A few days later Lucy had left the compound for a few days she said she needed a break from all the chaos in the compound. She told everyone that she was leaving. Everyone except Athena. Lucy thought Athena wouldn't notice. Athena noticed. She noticed everything. It started at breakfast Athena was eating her food when she noticed Lucy wasn't here. "Has anyone seen Lucy?" All eyes flicked to Athena. "She uh— said she was going to see her family. Said she needed a break from the compound." Clint said. Athena nodded and continued eating.

"She's just like you Nat when she hears bad news. Eats and stays silent. Deadly silent." Clint whispered. "I know. I also thought Lucy would be the one who stayed for Athena. Guess I was wrong." Natasha replied. Half way through breakfast Nick Fury walked in. "Good morning Avengers! I have some bad news to share. Agent Lucy Jones will be transferring out of the Avengers Initiative. She's being placed in S.H.E.LD. Office in London." The words hit Athena hard but she didn't show it. She knew better. She kept her face stoic as she listened to Fury talk.

After breakfast Athena headed down to her room to shower and get ready for her day, however her mom had other ideas. Natasha slipped down the stairs behind her and grabbed her daughter's arm. Athena swung around and looked at her mom. "She left and she couldn't even tell me." Athena growled. "I know. I know. I also know that you're gonna go into the shower and have a good cry then you'll go into the training room and pound your fists into the punching bag for hours. I know that because it's what I do when I'm upset." Natasha said. "Yea...but mama I don't know what else to do. I get it she got transferred but she could have told me at the restaurant or on the ride back here. But no! She kept it a secret! She didn't want to tell me she would be leaving and that all that talk about futures was a bunch of bullshit!" Athen exclaimed.
