The Promise

Third-person POV

Tyler was shaking a bit.

His father stood behind him as he put his hand on Tyler's back.

"You seem a bit nervous." Chris said.

"I-I am. Yeah, I'm really nervous." Tyler said with a shaky voice.

Chris chuckled. "Ty, don't be nervous. You're about to marry someone who has been by your side almost all your life. This is the moment in life when you get to make your love for that person official and eternal. Josh is a wonderful guy. He's loved you forever and I'm sure he'll love you forever too."

Tyler smiled. "Josh is...special, Dad. He's the best thing that's ever walked into my life."

"So you're going to do me a favor and help me walk you down the aisle and up to the altar so you can marry the love of your life, Joshua. Can you help me do that?" 

Tyler nodded. "Yes dad. Help me down the aisle please."

Chris gave a pat on Tyler's back. "I just can't believe you're getting married here in this part of the forest. I've never been in here actually. I never knew how lovely it was in here. "

"This was my favorite spot to hang out with Josh when we were young. The tree we're getting married under is the same one we would always talk under and eat lunch sometimes under as well. We thought it would be a lovely spot for us to get married. I'm just so happy dad. Josh and I are making it official." Tyler said with tears in his eyes.

His father, also teary eyed, wiped Tyler's tears. "Aw no no, don't cry my boy. You'll make him happy and he'll make you happy. As long as both of you are happy with one another, nothing can ever change that." 

His father checked his watch. "Alright, it's time."

Tyler took a deep breath. "I'm ready."

His father stood to the right of him and they both walked to the end of the dirt aisle. Beside them on both sides were white chairs all lined up perfectly and all filled with family members and close friends. They turned around to see Tyler and his father. At the end of the aisle, at the altar, was Joshua waiting for Tyler.

They both walked down the aisle slowly, Tyler clinging to his father's arm as they passed under freshly blooming trees. The scene looked beautiful. It looked like out of a movie. 

Tyler could see out of the corner of his eyes that some people were smiling and awwing. Josh looked at Tyler approaching slowly and almost started to cry. 

"He looks beautiful." he thought.

Tyler couldn't help but smile. This was it. All of the happy moments with Joshua have led up to this very moment. He just couldn't believe it was finally happening.

Near the front of the rows were Tyler's family and Josh's family along with close friends like Brendon, Ryan, Melanie, Ashley, Jenna and a few others. 

After walking slowly up the aisle, they were nearing the altar and once they reached the row with Tyler's family, his father let go and went to sit next to his wife.

Tyler finally reached the altar and he was standing right in front of Josh.

"Hello." Josh said softly.

Tyler smiled. "Hi." he said back shyly. 

The Pastor began to speak.

  "Dearly Beloved, we are gathered together here in the presence of God and this company to join Joshua William Dun  and Tyler Robert Joseph in the holy bonds of matrimony."

Josh smiled at Tyler. His heart was beating fast. He knew Tyler's was beating faster. 

The pastor said some words until eventually reaching to the wedding vows.

"If therefore, it be your desire to be united in this holy bond, will you signify that fact by joining your right hands."

Tyler and Josh joined their right hands together.

The pastor turned to Joshua first. "Do you, Joshua Dun, take this man whose hand you now hold, to be your true and wedded spouse; and do you solemnly promise to love, cherish, honor and protect him: to forsake all others for his sake; to cleave unto him, and him only, until death shall part you?"

Josh looked at Tyler. "I always have and I always will. I do." 

The pastor turned to Tyler. "And do you, Tyler Joseph, take this man whose hand you now hold, to be your true and wedded spouse; and do you solemnly promise to love, cherish, honor and protect him: to forsake all others for his sake; to cleave unto him, and him only, until death shall part you?"

Tyler smiled at Josh. "I do." 

The pastor spoke.  "Joshua Dun, repeat after me: I, Joshua Dun, take Tyler Joseph to be my wedded husband . . to have and to hold.. from this day forward . . . for better, for worse . . . or richer, for poorer . . . in sickness and in health . . . till death do us part." 

Josh repeated it.

  "Tyler Joseph, repeat after me: I, Tyler Joseph, take Joshua Dun to be my wedded husband . . to have and to hold.. from this day forward . . . for better, for worse . . . or richer, for poorer . . . in sickness and in health . . . till death do us part."   the pastor said.

Tyler repeated it as well.

"May we have the exchange of rings?" the pastor asked.

Jenna got up and brought the rings forward.

Joshua gently grabbed one of the rings and put it on Tyler's ring finger. Tyler grabbed the other ring and placed it on Josh's ring finger. They were red from blushing.

 The pastor spoke once more. "And by all the power invested in me, I now pronounce you two Husband and Man. You may kiss the groom now." 

Josh leaned into to a smiling Tyler and place his hands on his hips and kissed Tyler as he put his arms around Josh.

Everyone in the audience got up and started clapping and cheering as red confetti started falling above them. 

Josh let go slowly first and placed his hand on Tyler's cheek.

"I love you so much my dear. We made it." 

Tyler giggled. "I love you so much more Josh. Finally, we are each other's forever."

Josh let out a cute laugh. "Yes yes Tyler. I've loved you for what seemed to have been a thousand years and I'll still love you for a thousand more." 

He leaned in and kissed Tyler once more.

They were now Tyler Dun-Joseph and Joshua Joseph-Dun.

The after party was a lot of fun. Everyone had a great time. At the end of the party was the slow-dance part and everyone made way for Tyler and Josh to slow-dance together under the lights strung around and under the moonlight as well.

They were both happy. They always were, with each other of course, but tonight they were especially happy.

Afterwards, Josh drove Tyler to a secluded resort for their honeymoon. It was one in northern Ohio and it in sight of a beach that overlooked Lake Erie.

Josh took Tyler in his arms, bridal style, along the beach. He was barefoot as his feet touched the wet sand and the waves crashed gently into his legs. He put Tyler down who was also barefoot into the sand and they both played around a bit with the water, splashing each other when a wave came to them. 

It was a bit cool that night but they didn't mind. The moon shined over them without a cloud in sight. They laughed and giggled as they played on the shore. Josh would every once in awhile grab Tyler and lift him up playfully and Tyler would laugh and hug Josh.

When they got tired, they went back to their room and Josh put Tyler down on the bed.

Tyler blushed as Josh got on top of him. Josh gave him that I wanna make love to you tonight smile and Tyler was all in for it.

Josh leaned in started to make out passionately with Tyler. He kept kissing him as he started to unbutton Tyler's suit and took it off. He started unbuttoning his as well and he threw it on the floor nearby. 

"You're finally mine, all mine Tyler." Josh said.

Josh went to Tyler's neck and started kissing it and biting it roughly. Tyler moaned at the feeling of this. He could feel his neck start to burn a little but he enjoyed it.

Josh looked as he saw it turning purple here and there. He rubbed his thumb over these marks. "Aw my sweet baby boy. You are so perfect."

Tyler chimed in. "Josh, I'm ready." 

Josh smiled at him. He knew what Tyler meant by that. "Alright Tyler. I'm ready too." 

Josh started kissing Tyler's chest and down his stomach until reaching his waist where Josh proceeded to take Tyler's pants off. He as well started undressing off his pants under they were both in their underwear.

Josh propped Tyler's legs over his shoulders as he took off Tyler's underwear. Josh grabbed his wallet nearby and pulled out a condom. He took his underwear off and slid in the condom on his member which was already hard. He applied lubricant to it and started teasing Tyler with it, rubbing it around Tyler's entrance.

Tyler moaned a little. "I'm ready for you Josh.

Josh smiled. "This is all yours my little prince."

He slowly inserted his member inside of Tyler who was grabbing the sheets on the bed. Tyler moaned at the feeling of this.

Josh proceeded to start slowly but then gradually starting going faster. He started to sweat a bit as Tyler looked at him. Tyler couldn't help but get harder as to see Josh's bare chest sweating in the light. He started giving himself a handjob adding to the pleasure.

Josh fucked Tyler roughly but when Tyler would moan too loudly, he would go gently to not hurt him too much. Tyler couldn't help it.

Tyler started to climax as he continued his handjob. "Josh...I'm going to come...oh Josh...Joshua....ugh...." Tyler came across his belly and moaned at this release.

Joshua came a few moments later. "Tyler...I'm coming now...I'm...oh Tyler..." 

The two were exhausted now. Josh took his member out of Tyler and took off the used condom and disposed it away in a trash can. Tyler cleaned himself up afterwards, as did Josh as well.

Tyler propped himself back into bed as Josh followed in nothing but his birthday suit. Josh grabbed the cover and pulled Tyler close next to him in bed. He wrapped his arms around him as they spooned one another. Josh's birthmark was glowing gently but not too bright.

Tyler smiled as Josh planted a kiss on Tyler's forehead.

"Tonight was wonderful." Tyler said quietly.

"I know Ty. It was magical." Josh said softly.

Tyler looked at Josh. "Josh we're married now,"

"Indeed we are Tyjo."

"We're really going to be together forever now, huh?" 

"Yep. I couldn't be anymore happy Ty. You're mine forever and ever." Josh giggled.

Tyler giggled too. "I guess marriage is like the one promise you can never break. I know for sure that I won't ever break this promise. You've moved my life into the right direction. Sure you might be an alien but you don't make it seem that way. You just live life to the fullest. You know, maybe that's what I love about you. You don't let things get to you or affect you. You just live life and make others happy."

Josh smiled. "I made you happy, Tyler. You were always at the top of my list of things that needed to be happy. Seeing you for the first time, sitting alone, broke my heart. I knew that the little boy who had no friends needed to be fixed up. I was determined to be someone who you could trust and see that I loved you for who you were. I didn't care if you were shy or nervous or scared. I wanted to make you happy. I still do. We might be married but I'm still going to do my best to keep you happy. Seeing you smile warms my heart. It did when I first met you."

Tyler blushed a little. "I know Josh. There's still going to be obstacles out there. I'm still going to be a little shy and maybe a little scared at times but I have you now, forever. I know you'll be there. You're the light in my life."

Josh kissed Tyler. "You're the light of my life too. We've had many wild adventures in the past. Heck, the prison was probably the wildest but through it all, we maintained in each other's hearts. Our families are together now and we may still have the same friends from high school but that's okay." 

He pulled Tyler closer to him. "I can promise you that as your husband, I will always be there for you by your side. We may not have many other friends still but we have each other now -forever."

They looked at each other one more time.

"And that is pretty good, I think." 

Tyler giggled. "Hey that's the same sentence you said to me when we first met, except for the husband part. I can't believe you remember it after all these years." 

 Josh gave Tyler one more kiss on the forehead. "Of course I do. I don't ever want to forget any moments we ever had together. I want to cherish them forever."

"Me too." Tyler said softly as he yawned.

"Goodnight Josh." 

"Goodnight my love."

Josh flicked off the light and turned to Tyler, putting his arms around him. They both closed their eyes and drifted to sleep.

Thank you for everything Tyler. Josh thought in his head before he and his newly wedded husband started to snore.

I have no words for this chapter. This story is coming to an end now. There will be one more chapter and then an epilogue. This story and it's first part Outlier were so much fun to write and I'm sad it's ending for real. I'll update on Sunday with the final two chapters. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter!
