= WAKING UP BY LICKS ON THE FACE WASNT WHAT Madison Faye exactly had in plan. She heard the voices of many different people and the soft touches of what feels to be tongues glides across her face.
When she opens her eyes, Madison finds not one, not two but three tiny cubs licking at her cheeks. Stopping when they find that she has awoken from her slumber.
"Seriously? My face will be covered in saliva." She tiredly mumbles, moving to sit up as she realised that many people were sat along a path with bags and weapons. Her eyebrows furrow in confusion until the face of Tony appears sitting beside a bloodied Sarah Harding.
"Break's over, move on!" Roland shouts and just then everyone groans as they stand to their feet. Madison follows, everyone didn't notice her until she fell over with a thud, making her presence known.
"Come on Madison." She looks up to find her cousin crouching down and pulling the female up onto her feet.
"What?" Madison was confused as people walks past her after Peter left her to stand in her own spot until Kelly jumps to land beside the girl.
"You're finally awake!" Kelly laughs aloud.
"How long was I asleep for?" Madison asks Kelly, picking up the big jacket she wore and they began wandering after the group.
"Just a few hours, we're making our way to the village." Kelly tells the female, watching Madison stutter in her walk and immediately walk around. Something felt off from her figure.
Madison then quickly goes back to where she laid and hastily searched that area while the others nearly forget her. "Dr Malcolm has your bag Ma'am."
Spinning around at the unfamiliar voice, Madison finds a bald man wearing hunters clothes and a safari hat standing above her. A gun firmly secured beside him.
"Where is he?" Madison asks, resuming to search for something before she picks up a camera picture from the ground. Wafting away any dirt and mud then slips it into the strange black jackets pocket.
"Near the front, keeping an eye on both his daughter and Dr Harding." The man informs her. Pointing to where they both see a tall man towering the group, placing firm hands on his daughters back while a familiar rucksack is over his shoulder.
"My names Roland Tembo." The man then introduced himself with a short bow as the pair began walking side by side.
"Madison Faye."
"It must be annoying but I do need to ask, what was that dinosaur you had turned into?" Roland goes to ask the girl with curiosity evident in his voice.
"I don't know, sometimes if I'm in dire need, I'll just mix DNA's together and somewhat make a hybrid." Madison explains, trying to give him a simple but straight forward answer. Her purple and pink hair were evidently messed up.
"Fascinating... also what's that egg? Everyone's been placing bets and all." He shoots another question in response. "Like my pal, Ajay Sidhu, he thought a stegosaurus while I said a carnotaurus."
"A giganatosaurus, the largest carnivore the world has ever seen." Madison reveals before they reach the front of the group.
There was Malcolm walking forwards, her rucksack comfortably resting on his right hip as he talks with Nick. The man looms over others, probably because he was like 6'4. Jogging forward while tying her hair into a messy ponytail, the female reaches the man and swiftly snatches her bag, slipping it down to his hand.
From this, Ian immediately went and grabbed the bag. Thinking it was a stranger taking it until when he see's the girl rummaging through it, the man let's go.
"Good to see you awake Maddy." Ian nods to the girl, turning back to face the front.
"Good to see you awake Ian as well." Madison responds, elbowing him in the side with a smile. She then pulls out the dinosaur egg.
"Only small cracks... smooth, quite warm." Madison murmurs while she holds the egg, checking if it had any major damage. Placing her ear against the surface, she heavily breathed upon feeling the rather big heart beat.
"Oh there's your jacket Ian." Sarah speaks up, making Madison turn to her. Finding the female pointing at the white eyed human who looks down at the jacket. No wonder it was big but warm.
"Looks better on Madison than it does on me." Ian shrugs. Staring at the female who gently slips the egg into her bag.
"All right, we rest here. If he's alive, he'll catch up. If not . . . well, that's that. Nobody tells the little girl." Roland tells the group, just as the exhausted people sprawls along the river bed. "Last thing we need is screaming hysterics."
He gestures his hand to refer to one of the satellite recon photos. "The worker village is down in there, about a mile and a half northwest from the base of these cliffs."
"I'm sure I can find a game trail. Some kind of path that goes down there." Sarah hums while Roland nods.
"First we eat. Sleep. Two hours. Then we hit it." He tells the group.
"I probably won't sleep, I feel like I could jump off another cliff." Madison laughs aloud, ignoring the stares as she shuffles through her rucksack still at Ian's side and pulls out two granola bars.
The group has made camp in the jungle. The mood is sombre, most of the marchers asleep already, the nocturnal jungle hooting and buzzing around them. Three or four tents have been put up.
The hunters gave Malcolm and his daughter a tent and so Kelly lays comfortably on a sleeping bag, Ezra, Bumble and Renee all cuddled up to her with Ian placed next to her, stroking her hair.
Madison sits outside, climbing a high branch she decides to open her book. Multiple sketch drawings of random animals and plants. What ever comes to her mind.
It was a calm night, most likely the dinosaurs around them will break that calmness. Somethings the girl stayed awake for.
Even if she doesn't mean to, girl could easily hear voices from the others side of the camp. She decides to keep her attention spread out incase something bad happens.
"I'm not going to let anything happen to you. You know that, don't you?" Malcolm's voice reaches her ears, they were soft and caring. "You're the most important thing in my life, Kelly, and I'll do anything for you."
"Anything?" Kelly whispers.
"In the world."
"Okay. Get married to either Sarah or Madison." Madison's own white eyes widens at her words.
Why would she said get married to either her or Sarah? Shouldn't it just be 'Get married to Sarah', Madison never thought about Malcolm that way much.
Kelly giggled softly. "You know you want to. Nothing else could ever have made you come to this island. Only Sarah. You need an anvil to fall on your head before you get it?" She says, encouraging him more to Sarah which makes the girl sigh briefly, luckily she begged the girl to explain more for Sarah.
"And then again, literally everyone can see how you can ogle at Madison, the nights you called her instead of Sarah. I could hear you always laughing, laughing even more than when you talk with Sarah." Her heart once more drops, cheeks blossoming up as Madison decides to shake her head.
Ian could never possibly like some mutant and marry her instead of his own current lover. She decides to move away when Sarah greets her with a short 'good night' and crawls into the same tent as them.
"Madison, want a hot chocolate?" Tony asks the girl as he hovers over in his suit. The girl turns and looks to him with a nod. It was a good choice for Tony to have a hot drink maker added for cold adventures.
Creating it with his suit, using some stored ingredients. Tony passes it to the girl and turns his head. "Would you also like a hot chocolate in a travel mug Dr Malcolm?"
"Oh!- didn't know you were there sorry." Dr Malcolm almost yelps in surprise when he went to walk by, having exited his own tent to think about many things, and hears the billionaires voice. "And if you don't mind."
