Twenty years laterHiccup's POV

"Come on, toothless. The bewilderbeast is waiting for us. We need to get there now!" I said in dragonease. It was the only language I knew.

"I'm coming, I'm coming. Just slow down, okay!" He whined . All I've ever known was dragons. I have never in my entire life seen another one of my species in my life. When Cloudjumper brought me here, he named me Rider

I never found out why. I knew everything there was to know about dragons, but nothing about my own species. The king said that when I turned twenty (which was tomorrow) , that I would be crowned as the dragon prince. But only if I stayed for the last fifteen years. Which I did.

The Bewilderbeast had called me over a couple of minutes ago and I was on my way right now.

When I got there, I bowed and said," I am here, my king."

"Rider, I want you to learn how to fly. I know that you don't have wings, but make yourself a suit or something that will help you learn. Don't forget that tommorrow is your big day of crowning."

"I will do whatever pleases you, your majesty. I would never forget about tomorrow, sire."

"I'm glad to hear it."

I bowed again and then walked away. I already had something in mind for the suit.

After a few hours, I finally finished and went to test it. Toothless and I flew high above the clouds, and then I fell off his back and opened my flight suit. I closed my eyes, trying to get ready for the impact, but it never came.

I opened my eyes and saw that I was gliding through the air. My hands were puled out and I was flying next to Toothless. He gave me a gummy smile.

"WhoooHoooooo! This is amazing!" Then I saw that I was heading for a cliff " No longer amazing! Toothless! "

He flew towards me and pumped up his spikes to get to me faster. He caught up with me and catched me in his wings.

"That was amazing, bud! When we get home, we are going to show the king what we handled in one afternoon. I can't-"

I was cut off by someone speaking with someone else. But it wasn't dragonease. It was an other language.

I looked around the corner of a tree. It was another one of my species. My eyes widened and I almost gasped out loud.

Then it's eyes turned to me and I ducked back behind the tree. Great! It saw me!

Valka's POV

Stoick brought me on a fishing trip. We were building a campfire, when I heard a twig break. I looked at the tree and saw someone hiding behind it.

"Hello? What's your name?" I asked. He just backed away with fear in his eyes. His emerald green eyes. I would recocnise those eyes anywhere. I have looked at enough photos to know that it belonged to my son.

"Hiccup?"

He made a strange noise. Like the sound that a dragon makes.

I slowly came closer to him and he still backed away. I saw a scar on his chin just like the one Hiccup had before the dragon took him.

"Hiccup, it's alright. Just let me come near you and let me look at you."

Hiccup's POV

The creature came closer to me. It had long hair and green eyes.

"Hiccup?" It spoke a strange language. It came closer to me and I backed away.

"What are you? Who are you? Where did you from? Why are you here? Should I know you?" I spoke and she frowned and tried to come closer to me.

"Hiccup, it's alright. Just come here and let me look at you." She came closer and I backed away with fear.

Then I heard a twig break.

"Valka, who are you talking to? "

I tried to understand their language, but I only got a few words.

I tried to speak it.

"W-Who.....is....... H-Hiccup? Who...... a-are.......you........?

"Stoick get over here!" The creature said loudly.

I frowned and looked at the bigger creature with the deeper voice.

"I'm coming, Valka, I'm coming." It had a stack of wood in it's arms. As soon as it saw me, it dropped the wood.

"Good Odin...." it said in disbelief.

It also tried to get closer, but I ran towards Toothless.

"Wait!" It yelled. I didn't understand a single word it said.

"Why do you speak so strangely? Why are you trying to get closer to me? I don't understand any of this!" I yelled.

To them, it probably sounded like a roar. I jumped on toothless's back and flew off.
