= THE GROUP WAS NOW IN A NEW CAMP. A camp they obviously did not with a single decision like. Tony opted to stay beside the currently sleeping Madison Faye, staying suited in his iron armour in case those T-Rexes appeared once more.
The new group has a half a dozen large plastic containers of water, thirty-seven containers of food, ranging from ziploc bags to aluminum tin, a variety of weapons, most of them borne on the hips or shoulders of the hunters team.
The charred and scraggly remnants of several pieces of now-useless electrical equipment, a flare fun and several flares, somebody's tattered paperback "Crime and Punishment", a box of Hershey bars, a carton of Marlboros, and Sarah's lucky backpack.
Roland supervises the assembling of the resources, which are displayed in front of him. Peter, Nick, Ian, and Kelly who was currently held tightly by her father with Bumble and Ezra in her own arms, are with him.
Sarah found herself a man named Dr. Burke began consulting anxiously, heads nodding in agreement, while the other argue.
"Our communication equipment's been destroyed. If your radio and satellite phone were in those trailers that went off the cliff." Roland begins, showing them the destroyed communication equipment.
Malcolm nods. "They were."
"Then we're stuck here, ladies and gentlemen, and stuck together." He claps his hands and glares at the group. "Thanks to you people."
Nick scoffs in disbelief. "Hey, we came here to observe, you came to strip-mine the place!" He turns to Dieter, who is staring him down and shoves him back "Back off."
"At least we came prepared. And until you intentionally destroyed all our-"
"Prepared?" Malcolm asks. Looking back at the man. "Five years of work and a hundred miles of electrified fence couldn't prepare the other island."
Tony could only make a vivid memory of the night when Madison spilled everything happening on that island, they were celebrating their first year since knowing one another and the girl got a bit too much drunk. "did you actually think a couple dozen Marlboro men would make a difference here?"
"It's a looter mentality. All you care about is what you can take. You have no right." Nick states.
Peter Ludlow sighs heavily and pressed his fingers against his temples. "An extinct animal that's brought back to life has no rights." He says, narrowing his at the sleeping purple and pink headed female hugging an egg with a tiny cub much like the ones Kelly holds resting their head on her side. "It exists because we made it. We patented it. We own it."
Nick once again looks to Dieter with a deep frown. "Are you looking for a problem?"
Roland clicks his tongue in a style of recognition, pointing a questioning finger at the male. "I know you. You're that little Earth First bastard, aren't you?"
Sarah and Dr. Burke steps it to solve the situation. "Everyone, keep your voices down"
"Earth First? What's that?"
Roland glances to Peter to explain. "They're professional saboteurs."
"Environmentalists." Nick says hastily.
"Criminals." Roland sneers. Turning to settle his eyes on the sleeping woman with strange hair. He was mainly intrigued by her presence, a human able to shape-shift and bend laws of physics.
"Listen to me, by moving the baby rex into our camp, we may have changed the adults' perceived territory!" Sarah explains the thoughts to the much larger group.
Ludlow glances to them confusedly. "Their what?"
"That's why they persisted in destroying the trailers, they now feel they have to defend this entire area!" Burke answers.
"We have to move. Right now." Sarah points to them.
"Move where? Our boat, their airlift- they're both waiting for an order we have no way to send." Nick says.
"And I'm not waking up Madison."
"But Ian- it's better if she isn't here." Sarah responds, utterly confused on why her partner was now fixated on helping the girl.
"I'm not going anywhere without her or Kelly, did that once and she had to come and save us yet again." Ian answers quickly. Informing the group as they turn to the snoring female.
"There's a communication center, here, in the operations building. It's the main structure in the old worker village." Ludlow states. Scratching his neck as he continues. "Hammond ran everything on geothermal power, it was never supposed to need replenishing. It should still work. If we can get there, we can send a radio call for the airlift."
Nick the goes to ask. "How far is the village?"
"A day's walk, maybe more." He strangely laughs in a quick response. "That's not even the actual problem." He says. Confusing the group.
"What is?" Roland inquired.
"The velociraptors."
Malcolm looks up sharply. While Peter pulls out a map, spreading it out to reveal that is was one of the satellite reconnaissance maps.
Upon this recognition, Malcolm shepherds Kelly away from the conversation and mutters something to her quietly in the background.
"Not a fan?" Tony asks Ian who sits beside him with Kelly beside the father.
"Used to be, not ever since four years ago." Malcolm responds with a strained chuckle. It was true, the man had used to love the thought of velociraptors but ever since last time, he even refused being in the same room as a skeleton version of the animal.
"Madison speaks highly of you and Dr Grant and Dr Sattler." Malcolm turns to the billionaire with a look of surprise.
"Why? You're practically a god with these." Malcolm asks, knocking a finger lightly against Tony's metal suit.
"You guys were considered heroes in Madison's words, those who brought her to realisation about this whole bringing the dead back to life situation." Tony explains. Watching as Kelly rests tiredly against her father who throws an arm around her.
Malcolm felt his body somehow heat up with his expression unconsciously lighting up at the billionaires words. He didn't know what it was, but in truth, the man was beaming with proudness that this girl, he took a liking towards the moment they first met, was considering that he, Dr Ian Malcolm was her hero.
Alongside Dr Alan Grant, of course, the chaotician knew of her liking towards that palaeontologist but said nothing on it. Having silently enjoyed the nights when all three of them would video call one another and spend some time together virtually.
"You are going quite red, are you feeling okay?." Tony bluntly informs him as Malcolm shakes his head. Not noticing the burning of eyes in his head.
"I'm fine, just a cold" He lies. The man felt bad, gaining feelings for a girl while he already has a lover. He didn't want to make anything unfair on Sarah or even Madison if the girl chooses to go with Alan Grant or someone else.
"Yea sure."
"What about you and Madison?" Malcolm moves to ask the man, narrowing his eyes subconsciously at the tin man who smiled softly. Gazing up to the dark sky holding so many mysteries.
"I think of her as my sister, a little sister."
"I lost my parents at a young age and become the ultimate snobby billionaire many believe me to be, and they were right until I met Madison during her time on a mission to high-Jack one of my suits."
"A mutant in a room filled with machines? That's not a good idea." Malcolm laughs out loud while Kelly smiles widely. Feeling Ezra and Bumble snore lightly in her hands.
"Oh no it isn't, she fired a testing missile at me."
Malcolm and Kelly pales at the man's response, they didn't expect that and much to his expression. The man didn't seem bothered, mostly tired of sorts.
"It didn't work, it was a dummy for test fires." He adds.
"Guys, come on, we gotta move like now." Sarah tells the group, ushering them to their feet as she crouches down to Madison. Beginning to poke her cheek.
"What are you doing?"
"Ludlow wants Madison to transform into that creature from before as extra protect-" Sarah stops herself when Madison grabs the females hand, moving the cloth to reveal the girl gripping a small piece of paper you'd get from a camera. Eyes tiredly staring at her.
"No." Madison grumbles, letting go of Sarah and moving to get more comfortable. Taking hold of the paper once again.
"You've got to Maddy.." Sarah whispers, shaking the girl slowly.
"Wait, Malcolm can you stand up and turn to face the other way." Tony asks the man, watching the chaotician's face converse with confusion but turns around either way.
Crouching, the billionaire takes the girls picture. Opening her rucksack and slipping it inside one of the many pockets. Closing the bag, he wraps the jacket Madison used as a blanket, Malcolm's jacket much to her satisfaction as it draped her whole figure.
Once she was sorted, the man rests her head on the metal surface of his suit and the places his hands underneath her. Tony turns to the man who still had his back to them and helped the mainly tired girl onto his back. Her arms wrapping around the chaoticians neck and her legs wrapping around his waist.
In an act of surprise, the male's hands flies to the girls legs in order to hoist her up more and turn to Tony in confusion. "Why me?"
"One, you're tall, two, I'm covered in metal that can be uncomfortable." Tony tells him, packing the girls stuff before stopping at the round egg.
"What do you think this is from?" He asks curiously all the while Ian shuffled around so that it was okay with carrying the surprisingly light Madison. Although he will have to mentally pray for his back afterwards.
"Don't know, Madison has connections with many strange things." Ian tells him while Kelly takes Renee and slips all three cubs into her own bag she was seemingly eager to do so.
"Can I keep them dad?" Kelly asks her dad as the group began walking. Nick and Sarah were a few feet ahead with Dr Burke.
"If they don't tear up a couch, then sure."
