Bewilderbeast's POV

It had been hours since Rider left and I was starting to get worried. He was always home at sunset, but now it was already dark. I heard Toothless flying into the nest.

I had my back faced to him. "Ahh, Rider. Did everything go smoothly? "

"I'm afraid not, your majesty. " it wasn't Rider's voice, it was toothless who spoke.

I turned around only to see that Rider wasn't on his back.

"Where is Rider?" I asked with a concerned voice.

"I don't know. He was talking to a couple of vikings and then they jumped him. He needs help! I volunteer to be in the search party. "

"There will be no search party. I will go and rescue him myself." "But, sire-"

"No buts, toothless. If the prince gets captured, only the king can tescue him. That is the dragon way. And we should always follow the dragon way."

I went out of the nest and into the ocean to go look for Rider. I had his scent and I followed it to the worst possible place ever. Berk. Poor Rider was taken by berkians.

They were probably torturing the poor boy.

Rider's POV

I woke up and I didn't know where I was. That is never a good place to be in the morning.

"Hello? Where am I?" Then I remembered what happened. There were vikings that jumped me and overpowered me.

"Ahh, I'm glad to see that the boy is awake" it was the creature named Valka.

I gave her a confused look as if to say that I didn't understand what she was saying.

"W-where..am I?"

"Oh! He speaks too!" Her eyes were wide and filled with the joy of the moment. I had heard enough of their conversations to almost talk fluently.

"Why did you bring me here? Where am I?"

"You are at Berk. We brought you here to make sure that dragons never disturb Berk again."

"You are wrong. The dragons I know would never kill vikings. They are to scared to even come near any viking tribe, let alone Berk."

"At least now we can be sure. How long have you lived at the dragon nest?"

"My whole life." "How long is that?"

"About twenty years. Tomorrow is the twentieth year anniversary and it is my crowning day. You have to let me go. If you dont, there will be big trouble. The king will be coming and trust me, you do not want to see him angry. "

"Why would the king come for a scrawny boy like you?"

"I am the dragon prince. If the prince is taken away, only the king can retrieve him. That is the dragon way." I said straightfaced.

"How are you a dragon prince if you aren't even a dragon?"

"I am more like a dragon than you think."

"How so?"

"I talk dragonease, I recently learned how to fly. Even If look like a human, I have the soul of a dragon."

She didn't say anything. I smiled knowing that I had won the conversation.

"How did you get into the dragon nest in the first place?"

"My friend, Cloudjumper, took me away from my village when I was a baby. He knew that I didn't fit in. He broke into our house while I was asleep and when I saw him, I smiled. I am more like a dragon than a viking. I am not a viking."

She looked at me for a moment and then, out of the blue, she said,"Hiccup.....?"

"Who?"

"Can it be? Could it really be you? My boy?"

I was heavily confused. "What are you talking about?"

She stood up and unlocked my cell. "Come."

I stood up and walked behind her. It was chaos outside. There was a dragon raid taking place. Since I was the dragon prince, every dragon knew me. I yelled,"STOP!!!"

All the dragons stopped. They roared and flew away. A monsterous nightmare came closer. Valka went completely crazy. She grabbed her axe and ran towards him. I lifted my hand before she got to close to the Nightmare. I took her axe and threw it away. The nightmare remained calm. I told him to tell the bewilderbeast where I was.

It flew off. "Why did you take my axe and throw it away?"

"If you hurt dragons, you will only mke the conflict worse. They won't hurt you if you don't hurt it."

She led me to some kind of house. I guessed that it belonged to Valka and her husband. She opend the door and led me to a room. I recocnised it almost immediately. It was my room. The one I had before Cloudjumper took me to the nest.

This was my old home. Valka and Stoick were my parents. No, they weren't. My parents would never kidnap me and put me into a cell.

I stormed out of the house and Valka followed.

"Hiccup-"

"Don't ever call me that! Do you take me for a fool?! I just met you and you are already taking me to your home. Don't you think I stayed away from berk for a reason? I don't want to come back home! I can't be a viking! I cannot kill dragons! Nothing can change my mind about that. So don't even try!"

It was the truth. I didn't come back, because I couldn't be what they wanted me to be. I couldn't be a killer like them. I didn't want to be reminded of what I would've turn into if Cloudjumper didn't take me away.

I ran longingly to she shore to wait for the bewilderbeast, but somebody held me back by the arm. I didn't want to have to stay for another minute. All I wanted was to go home.

The viking held me back and tried to get me to a cell. I fought back, but the guy was too strong and it was all in vain. They locked me up again and I just sat there, refusing to eat, sleep or speak. Valka came to my cell one nignt and said," we are trying to make you feel as comfortable as possible, but it is impossible if you don't tel us what you want."

A tear rolled down my cheek and I said," I want to go home and see my family again."

"We are your family. "

"You are nothing to me. I mean the dragons. I want to see the king again and I want to lay on my favourite spot again and look up at the stars. I want to soar through the wind like an eagle and feel free once again. I can't get that here."

"Can't you be a normal viking? Why don't you want to be human?"

"if I could choose what I wanted to be, I'd be a dragon. And the first island that I would put on fire would be berk. " I gave her a death stare.

She had a straight face and she had nothing left to say so she left. Good riddance!

They didn't disarm me, thank thor, because that meant that I still had my inferno with me. It also meant that I could melt the iron and get out of here.

I put up the flaming blade and started cutting through the iron. When I got out, I heard a roar. It could only be the king.
