CHAPTER TWENTY

"Congratulations Ms. De Leon you have a healthy baby girl".

Baby Girl

A smile instantly appear on my lips,naisip ko agad si Thirdy and the name he called our baby the other night.

I think it's a beautiful name for our little angel. I smile as I watch her on screen. Dra. Medina moved the device on her hand,and showed  the baby on different angles. She's really pretty,parang gusto kong maiyak. I wish Thirdy's here with me pero kasi nainis ako sa kaniya kaya hindi ko siya sinama. He didn't know I was gonna come for a check up and to know the baby's gender.

"Huhuhu". I look at mom's direction when I heard her sobbed.

She's looking at the screen,wiping her tears.

"Mom". I called her,she immediately look at my direction.

"Yes?".

"Pfft why are even crying?".

"Kasi naman anak,I can't help it. Can you imagine it,....I won't say I'm proud of you eventually not but this is just something... joyful". Naiiyak niya pa ring sabi.

I hugged her and we watched the baby on the screen together.

"Dad?". Halos tumalon ako sa gulat when I saw daddy standing in front of the door.

"Is it done,how was it?". Nervousness is evident on his voice.

"It's fine dad,why are you even here". Hindi kasi siya sumama sa amin papunta.

"I'm too worried about you,and my apo".

"Dad it's just a check up,it's not like I'm gonna give birth na". Biro ko,he just sighed at ginulo ang buhok ko.

After that we decided to go to the mall to eat,gusto ko na sanang umuwi at tawagin si Thirdy,he hasn't called me or update me kanina pa. But I didn't bother kasi baka busy siya. He has training today,but I chose to let Davin come with him today kasi nga I'm annoyed sa kaniya kahapon.

"Dad,no! I want Thirdy to come with me if mamimili na!". I said as I kept on pulling dad to go out of the baby store.

"Bibili lang ako ng kaunti,saka I'm gonna buy unisex stuffs for the baby". He pushed. I didn't tell him that I already know the baby's gender,it's just me and mom.

"I said no! Daddy!".

I heard him sigh and nod.

Kumain kami sa isang fast food kahit ayaw ni Daddy at mommy but I insisted,I just crave for their chicken and fries.

"You know we can make that at home Beadel,diba?". Si mom

I took a bit of my chicken before answering.

"Ah yeah,but we don't have the same chief as  them". I reasoned out,mom just shook her head.

It's already 5:00 pm when we arrive at home,I was kinda hoping na Davin and Thirdy is in the house na but they weren't. I didn't bother again,I bet Thirdy's training was been extended. I sighed.

Dapat hindi ko na pinasama si Davin kay Thirdy today kasi baka hindi niya mabantayan or mahirap Siya sa pagbabantay but a part of me wants to think he deserves it naman,if ever nahirapan siya.

Hindi ko talaga gets kung bakit kumukulo lagi lang dugo ko kay Thirdy,I do love him,pero kapag andito na Siya sa harapan ko gusto ko siya laging nahirarapan. It's just my pregnancy who does all of those things kaya minsan nakokonsenya ako kapag hindi ko napigilan ang sarili ko.

I yawned,I'm so sleepy again.

And so I close my eyes,and rest my head on the couch.

Hindi ko na namalayan ang oras,I woke up and saw it was already 9:00 pm. Tumayo ako and went to the kitchen to see if Thirdy and Davin's home. I saw Ate Mela.

"Ate Mela,is Davin home?". I asked her.

"Wala pa nga Bea eh". Sagot naman niya.

Bigla akong nag-alala dahil sa sinabi ni Ate Mela,he didn't call me the whole day and it's already late pero wala pa rin sila. I started to overthink and I don't like it.

I went to my room and call Thirdy but he's not answering,I tried many times pero Wala pa rin at nakakainis na.

"Mom can we go to the Raven's?". I went to mom and asked her,her forehead creased.

"Huh? Why?".

"Mom Davin's not home yet and it's already late na". Kinabahan kong sabi.

Nagtaka ako when mom just smiled and shook her head,wait.. did I miss anything?

"Oh about that Mozzy already called and asked us if Davin can sleep to their house tonight. We said yes naman".

"What? And you didn't told me? Mamatay ako sa kaba mom". Inis kong sabi and marched to my room

And Thirdy? He didn't even bother to call me para ipaalam,Davin is still my son.

Inis akong bumaba at kumain sa kitchen,I crave sushi and fish fillet and I want Thirdy to get it for me pero naiinis pa rin ako sa pagkuha niya sa anak ko without my permission so titiisin ko nalang. Instead,I eat rice and fried fish.

Buong Gabi akong badtrip,kaya iniyak ko nalang ang inis ko kay Thirdy,I swear if I'll see him,I will cut his head.

"I really hate you". Bulong ko at inis na pinalo ang unan.

"Sana hindi ka makatulog".

"I miss you Davin huhuhu". Iyak ko,naiinis ako dahil sa naramdaman ko talaga.

Kinabukasan,I woke up extra happy. I cringe as I remember what I acted last night and now I feel happy?

Hindi naman siguro ako nababaliw diba?

As I was about to get up,the door suddenly opened revealing Thirdy with Davin. I smiled at him.

"Mommy!". Davin shouted and climb on the bed.

"Baby!". I spread my arms and wait for him.

He hugged me tightly and so I am. I missed him,I've already tried sleeping separately from him kaya it's not the first time but still,I missed him.

I look at Thirdy,I caught him staring at us. But when I captured his eyes,he looked away. I wanna asked him sana but my mood is too fine kaya instead I went down carrying Davin. So he went to us hurriedly,sa kabilang side kasi ako ng bed dumaan.

"Bea,what were you thinking?". Inis niyang tanong at kinuha sakin si Davin.

"Nothing,hmmm actually I want to make breakfast for us,so let's go na". I said at kumapit sa braso niya.

I saw confusion on his face but I couldn't care na kasi I'm excited to cook breakfast and my mood is just really something good today. We went down stairs and I  greet everyone. Nakangiti naman kaming pinagmasdan ni Ate Mela.

"Wow,the weather is fine today, isn't ?". I smiled at mom when I heard her said that.

"Yeah,it is!". Hyper kong sabi at nilingon ang langit.

And when I looked at mom, she's shaking her head. But I didn't bother.

"Let's eat mom,I cooked breakfast". I invited her.

"Hmm the weather is really,really fine today!". She exclaimed and sat down.

I feed Davin with some of his cereals. Thirdy on the other hand is silently wiping our son's mouth,pansin ko talagang tahimik lang siya. I better ask him later.

I went back to the kitchen to get the eggs when I forgot that the pan is still hot and I touched it.

"Ouch! The heck!". I shouted as I felt my hand burn.

I heard foot steps and as expected it's Thirdy. He immediately checked my hand.

Hindi siya nagsasalita,but he blow my hand and wash it with cold water. Binabad niya sa malamig na tubig ang kamay ko. I look at him,he's not looking at me,he's too focus on my hand.

"Hi Thirds". Nahihiya kong bati.

He just look at me and his eyes went back to my hand. I pouted,ayaw ba akong pansinin nito?

"Hello Thirdy". Mahina kong sabi pero hindi na niya ako nilingon.

I pouted again.

"I miss you baby". I said,I saw him stilled and he slowly look at me,I immediately look down to my belly.

"Tsk". I heard him utter.

I chuckle,and when I look up our eyes met. I pouted.

"Are you mad at me?". I ask, pouting.

His eyes went down to my lips,I saw him gulped.

"Stop doing that Bea,I might end up... sucking those". Nguso niya sa labi ko,nanlaki agad ang mga mata ko. Kinagat ko ang mga labi at nagyuko ng ulo.

After a while I heard him sigh and he hugged me. For like,weeks of hating and wanting him to suffer,ngayon ko lang naramdaman na mas gusto kong okay kami,yung hindi namin iniiwasan ang isa't-isa.

"So ano nga ang problema mo?". I asked,still in the hug.

I felt him sigh and again, before he tighten the hug.

"Wala naman". I didn't believe that,but I'll just let it pass baka he's not ready pa.

He said 'wala naman' but the way he hugged me says otherwise. Pero gaya ng sabi ko, I'll just pass it muna.

We went back to the dinning area together,and I saw my parents eyes darted on the both of us. Davin is now drinking water and playing with his ball.

Sa bahay agad ang diretso ko pagkatapos ng training,maaga akong nakauwi dahil ng nagwalk out si Coach. I sighed,I feel really bad about what happened. I look at Davin on the backseat playing. The idea of bringing a son on the training is not a good idea after all.

Bea could have just let ate Mela or others to look after Davin,but I can't say no to her,not when you can't predict her mood. Not when she's pregnant,and it feels like she wanted me to suffer all the time. I'm a bit nervous about what happened earlier kasi baka hindi ako makapasok sa team for European League ( EL). I wanna be there. Even though si Davin ang naging kapalit nun noon.

"Oh ang aga mo ata ngayon Thirdy?". Si mama,I just smiled at her and went inside.

"Lola". Bati ni Davin

"Wohh Davin! Apo! You're here come inside,come hug Lola baby". Hyper na bati njya,she didn't notice Davin earlier because of the door.

Agad siyang binuhat ni mom at dinala sa kitchen.

"Bong! Davin's here". I heard her shout.

Pagod akong umakyat sa kwarto ko. Naghilamos lang ako sa banyo at umupo sa kama. Hindi pa din ako maka- get over sa nangyari kanina. Nakakahiya kay Coach,ngayon lang ako pumalpak sa training ko e .

Ayokong sisihin si Bea,alam kong kailangan niya rin ako,pero hindi ko maiwasang isipin na abuso na siya. I know I should understand her cause she's pregnant,that just her pregnancy. Pero sobra na ata yun. May buhay din kasi ako bukod sa kanila,napapagod at nagagalit gaya niya.

Humiga ako sa kama at hindi ko namalayang nakatulog pala ako,and when I woke up it's already 10:00 pm. Bumangon ako at tiningnan ang phone ko,madaming missed calls from Bea at medyo natataranta ako ng maalala si Davin. Disoriented akong tumayo at bumaba. Wala ng tao sa baba kaya I went to mom's room when I  heard Davin crying,I know it's him.

And when I opened the door,I saw mom swaying Davin who's crying loudly. Agad akong pumasok.

"Ako na ma". She look at my direction.

"Ayaw tumahan". Aniya and handed Davin to me.

"Daddy!".sigaw ni Davin at tumahan ng Kunin ko.

"Yes bud shh,I'm here". Tuluyan na siyang tumahan.

"Sa kwarto ko nalang to ma". Imporma ko

"Sigurado ka ba?". Tanong niya at tumango naman ako.

Pagdating ko sa kwarto,I placed him on the bed. I started to make his milk. Buti nalang Bea brought a lot of milk kaya may naitimpla ako for Davin.

I also changed his clothes into pjs kaya mas komportable na siya. I let him drink his milk and after drinking he fell asleep. I lay next to him,I made sure I'm not that asleep so mabantayan ko siya.

I woke up,at 6:50. And when I look at Davin his already awake and looking around. I smiled,he looks like Bea when he does that pout. You're so cute anak.

"Good morning". Bati ko,he looked at my direction.

"Goo mooning daddy". Masaya niyang bati at niyakap ang leeg ko.

"Pwease mik". Cute niyang sabi. I kissed his forehead.

"Yeah sure,come up na it's daytime already bud". He nodded at nauna pang bumangon sakin.

"Come daddy!".

Yaya niya. I'm still laying and I pretended that I can't stand up.

"Ouch daddy can't go up,help me up bud".

"Daddy, can't up? Daddy not strong? Davin is! Sow don't worry,Davin will herp you ahhhh". Sigaw niya as he pulled me at his hardest. Natawa naman ako at kunwaring nadala sa hila niya.

"See". I laughed as he said that and showed me his muscles.

Hay naku,Wala na buo na ang araw ko.

Bumaba agad kami while he's still drinking his milk.

"Oh gising na pala ang baby namin,come eat ka na apo". Yaya ni mama pero umiling si Davin.

"Daddy,I want mommy na". Nguso niya kaya agad akong tumango.

At iyon nga maaga kaming pumunta sa mga De Leon. Hindi pa raw nagigising si Bea pero bago kami umakyat sa kwarto ni Bea binalaan muna ako ni Ate Mela.

"Thirds,wag mo masyadong pansinin nalang ha kasi badtrip yun kagabi kakahanap kay Davin,baka alam mo na".

Kaya naman hindi ko siya masyadong pinansin,may mga time kasi na mas gusto niyang hindi siya pinapansin rather than asking her what she needs. Dala rin siguro ng nangyari kahapon hindi ko nga Siya masyado papansinin.

Bumwelo muna ako bago buksan ang pinto.

"Daddy open na". Naiinip na sabi ni Davin.

"Right". And I open the door.

I saw Bea sitting on the bed,she looks like she's about to get up,gusto kong ngumiti when I saw her little baby bump. But I stopped myself

'Baby'

Bati ko sa isip dahil baka mainis na naman si Bea sakin. Nagtaka ako when she smiled at me and spread her arms to Davin,wow good mood?

Natataranta ako ng buhatin niya si Davin,natatakot lang akong mabigatan Siya o maipit ang bump niya. But instead if getting mad she just smile at me,for the first time after revealing that she's pregnant.

Good mood nga dahil nagluto pa siya. And she asked me if ano ang problema ko,sinabi kong wala dahil ayokong sabihin sa kaniyang natatakot akong di mapasama sa league. Ayokong dagdagan stress niya kaya nanahimik nalang ako.Well I guess,okay na naman kami? Bati na kami. Ipagdadasal ko nalang na maging ganto ang mood niya everyday. Parang nakalimutan ko tuloy ng nangyari kahapon.

We spend the day together since it's Saturday,and tomorrow's Sunday I had to do some lifts ups. 

"Bea what do you think of going to church tomorrow?". Tanong ko sa kaniya,she stopped flipping the magazine's page.

"Oum okay naman,we can bring Davin tomorrow". She said and I smiled.

"Okay,church tomorrow 5:00 pm ha". She nodded.

Nagulat ako ng buksan ko ang pinto ay parang may tinamaan,maaga akong pumunta dito sa gym para mas maaga akong matapos at makapagpahinga before going to church with Bea and kids.

Agad akong bumaba at tiningnan kung ano. Nanlaki ang mga mata ko when I saw a girl,napaupo sa semento.

"Miss sorry talaga hindi kasi kita nakita eh". Paumanhin ko at tinulungan siyang tumayo.

She look at me innocently.

"Hmm ayos lang". Sabi niya pinagpag ang leggings na itim.

"Sorry talaga ha". She looked at me again and swallowed as he stare went down on my body.

I cleared my throat,nahihiya naman niyang binalik ang tingin sakin at nag-iwas agad ng tingin.

"Sige miss mauuna na ako". Paalam ko pero pinigilan niya ako at hinawakan ang braso ko.

"Ako po pala si Biatrice". Natigilan ako,wow she has the same name as Bea.

Tipid akong ngumiti sa kaniya.

"I'm Thirdy". She smiled at widely.

"Hmm Thirdy,saan ang gym dito?". Tanong niya ulit.

I surveyed her and she's really wearing a work out clothes.

"I'm actually going there". Imporma ko.

"Woh great! Pwede ako sumama?" . Pa- cute niyang sabi.

Though she doesn't need to do that.

"Sure". Alanganin kong sabi.

"Yey!". I heard her cheered.

Agad kong kinuha ang mga gamit ko at naglakad na kami papunta sa gym,sinasadya kong mauna pero talagang sumasabay siya kaya I gave up. Hinayaan ko nalang siyang sumabay sakin.

And as we reach the gym,I saw Zolo. He's eyeing me and the girl kaya pinanlakihan ko siya ng mata.

"Kailan nga ulit manganganak si Bea,Thirds?". Mang-aasar niya ng lumapit ako sa kaniya.

"In 4 months,bakit?". Hindi ko pinansin ang pang-aasar niya.

"Ahh ang layo pa,ang ganda ng kasama mo kanina ah". Ayan na siya.

Hindi ko siya pinansin at nagsimula ng tumakbinsa treadmill.

"San mo yun nakilala Thirds?". Usisa niya

I stopped running and faced him.

"Hindi ko kilala yun,nagkabunggo lang kami sa parking lot at nagtanong siya kung nasaan ang gym and so dinala ko nalang siya dito,okay na?". Asar kong sabi.

"Sanaol nalang ta ani". Bulong niya

Umiling ako at nagsimula na ulit tumakbo, I did lifts. Pagod akong umupo at uminom ng tubig,nabaling ang paningin ko sa babaeng nakilala ko kanina. She's doing doing lifts also,kumunot ang noo ko ng may makitang mga lalaki sa gilid na sinisilip ang top ng babae. Talagang nakasunod ang mga ulo nila sa tuwing bababa ang babae para Kunin ang barbell at iaangat ito. Hindi ko na sana pagpansin pero naisip ko si Dani,si Bea,si mama what if mangyari din to  sa kanila? Anong kaya kong gawin?

Nagdesisyon akong puntahan ang mga lalaki at makiupo sa pwesto nila.

"Tang*na! Ang laki talaga ang future tol". Sabi nong isa,kaya kunot-noo ko siyang tiningnan.

"Saka yung ano din tol noh".

"Oh grabe".

Niyukom ko ang kamao at pinuntahan ang babae.

"Hey miss". Tawag ko sa kaniya.

Agad naman siyang tumigil sa pagbubuhat at nilingon ako, I think my mind is just playing tricks on me but I think I saw her blush. Pinagsawalang-bahala ko nalang ang naisip.

"Sinisilipan ka ng mga lalaki sa likod mo". Bulong ko,nanlaki ang mga mata niya at nilingon ang mga lalaki.

"Hi miss". One of the boys said and waved to her.

Nilingon niya at parang nag-iisip siya ng gagawin ng biglang niya akong yakapin,hindi ako makareact dahil sa gulat.

"Hon tapos ka na pala? Bat di mo sinabi sakin?". Aniya at kumapit sa leeg ko.

Naguguluhan ko siyang nilingon.

"Please sandali lang wag mo akong itulak,sakyan mo nalang para lubayan ako". Pagmamakaawa niya,and when I looked at the boys behind her,nagsipagtayuan na ang mga ito at nagsimula ng lumabas ng gym.

Bumalik sa babaeng nakakapit pa rin sakin ang paningin ko.

"Miss Wala na sila". I informed her.

Agad naman niyang inalis ang kamay at lumayo.

"Salamat Thirdy". She genuinely said

"It's fine..".

"Biatrice".

"Ah right Biatrice" . Napangiti ako ng maalala si Bea,I can't wait to go home.

I saw the girl blush again.

Pero tumalikod na ako,I did another round and decided to go home,hindj sumabay sakin si Zolo,may kotse daw kasi siyang dala.

Napaface palm nalang ako at agad na bibili ang mga gusto niya.

When I arrived,I saw her and her little baby bump on the coach sleeping. I kissed her forehead and tummy before going to Davin's play area.

"Daddy!". Sigaw niya.

I went to him and kissed his head.

"How was my boy?".

"I'm good,but a bit tired.....". At nga tanong na yun nauwi sa story telling.

Nagiging talkative na ang batang to kaya lagi akong naaliw. He's a great kid and I know in time he'll be a great man.
