"and that is the story of me and your mother"
"now, it's time for bed" kento added.
"but, mommy isn't home yet!" your eldest daughter said.
"mommy will be home any time soon" he said, tucking her in.
"daddy, when will uncle yuji visit?"
"when he's not too busy with his shop, princess" he smiled, looking at the younger girl.
kento started tucking them in, when he heard the sound of the front door opening.
unfortunately for him, his daughters heard it, too.
the moment they jumped out of their beds, kento sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose.
your eyes widened when you saw two blonde heads running towards you, hugging your legs.
"shizuko, fumiko... did you give daddy trouble again?"
"no" they giggled.
"such liars" kento chuckled.
"welcome home, my love" he added, kissing your lips softly.
the two girls run to him, waiting to get picked up.
"daddy, i want a kiss, too!"
"me too, daddy!"
you laughed softly as you watched your husband pick them up and kiss their cheeks— making them giggle.
he wasted no time to get them to bed, promising them pancakes for breakfast— something that had them falling asleep immediately.
and then his favorite time of the night came; tending to you and anything you needed.
kento's heart was always filled with happiness and love whenever he listened to you talk about your day.
or whenever he got to spend time with his daughters.
or when he got to hold the three of you in his arms— patiently waiting for his youngest daughter to be born into the world.
kento had zero complaints about how his life turned out.
how could he ever regret visiting the bakery the woman of his dreams owned, after a stressful day at work?
how could he when it turned into something so sweet?
