"Calypso!" I called.

"In here!" she said from her garden.

I ran up to the gates. "You're still here?"

She stood and turned to me. "I am."

"Can I come in?"

She hesitated. "Sure."

I gingerly stepped inside her garden and shut the gates behind me.

"Nice garden you got here. I realized I never said that earlier."

"I'm still mad at you, Leo," she said, hands on her hips.

"That's okay. Come with me." I took her hand. I noticed that wired rose I gave her. She made it into a ring and was wearing it now. She saw me staring at her hand and was about to say something but I interrupted, "Nice rose. Where'd you get it from?"

We walked on the beach until we came back to the spot. Calypso immediately saw the difference and hugged me.

"How did you do it, Leo? It's like you're a child of Demeter and not Heptaestus!"

If only she knew, I thought.

"A Leo never reveals his secrets," I grinned.

We spend so much time that night watching the sunset, building and destroying sand castles, and putting flowers in each other's hair, that we fell asleep right on the sandy beach, holding hands.
