Chapter 4
07:33, 25 February 2025Suisei's energetic voice faded out as she end the stream, her fans filled the live chat with superchats and various supports.
With a final wave to the camera, she end the stream and let out a long, exhausted sigh. The bright lights dimmed around her as she stretch up.
Her manager congratulated her on yet another succesful stream again. His grin wide as usual.
"Good job, Suisei."
She leaned back on her chair, rubbing her tired eyes. "Thanks." Her voice now quiter than before. She glanced up to him and notice his lingering eyes on her.
"You're killing it lately, Sui-chan." He speak, walking closer to her. "Numbers are through the roof."
Somehow the good news didn't sound like one as she felt uneasy about the way he called her.
Suisei forced a smile, brushing a strand of hair beneath her ear. "Yeah...It's been going well lately."
Takehiru leaned against the wall, his gaze still fixed on her. "You know...you're kinda special, you're not only talented but a hardworking person."
She kept silence, trying to ignore him and all of his words. But she heard his footsteps as he take another step closer towards her.
"I mean it, Sui-chan." He paused as he placed his hand on her shoulder, sending shiver towards her spine. "You've got a lot more than most out there." His grin widen, "That's why I'm working so hard for you."
"Thank you, manager." She replied, trying to brush it off. "I appreciate it." Choosing her words carefully, in hope he doesn't get any further.
Suisei stood up from her chair, walk towards the door but Takehiru put his body on the way, preventing her to leave.
"You owe a lot to me, don't you think? I even helped you to move on from him." He speak as his gaze lingering towards her body, another grin formed in his lips. "Don't you think I deserve some sweet rewards?"
Her eyes widen in shock as his words reached her ears, she gulped trying to maintain her compusure.
"I can report you to the boss, Manager-san." She replied her voice firm but filled with fear.
Hearing that he laughed, a smug smile appeared. "You can do that." He paused, pulling his phone, showing her a picture of her and Y/N, far in the past. "It would be pretty funny, right? If your photos 'accidentally' got leaked."
Before Suisei could reply, he swiped his phone to the side, showing another picture, her and Takeshi. The one Y/N saw in Suisei's private account story.
Her heart sank as she saw the last picture, 'When did he take it? How can i didn't know?' She thought to herself as she look for an answer.
"You know the deal, right?" He speaks again, his wide grin didn't fade. "What would the Hoshiyomis think if their cute Sui-chan are like this?"
"No, no, no...!!!" She rushed towards him attempting to grab his phone, but she couldn't as the height of Takehiru are far from her. "Don't you dare!"
"It's up to you, it's your choice." He spoke, his voice mocked her. "I cannot take my eyes off from you, Sui-chan."
"I...I..." Her words couldn't be heard as tears slowly fall from her eyes, she crumbled on the floor, hopeless and weak.
Takehiru however satisfied by this, he knelt down wiping the tears from her face with the back of his hand.
"You pretty much know the consequences of it, if you decided to tell anybody, other hololive members, the staff, or even Tanigo-san" He whispered through her ears before leaving the room.
The room felt smaller with each passing seconds, the wall pressing on her as Takehiru's words still lingered in the air, her fist clinched yet her legs rooted in place.
The cold reality sinking in deeper with every minute, her tears had stopped but the ache in her heart remained. Her mind kept replaying Takehiru's words, her whole career in the palm of his hand.
'What should I do???'
'I've sacrificed everything for this, even him.'
She glanced at the door, half expecting him to barge back in again. Her heart race, thinking about what would happened if Takehiru leak her pictures.
Despite her had slowly forgetting Y/N after a month of trying, she still think of him first. What would he do if he saw the picture of her and Takehiru? What would Hoshiyomis think?
She tried to find an answer of this, but it all come to a dead end. Reporting him could back fire, Takehiru had too much influence on everybody.
Her mind flashed on Y/N and her memories of highschool, where time were much simpler.
She wanted to reached him again, but it felt so wrong...after ignoring him for years.
While Y/N on the other side, inside his dark and dull apartment are in the worst state of his life.
All of the framed pictures of him and suisei are shattered and broken, his apartment messed up as trash piled up.
He laid on the floor, a chair beside him and a teared rope next to his neck.
He check his phone that filled with notifications, unanswered calls and texts from his co-worker. But he didn't bother to even opened it, heck giving a reply to it.
"I've lost all the hopes I have." He speak, his voice dry. "Of what I thought colors would come into my life again."
It's been a whole month since the last time he leave his apartment, ever since he saw Suisei in a picture with someone else, it crushed his heart, more than anything.
Someone that brings color in his life back in high school, he thought that the same person would do the same again. But he was wrong. He's wrong to even hoped for it.
He slowly stand up, feeling the weight of his head from drinking pills and alcohol catching up to him.
"Another failed attempt..." His hoarse voice filled the apartment as he marked another date on his calender.
"I guess, I still wanted to live." He then walk towards the door and leave his apartment.
He wandered around the area, walking aimlessly without any purpose before stumbling into a convenience store and went inside.
He looked around aisle by aisle, wondering where did the liquids and instant food are.
But then he bumped into someone, a man in a sharp suit.
"Damn, I'm sorry man." Y/N quickly apologize, avoiding unnecessary problems.
The man in a sharp suit noticed his face, he looked familiar but where?
"Have we met somewhere before?" The man in suit asked, his voice curious.
"I think not." Y/N replied.
"You look familiar, but where do I saw you?"
Y/N looked more confuse than before, he never saw this man before, but why did he say the opposite?
"You must be mistaken me for someone else." Y/N replied before grabbing a bottle of whiskey, "Once again, sorry man. I need somewhere to go."
'He looked oddly familiar, I think I've saw him before.' Takehiru thought to himself as he watch Y/N leave the store.
'No, he cannot be him. There's no way someone like him are Suisei's past.'
Takehiru opened his phone, scrolling through the endless photos of Suisei that he captured. 'Well it doesn't matter, as now Suisei are in the palm of my hand.' He speak to himself, grinning widely as he made his way to the counter.
'If I wanted to make her completely mine, I'll need to ruin her past too.' He thought to himself as he started to dig Suisei's past life further.
Suisei, still in her streaming room sobbing as she think as hard as she can to find the solution and escape from Takehiru's grasp.
Her phone screen blurred by her tears that fall from her eyes. She scrolled through her contact, her fingers stopped when she saw Y/N's contact.
"Could we ever be the same again?" She spoke her voice filled the room.
She gathered her courage, is it really okay? After all this years that passed, what should she even say to him?
But as she about to finally press the call button, her fingers hesitated and instead hovered to Mikochi's contact, her close friend.
"Sui-chan! Nyahalloo!" Her usual energetic voice greeted Suisei, a sharp contrast from her current state. "Whats up?"
"Mikochi..." She replied, her voice low almost like a whisper.
Sakura Miko immediately knows Suisei at her lowest state, she panicked asking suisei what's going on over and over again.
"Hey! What's wrong?" She asked, her voice loud.
But instead of hearing an answer, Mikochi heard Suisei's crying louder than before.
