Katie is a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent-and, more specifically, a S.H.I.E.L.D. experiment. Her life is messy and entirely crazy for someone so young, but that's what happens when you're raised by Nick Fury and become the honourable niece of a bunch of Avengers. Not to mention, she's the daughter of an Avenger... though she doesn't even know it yet.
