the day of your date with kento, your bakery was closed. you had decided to give yourself and yuji a much needed day off.

at seven o'clock sharp, your date was outside of your shop— waiting for you to come downstairs to him.

kento's breath got stuck in his throat when he saw you in your light blue floral dress, while you quickly made your way to him.

he felt as if an angel had fallen from the sky and landed right in front of him.

you were so breathtakingly beautiful, he couldn't find the right words to speak to you. he was a blushing and stuttering mess, like he was some teenager having a crush in high school.

even if he wasn't a teenager or in high school anymore, he, in fact, was having his first crush.

he was never the type to care about love. he always found it unimportant, and not something he was looking for.

growing up he was only focused on his studies, never bothering to look at girls the way they were looking at him.

he had rejected so many girls and women, because he wasn't looking for love. he never felt the need to add the missing piece.

that was before he met you.

now, standing next to you he felt so desperate to hold you and confess to you.

he was just getting to know you, but he couldn't stop his heart from overflowing with emotions he never experienced before.

yet, he kept quiet, not wanting to rush you into anything. he wasn't even sure if he was ready for such a step, anyway.

that day, kento took you to a cozy restaurant— and when you insisted on splitting the bill, he just held your hand down while giving his card to the waiter.

he walked with you along the shoreline, helping you sit on a bench as he kneeled in front of you to remove your heels.

he helped you put on your pink cardigan, before holding your hand to help you up. your shoes were hanging from his other hand, not letting you burden yourself with them.

when the night deepened, he walked you back home— standing in front of the bakery, just looking at you.

he placed a strand of hair behind your ear, before resting it on your cheek;

"thank you for going out with me"

"no need to thank me... i really liked it" you blushed.

"i don't want to sound too greedy, but..."

"can i take you to a second date, soon?"
