---------------------------------------

Third Person's POV

It was a rainy morning; the perfect day to stay at home and be lazy watching Netflix while eating your favorite food. What would make this even greater is cuddling with your boyfriend under the warm, fuzzy blanket with the pitter-patter of the raindrops outside.

Ah yes. A lazy day sounds nice.

However, it was the total opposite for Luna Saito. She's spending this rainy morning at TCC, working her ass off for the NHK Trophy which will take place in about 2 weeks. The only thing that's similar is how she's training with her boyfriend, the one and only Yuzuru Hanyu. Ever since they got home from the last competition, the Rostelecom Cup, she only took two days off before training again.

In one of those two days, she went to the hospital for another monthly check up with her doctor. It wasn't actually hard for her to keep Yuzuru off her tail. According to Yuzu, he was "going to redeem himself" at the upcoming competition that's why he only had a day off instead of two.

-Flashback-

Luna arrived at the hospital wearing an oversized hoodie so as to not attract attention from people. Apparently after the previous competition, she became more recognizable to the public. It would cause so many malicious rumors to erupt if people were to find out that she goes to a cardiologist from time to time. That would be the definition of a DISASTER.

Anyway, she has been sitting at the waiting lounge now after she had finished getting her ECG and chest X-Ray.

As soon as she made eye contact with Mrs. Green, Luna went inside the room without hesitation. Before passing her, she mouthed a simple "thank you" for not mentioning her name so no one would know.

With the click of the door knob, she sat down on the sofa, greeting her doctor a good morning.

The whole situation has been more and more realistic to Luna as months passed by. It had been what, about 7 months now since she was given a time frame and since she started skating again.

"You already know what I'm going to say right?" Dr. Sanchez said.

(A/N: I actually forgot the name of the doctor, or even if I did name the doctor. I'll just change it to this one HAHA)

"Of course I do." Luna nonchalantly responded.

"And? That's all you have to say?" Dr. Sanchez replied as he did not look up and kept on reading her ECG results and X-Ray.

"I mean. I guess? Come on. It's not treatable anyway. Surgery is definitely out of the question. I don't even have the guts to tell my family I'm dying. Besides, the meds are working fine. After I take them, I already feel a lot better."

Dr. Sanchez just replied with a heavy sigh while putting down the papers. "Then why not just tell them and just get the surgery?"

"And what? Worry them more? Cause more burden? I hate that. I'll never forget the day I got diagnosed with this curse. I don't ever want to see their faces like that again. Not while I'm still alive." Luna replied seriously.

"Well the only thing I can do for you is persuade you to do the surgery but it seems like you're still as hard headed as ever." Dr. Sanchez said.

-End of Flashback-

So after all that, she was prescribed a second medicine like the first one which was heart relaxation medicine just to tame down her episodes every training and competition.

Normally, she would've stayed at home in this weather and enjoyed her definition of a lazy day. However, she's not the Luna who was always cooped up at home anymore. She's Luna Saito, an athlete pursuing her passion of figure skating and to her, this is a perfect day to train just like any other day.

Luna was at the rink side taking a short sip of water. As she was doing so, she couldn't take her eyes off of Yuzu who had been training his quads without breaks since they started today.

Luna feels herself wince whenever he flubs a jump. Its as if she feels more pain whenever that happens, not because he's physically hurt but because she knows how Yuzu is the most hardworking person she knows and that he feels disappointed with himself being the perfectionist that he is.

She could feel tears creeping up her eyes which she shook off immediately when Yuzu finally landed his worst enemy in quads, the quad lutz, after so many failed attempts.

"Go Yuzuuu! Woo-hoooo!!!" Luna cheered Yuzu on after his successful quad lutz, jumping and throwing her tiny, delicate hands in the air.

Yuzu immediately turned to where the voice came from and as soon as he did, his face went from a scowl to a smile that could've lit up the whole world.

He laughed at the cute antics of his girlfriend who was probably his number one fan right now, and gestured for Luna to hug him. Without hesitation, Luna dropped her water bottle on the bench and skated straight into Yuzu's arms.

She nuzzled her face against his chest before looking up and saying "You did it!"

"I think so? It could be better." Yuzu just said as he pinched her cheeks.

"Awww. Don't be so hard on yourself pooh bear. We still have a few days. Besides, you're a monster and you probably won't stop training until you got it down perfectly." Luna replied.

"You know me so well Luna-chan. Let's go back to training?" Yuzu said as he let go of Luna's waist.

"Aye, aye captain!" Luna replied as she jokingly saluted. The melodic echoes of their laughs resonated across the rink.

From the sidelines, Javi and Zhenya just looked at each other with a sad smile as they witness before their eyes as tragic love story.

Luna's POV

We arrived yesterday here at Osaka, the location for our second Grand Prix assignment, NHK Trophy. Never in my life have I been thankful for not forgetting Japanese. Going around here without being able to communicate would've been disastrous.

Anyway, we decided to spent today at Dotonbori before the training tomorrow. Though I heard my uncle say something before we left, which I cannot remember.

"Hey Zhenya. What did coach say again earlier? Didn't catch it." I asked Zhenya who I was locked arms with while walking.

"Luna, he said not to eat too much or else he's going to send you back to Canada." Zhenya said while laughing at me.

"Hey I don't eat a lot! Besides, we're here because I wanted to go shoppi- is that Takoyaki?" I said as I got a whiff of the heavenly smell of the delicacy before unlinking my arms with Zhenya.

"Welp there she goes." Javi said as he and Yuzu chuckled at my action.

"Ugggh. Then let's go follow the dog." Jason said loud enough for me to hear as I just glared back at him before proceeding to buy my food.

Of course, the night ended with Javi and Yuzu carrying our shopping bags back to the hotel as we sneaked in more food for dinner in our hotel rooms.

Tonight we enjoyed, tomorrow we train.
