. Clarke was washing the dishes when Lexa came up behind her after wiping the table down.
"Stop stalling," Lexa said while basically breathing into her neck and sending chills down Clarke's spine. "Hey, I'm not stalling," Clarke responded, lying through her teeth. "You have been washing that plate for five minutes Clarke, I think it's clean" Lexa said laughing at her.
Clarke put the plate away, a little embarrassed and said "fine, I was stalling," with a defeated look because she really didn't want to do her project. Lexa nodded to her before saying "well, let's stop that" while grabbing her hand and leading her outside.
It was a beautiful day. The sun was out but it wasn't beaming too hard, the air was warm but had a slight breeze.
"Take off your shirt," Lexa said. Clarke looked at her skeptically with a smile and raised her eyebrows in question. "Not like that dummy, it will be easier without the flow and friction of your shirt" Lexa said like it was obvious.
"Oh" Clarke said, blushing and looking away from the brunette. "You have a dirty mind" Lexa said as she slid her shirt off. Clarke followed until they were both in a sports bra and shorts.
"Ok," Lexa said, holding up her hands, "punch my hand." Clarke balled her fist and hit one of Lexa's hands.
Lexa let out a chuckle at Clarke's weak punch. "What?" Clarke asked, embarrassed of her hit. "Make a fist" Lexa instructed as Clarke followed intensely. But she obviously did it wrong.
Lexa grabbed Clarke's hand delicately and moved her thumb into the right place before sliding Clarke's foot backward into place. She placed her hands on Clarke's hips to adjust them into the right positioning.
"Ok, now try" Lexa said, holding out her hands again. Clarke took a breath before her swung again at Lexa's hand. The impact was certainly greater than her first try. "See, better right?" Lexa said proudly. "It felt better," Clarke said, shaking her hand, trying to get rid of the stinging feeling that was irradiating through her hand.
"We are going to take it up a notch" Lexa said, smirking. "How?" Clarke questioned and it was answered by Lexa getting into her own fighting position. "No, I don't want to hurt you," Clarke said, standing up straight out of her position Lexa set for her. "It's funny you think you could," Lexa said laughing. "Fine" Clarke responded, following Lexa's motions agin, calling back into her stance.
Clarke swung first but it was easily blocked and pushed away from Lexa. "Come in Griffin, you can do better than that!" Lexa boasted. Clarke swung again and Lexa ducked out of the way as Clarke used her other hand to throw another punch that Lexa caught with her hand.
"Wow" Clarke said, slightly out of breath as she stopped. "I told you it wouldn't be easy" Lexa said, a smile staying in her face. "Well it is my first day, cut me some slack" Clarke said, in her fighting stance. "This is my slack," Lexa said, getting back in her spot.
This time Lexa attacked first, not too hard but enough for Clarke to block it. "Good" Lexa nodded and Clarke looked impressed with herself. Lexa swung again and Clarke blocked her, again.
"I thought you were good at this Woods?" Clarke said cockily. "Don't get so cocky Griffin" Lexa said back before grabbing both of Clarke's arms, twisting them and spinning her around before pushing her to the floor. Lexa held her closer a bit so she didn't hurt herself on the way down.
Clarke was taken back by this action and had her eyes wide as she laid with her back on the ground with Lexa over top of her, straddling her and pinning her arms down. Both girls were breathing hard as a smile both fell across their faces.
Clarke couldn't speak. She also couldn't help but focus on anything other than the fact that Lexa was on top of her. She was also slightly turned on by the girl with a small layer of sweat that seemed to make her glow even more in the sun light. She just couldn't make words over the massive lump in her throat.
"Next time, remember who you're talking to," Lexa said, leaning down whispering it in Clarke's ear before standing up again. Lexa extended her hand out to Clarke who took it and got up again.
Clarke grunted as she got up and said "ok, I think I'm done for today," while rubbing her back. "For today? So you would do it again?" Lexa asked her with surprise in her voice. "Yeah but only if you teach me how to do that thing you just did" Clarke said, motioning you the floor because she was so caught off guard that she had no clue what she actually did. But she was ready, and happy to learn.
"I will teach you anytime Griffin" Lexa said, wiping the sweat of her forehead with the back of her hand and taking a sip of water as they walked inside, side by sized so their shoulders occasionally rubbed past each other.
"So I guess we are both done with this part of the project now" Clarke said. She was a little disappointed because she had a lot of fun with Lexa working on this. She didn't expect to feel like this but she couldn't help it. Lexa felt the same way but that part was over now.
Lexa sighed before saying "yeah, I guess so"
They sat in awkward silence for a while but they were saved by a text message. From guess who. Raven.
*group chat*
Raven: Do you guys want to come over tomorrow?
Octavia: YES! It's been to long
Jasper: It has been like 2 days O
Raven: that's too long without seeing my girl back off Jasper
Clarke: i will come Raven
Raven: yay Clarkie!
Octavia: Lincoln are you in?
Lincoln: of course babe, I will be there
Raven: eww, get a room
Octavia: this is a group chat, there is no room
Raven: still, get one
Luna: I'm with Raven, ew
Lexa: shocker
Luna: what is that supposed to mean?
Lexa: oh nothing
Lexa looked up from her phone to see Clarke looking at her. She smiled and said "I had too, it's so obvious." She groaned as she spoke. "I know but everyone else is just apparently clueless," Clarke said back.
"Yeah well Luna already admitted her feelings for her, it's time she acts" Lexa said, rubbing her forehead and looking back at the messages that were still coming in. "Wait, she did?" Clarke said in shock.
"Yeah, she told me during movie night" Lexa said, trying to recall her memories. "No way!" Clarke said excitedly. "What?" Lexa asked the blonde confused on her sudden excitement. "Raven told me she liked her on the same night!" Clarke said, practically yelling at this point.
Lexa smacked her head with her palm and said, "so let me get this straight," she said, stopping her self from laughing at the irony. "So Luna likes Raven and Raven likes Luna but they both don't know they like each other so they are pretending they don't but they actually do like each other?" She said, trying to put all the pieces together. "When you put it like that it's confusing" Clarke said, trying to follow the brunettes words and laughing.
*group chat*
Raven: ok so Luna are you coming?
Luna: of course
Raven: YAY!
"It's so painful to watch," Lexa said, her face cringing as she smiled her forehead with her palm. Both girls sat there laughing about their friends and the events from the past couple of days.
