Chapter 13

JJ's POV Today is mine and Emma's 3 year anniversary so I'm planning something special. I got Jadeveon's girlfriend to take her out for the day so I could get everything ready. I was in the middle of making chicken when the doorbell rang. I wiped my hands off then went to open the door. "Hey dude!" I said when I saw Jadeveon standing there. "What're you doing here?" I asked as I let him in. "Well, your girl is out with my girl so I figured I'd come help you with your little thing you got goin on." He said and I smiled. "Well, ok!" I said. "So what can I do?" He asked as he followed me to the kitchen. "Um... There's not really much left to do. Gabbie should be back with Emma soon." I told him as I finished the chicken. "Dude your phones ringing." He said handing me my phone and I answered it. "Hey Gabbie." I said putting the phone up to my ear. "Hey. Emma is in the bathroom right now at the mall but she's starting to wonder why she's not with you on y'alls 3 year anniversary." She said and I chuckled. "Well I'm pretty much done so once she gets out of the bathroom you can bring her back." I told her. "Ok. She's coming. I gotta go. Bye." She said and hung up.

"Ok. Now I do need help. Can you pour this wine in these glasses then light those candles?" I asked handing Jadeveon the wine and 2 glasses and the lighter and he did. I got the plates fixed before setting them on the table. "Are you wearing that?" Jadeveon asked noticing my workout shorts and cutoff shirt. "Shit. If they get here before I get dressed, don't let Emma go in the kitchen." I said running up the stairs.

I was tucking in my plaid button up when I heard the door open. I quickly finished getting dressed then I fixed my hair and sprayed Emma's favorite cologne on me then made my way down stairs.

Emma's POVJadeveon and Gabbie just left so I set the bags down that I had got today when I heard someone at the bottom of the stairs and I looked up to see JJ smiling at me. "Hey gorgeous." He said walking over to me and wrapping his arms around me and kissing me. "Happy 3 years baby girl." He said as he grabbed my hand and led me to the kitchen. "JJ you didn't have to do this for me." I told him as he pulled my chair out for me. "I didn't have to, but I wanted to. You deserve it babe." He said kissing me on the cheek then sitting across from me.

We sat at the table and ate and talked then eventually made our way to the couch and watched Jaws. I was watching the movie cuddled up to JJ's chest when I heard him huff. "What's wrong babe?" I asked sitting up looking at him. "Absolutely nothing." He said and I looked at him weird. "I'm sitting on the couch, watching my favorite movie, with the most beautiful woman in the world, who just happened to say yes when I asked her to be my wife, and who just happens to be almost 9 months pregnant with my baby. How did I get so lucky?" He said and I was smiling from ear to ear.

JJ's POV Emma was leaning in to kiss me when all the sudden she grabbed her side and let out a scream. "Baby girl, what's wrong?" I asked panicking. "It's time." Was all she could get out. "Ok. Come on." I said helping her to the truck and getting her in before hurrying back in and grabbing the hospital bag that we've had packed for about 3 weeks. I ran back out to the truck and got in and started driving to the hospital. "Hang in there baby girl." I said as I pulled into the hospital and we went in.

"Hey TJ. Y'all gotta get to Houston right now." I said when my brother picked up the phone. "Why? What's going on?" He asked sounding worried. "Dude, my baby is on the way." I said feeling tears in my eyes. "Ok. We're all on the way." He said before hanging up. I put my phone back in my pocket and walked back into the room. "How you doin baby?" I asked sitting in the chair beside the bed. "A little better. Did you call my parents?" She asked. "I did. And I called Eathan and my family. Their all on their way." I said kissing her head. "Ok. Thank you baby." She said and I nodded with a smile

4 hours later"Babe. We're parents." I said with a tear running down my cheek as I stared at my new born son. "I can't believe it." Emma added. "Knock Knock!" We heard as the door opened and saw both of our families standing there. "Yes! It's a boy!" Eathan said and everyone chuckled. "So what's his name?" TJ asked. "Landon James Watt." Emma said with a smile. "That's a beautiful name. Can I hold him?" My mom asked. "Of course." Emma said handing our son over to my mom. "How we doing?" Emma's doctor asked as he walked into the room. "Great." She replied with a smile. "Well everything seems to be going perfectly so we'll get your discharge papers and get you home." He said walking out. "Alright we're all gonna head to yalls house." Eathan said and they left.

"Finally." I said as I pulled into the driveway of our house. I got out of the truck and walked to the back door to help Emma out then I got Lucas out and we walked inside. "Welcome home!" Everyone said as we walked in. "JJ me and TJ have a surprise for y'all!" Derek said as he disappeared into the kitchen then came back with a gift bag. "What is it?" I asked taking the bag from his hands. "Just open it." He said. I removed the tissue paper and chuckled when I saw what was in the bag. "What is it?" Emma asked so I pulled it out to show everyone the tiny "JJ Watt" jersey and everyone laughed. "Derek that is the cutest thing I've ever seen" Emma said taking it from my hands. "Hey! What about me?" I jokingly said. "Eh. You're ok." She said and everybody laughed. "Well I'm hungry." I said walking into the kitchen. "When are you not?" I heard Emma say. "What was that?" I asked. "Nothing." She said smiling and I chuckled.

"Baby. I still can't believe we're parents." Emma said as she laid in my arms later that night. "Me either. I love you so so much." I said as I sat up and kissed her lips. "I love you so so much too." She said. "Goodnight baby girl." I said as I pulled her closer to me. "Goodnight handsome." ~~~~~Hey y'all! I'm not dead! I'm so sorry it took me so long to update. I've just been so busy with sports and I haven't been able to find time to update!
