Chapter 12

A/N: the media is Eathan and Abby1 month laterEmma's POV Today is graduation at the University of Houston and I'm so exited because Eathan is getting awards for baseball and Abby is getting awards for softball. Both ours and Abby's families were here to watch along with JJ and I.

"Are you exited?" JJ asked as we walked in hand in hand. "Yeah but I'm also kinda sad." I replied. "Why are you sad?" He asked. "Because my little brother is graduating college!" I said and he smiled. We found our people and sat beside them talking until the ceremony started.

"Hello everyone. Thank you for coming today in support of our seniors. All of these students have worked extremely hard to get here." The dean of the school said before pausing then continuing. "First I want to recognize a senior on our softball team. This young lady has had the best batting average on the team all 4 years at this school. She has had more home runs this year and last year than everyone on the team combined. And she's just as phonominal on defense, making plays in center field that you normally would only see from Mike Trout or Andrew McCutchen and I am very honored to be presenting this award to Ms. Abbygail Hopper." He finished and everyone cheered as she accepted the award and shook his hand before going back to her seat on the stage.

"Next is a senior baseball player, who also has had the best batting average all 4 years of being at this school. In those years he has a combined total of 157 home runs, 492 hits, and 573 RBI's. On defense he is very compatible to Chipper Jones. He's saved 7 no hitters and 9 perfect games making plays that you would only see from Chipper. Now, I have one more thing to say to this young man, but I'm gonna do that with him standing right here beside me. So, I proudly present this award to Eathan Crawford." He said and Eathan got the award and stood there waiting in what else the dean had to say.

"Now, Eathan, this is pretty much unheard of and I'm waiting till now to tell you that way everyone can hear it. We've been getting calls from a very important person since the middle of your junior year. Eathan, we have gotten offers from the Houston Astros for you to go play for them." He said and I immediately started crying and so did Eathan. He squatted down and covered his mouth with his hands as tears ran down his cheeks. Abby came up behind him and he turned around wrapping her in a hug. Then out of nowhere AJ Hintch, the manager of the Astros, walks on stage with a hat and a jersey.

"Eathan, just like Dean Johnson said, this is pretty much unheard of, but there's no way I'm waiting until the draft. So, how would you like to become an Astro today?" Coach Hintch asked offering Eathan the hat and jersey which he of course accepted. He put the hat in his head and held up the jersey to the crowd showing the number 22 on the back and his last name.

After the ceremony ended we met Eathan and Abby outside and Eathan was still crying a little bit. I immediately wrapped him in a big hug. "I'm so proud of you!" I said and he squeezed me tight. Everyone hugged him then JJ took mine and Eathan's picture, which I of course was gonna post on Instagram. About that time Coach Hintch walks up to us. "How are y'all doing today?" He asked. "Great." We all said in unison "I know all of this was a big surprise, but Eathan is a phenomenal baseball player and one of the best that I've seen in a very long time at this level, and that's why I want him to play at the next level and eventually be standing at 3rd base at Minute Made Park. But, I can't just automatically bring him up to the majors. He'll have to work his way throw single, double, and triple A before he can get there, but there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that I'll be seeing him in my dugout in no time. Y'all have a great day." He said before walking away.

Eathan's POV I'm still in complete shock that I'm gonna be playing for the Astros.

I was looking on my phone when a notification popped up that Emma tagged me in a picture so I clicked on it. "So proud of my not so little little brother on not only graduating college today, but at the same time getting 'drafted' by the Astros. I can't wait to see what you become. I love you so much buddy! @eathancraw22" I read and it almost brought tears to my eyes again.

"Eathan, me and JJ are gonna go to the store. Do y'all wanna come?" Emma asked Abby and I and we both said no. Once they left me and Abby had the house to ourselves because both our families had already gone home. I got up off the couch and walked to the barstool where Abby was sitting and put my hands in her hips from behind and she laid her head back on my chest. "So, what do you wanna do? We've got the house to ourselves." I said against her neck. "I don't care." She said and right after she got it out I attached my lips to her neck making her moan. I turned her around on the stool before kissing her lips passionately. I wrapped her legs around my torso and carried her to the coach and laid her down all without breaking the kiss. Right when Abby pulled my shirt off, there was a knock at the door. "Fuck." I said before kissing Abby one more time and going to answer the door to see a girl in a sonic uniform standing there. "We didn't order any milkshakes." I said in a real jackass tone. "Um I know. I must be at the wrong address. I was looking for JJ. Do you happen to know where he lives?" She asked. "Why do you need JJ?" I asked her. "I was gonna see if he wanted to go out with me tonight. I gave him some milkshakes one day and I think I might have fell in love." She said and I couldn't contain my laughter. "You know... JJ has a fiancé... who is over 4 months pregnant... right?" I said in between laughs and the look on her face was priceless.

"Who are you?" I heard JJ ask as they walked up the stairs on the porch. "Oh that's the sonic waitress that has dirty dreams about you." Emma said. "Um, I'm starting to feel like I'm not wanted her, so I'm gonna leave." She said as she walked to her car and left and we went inside. "So, what did you mean by she has dirty dreams of JJ?" I asked Emma as we all sat in the living room. "One time JJ and I went to sonic and she was our waitress. She couldn't keep her eyes off of him and then all the sudden she goes 'I have very dirty dreams about you' and I mentally said 'bitch no' then she looked at me and goes 'so tell me, is he as good in bed as he is in my dreams?' and then JJ said we needed to leave so we left and yeah that's about it." She said and we were all dying laughing. "Wow. So what movie do y'all wanna watch?" I asked scrolling trough Netflix. "Ride Along!" Abby blurted out so that's what I chose. We all sat in the living room watching movies until about 3:09 in the morning. I love my family
