Chapter 44

After an amazing few days in Hawaii it eventually came to an end. Saying goodbye to Charles and Charlotte at the airport before we board our plane back to England.

"Thank you Lando. That was amazing." I say to him as we sit in our seats waiting for takeoff. "Anything for you, my love. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I did too." He smiles at me, grabbing my hand and lacing it in his. "I'm so proud of you and everything you've done. I love you." I say to him and he smiles at the randomness of it. "I love you too." He replies.

Ten minutes after we land my phone rings. "Oh crap it's Christian. Gimme a second." I say to Lando, moving to a quieter place in the airport. "Hey Christian." I say. "Hi Hannah. I was wondering if you could come to the factory tomorrow. There are some things you need to see and go through before the season starts up again." He says. "Ok. I'll be there at 9. See you tomorrow." I say. "Ok great. Goodbye." He says. "Bye Christian." I say, hanging up the phone before walking back to where Lando was standing and waiting for our suitcases.

"What was that about?" He questions. "I have to go to the factory tomorrow morning." I say. "Oh yeah Zak just texted me the same thing." Lando laughs. Eventually our bags show up and grab them, saying goodbye to the others who were still waiting before we leave. We pack our stuff into my car and Lando decides he wants to drive.

"What if you sleep at my place tonight?" Lando nervously suggests. I think about it for a minute. "That sounds like a great idea babe." I said. I'm quite tired from the flight and didn't feel like driving all the way back to my place.

The whole way back to his apartment, Lando held my hand. His fingers intertwined with mine. Rubbing his thumb soothingly across the back of my hand. Eventually we pull up to his apartment. I grab my bags and we walk up the stairs.

Lando unlocks the apartment and we make our way inside. I walk straight into the bedroom and flop down on the bed, face first. A few moments later I hear a laugh from behind me. "Tired babe?" I hear Lando ask. "Mmmhhhmmm." I mumble back, slowly nodding my head. Then the bed dips next to me. "Me too." He agrees, pulling me into his arms. His arms wrap around my back and I lay my head on his chest as I begin to fall asleep.

A loud alarm wakes me up. I open my eyes to find me in the exact same place I fell asleep. Wrapped up in Lando's arms. I slowly move out of his arms, trying not to wake him as I get ready. "Babe?" He mumbles. "Go back to sleep, my love. I'll see you later." I say, softly kissing him before making my way out his bedroom.

I walk through the Red Bull factory, greeting everyone as I pass. Eventually finding my way to Christians office. I knock on the door. "Come in." He replies. I walk in, spotting my manager, Liam, sitting in the second seat infront of Christians desk. My anxiety rises, nervous about what is going to happen next.

"Hey, Christian. You wanted to see me?" I ask. "Hello Hannah. Please, sit. So as you know, you contract with us ends at the end of the year." He starts. I nod and he continues. "We want to offer you an extension. Two more years and a pay raise. You have done so well for us this season and we want you to stay with us." He says and the smile on my face grows. "Wow. Thank you so much. This is a dream come true." I say and my manager reads through the contract Christian hands him.

"Sounds good." Me manager says. "Great. We will announce it the Thursday of the South African Grand Prix." Christian says as he and I both sign the contract. "Great. Thank you so much." I say, shaking his hand and leaving his office. Liam follows me out. "That contract has a great deal. Good pay raise too." Liam says. "Great. This is amazing." I say, a big smile on my face. "Coffee?" Liam suggests. "Sure, why not." I smile as we walk towards the cafeteria.

After about half an hour I decide to do some training on the sim. Saying goodbye to Liam I make my way to the sim room. Spending two hours driving around the Hungaroring. Eventually I climb off the sim and grab a Red Bull.

I make my way to my car, climbing in and making my way back to my apartment. I grab my bags and make my way up to my apartment. I drop my bags at the base of my bed, promising to unpack them tomorrow. I quickly jump in the shower, changing into my sweatpants and Lando's hoodie that I stole this morning.

Flopping onto the couch, the smell of Lando's cologne surrounds me which helps me relax. I switch on Netflix and click a random show that was suggested which ended up being Dynasty, which I have heard good things about. Slowly my eyes close, still catching up on sleep missed in Hawaii. Eventually I drift off to sleep

The loud blaring of my phone ringing rudely wakes me up. I pick up my phone and see Lando's name across the screen. Worriedly I pick it up and before I have the chance to say anything I hear his voice.

"Move in with me."
