When Morgan woke up Bucky went to pick her up but she only cried more, and louder. Athena jumped up and took Morgan from Bucky. "My goddaughter has standards Barnes. Don't you? Yes you do." Athena cooed. "And she's cooing again." Bucky snorted. Athena didn't miss a beat when she kicked Bucky in the leg before walking back to the sofa again. "Damn! That hurt!" Bucky groaned rubbing his leg. "Worth it." Athena quipped as she sat down.

A few minutes later Pepper came back into the main room holding a sandwich and a bottle of water in her hands. She looked at Athena holding Morgan and sat down in a chair and began eating. "Aren't you gonna yell at her for kicking me while she held your daughter?" Bucky grumbled. Pepper paused eating and looked at Bucky. "No." With that Pepper continued eating her sandwich. Athena continued holding Morgan in her arms but repositioned her so she could look around. Morgan's wide eyes looked around the room in pure curiosity when they landed on Bucky she wrinkled her nose and sneezed. "And that's her way of telling you she's not a fan." Natasha snickered.

Once Pepper finished her lunch she took Morgan from Athena and returned to her seat. "Were you good for Athena?" Pepper cooed. Morgan cooed as if to say 'yes mommy I'm always good for my godmother.'  Just then in walked Tony. "What'd I miss?" "Nothing, just Morgan behaving for her godmother as always." Pepper replied with a smile. "Athena kicked me." Bucky stated. "He scared Morgan." Athena retorted. "You scared my daughter?" Tony asked raising an eyebrow. "I just picked her up..." Bucky muttered. "And she cried. So I took her and kicked him." Athena replied. "Then I see nothing wrong here. Athena was protecting her goddaughter. Don't pick her up again Barnes." Tony said.
