the day you visited him on his workplace and caused his colleagues to whisper about his 'sweet girlfriend', he decided of what to do next· and that was to ask you out.

he was standing some meters away from the bakery, trying to put his thoughts on an organized train. it was nearly closing hours and yuji had already left— leaving you alone.

he exhaled slowly, before pushing the door open. your apron and hat were discarded, while you were tidying up the tables.

"kento? i already closed the shelves... i don't have—"

"i came for you" he said, making you stop what you were doing.

"is everything alright?"

god, you were making it hard for him to even speak.

a blush tinted his cheeks a pretty shade of red, as he avoided your gaze.

"i just wanted to..."

he took a deep breath and walked closer, before his eyes met yours.

the way you were looking at him could make him melt. but he knew he had to ask first, before melting into a puddle of butterflies and fast heartbeats.

"basically..."

you tilted your head to the side, patiently waiting for the words to roll off his tongue.

"would you like to go out with me?"

he watched as your lips formed into an o shape and a blush crept up from your neck to your cheeks.

"i would love to...!"

he smiled softly, eyes locked on yours as he heard his heart in his ears.

kento had never felt such happiness before.
