JAERYEONG POV

"A Love Contract" Kihyun said

I frozed..

"This contract technically bounds our lives together. You'll notice a ring-like symbol on your index finger. That symbol symbolises our contract. If one partner dies, the other partner would know by noticing the disappearance of the symbol on the finger or, if the contract breaks then it disappears. Also, if a partner feels pain then the other would as well! It's pretty cool" Kihyun said

I looked at my finger and saw the brown, ring like symbol..

"Woah.." I said

I pinched myself on the cheek.

"Ow! Yah!" Kihyun growled as he rubbed his cheek

"No way! That's cool!" I said

I slapped my arm.

"YAH! Stop it!" Kihyun said

I ran to the kitchen and grabbed a knife.

"NO! PUT THAT DOWN! DON'T YOU DARE!" Kihyun warned

"Haha. I'm making food you pabo. You don't want to eat?" I asked

"Huh? Oh. Of course I want to eat" Kihyun said

"Okay then. I'm going to try making a new recipe so you can't blame me if I accidentally burn myself or cut my finger okay?" I said

"This woman.. You're doing this on purpose!!" Kihyun said

I laughed and placed down the knife.

I ran to Kihyun and hugged him.

"Kumawo Kihyun.. I'm very happy" I smiled

Kihyun pulled away from me and intertwined his hand with mine.

I blushed...

"If you're happy then I'm happy" Kihyun said

I chuckled and gazed at Kihyun.

"Well what now?" Kihyun asked

"I'm not sure.. Oh wait! I need to thank Yura for setting us up" I said taking out my phone

"I'll thank her for you. You go make me some food please. I'm hungry" Kihyun said as he took my phone

I sighed.

"Alright. Make sure she hears my thanks" I said

KIHYUN POV

I dialed the number and it picked up.

["Great timing Jaeryeong! I need to talk to--"]

"Yura, it's me" I said

["....What are you doing on Jaeryeong's phone?"]

"She wants to thank you for getting us back together" I said

["You sound like a couple even though you're not even a couple......... Right?"]

"Well... about that" I said

["WHAT?! YOU USED THAT FORBIDDEN CONTRACT?! ARE YOU CRAZ--"]

"Stop shouting. My eardrums are hurting" I complained

["Kihyun, you know what situation you're in don't you? You're the Next King. Many demons are after your head. They'll love to be in your position"]

"...I know" I said

["Yet you made this contract with Jaeryeong? What if you get injured? Badly injured? Jaeryeong will be sharing your pain as well"]

"I've consider it and made a choice. I'm going to protect Jaeryeong at all cost. I won't make her be in pain ever again" I vowed

["...You better. Otherwise you'll know what will happen"]

"...Neh" I said

["Negative stories aside, can I speak with Jaeryeong? I... have a favor to ask her"]

"A favor? What favor?" I asked

["It's a secret. Girls only"]

I scoffed.

"Aren't we BDFFs?" I said (BDFF = Best Demon Friends Forevaaaaaaaa)

["GIRLS. Only"]

"Tch. Fine. I'll hand it over to Jaeryeong" I said

I walked to the kitchen and saw a weird looking food on the table.

"What's that?" I asked

"Chicken Curry with rice" Jaeryeong smiled

"Well this is new" I said

"Of course. It's a new recipe. I told you" Jaeryeong said

"Right... Here. Yura wants to speak with you about a favor" I said

"What's it about?" Jaeryeong asked

"Apparently it's GIRLS only so I don't know" I said

"Haha. I see. Kumawo" Jaeryeong said as she took the phone

I sat down to eat the curry.

JAERYEONG POV

"Yobeoseyo?" I answered

["Oh Jaeryeong. I have a favor to ask"]

"Sure thing. What is it?" I asked

[....R-Remember how you said you would do me a favor?"]

"Oh.. Neh. Why? Do you have one right now?" I asked

["...Neh. I would like to know about your relationship with Minhyuk"]

Huh? Minhyuk?

"My relationship with him.. like right now?" I asked

["Everything"]

"Everything? Oh... well.. We've been bestfriends ever since childhood. We also dated for a few months until I ended our relationship--" I said

["And what about now?"]

"...I only see him as my bestfriend. As you know I like Kihyun.." I said

["And he likes you.."]

".....Neh.. But don't worry. I'll make sure to turn him down next time we meet. But why do you want to know about Minhyuk?" I asked

["..No reason in particular. I just.. been feeling strange lately.."]

"Oh right! I need to tell everyone about me and--" I said

["We all know you and Kihyun are lovey dovey so there's no need"]

"Mwo--" I blushed

["Anyways, kumawo See ya next time, Annyeong!"]

<BEEP...BEEP>

"What.. was that all about?" I said

"Jaeryeong! Hurry up otherwise I'll finish everything on the table!" Kihyun shouted

I ran to the table and gasped as most of the food has disappeared.

"YAH! YOU PIG DEMON!" I shouted

Kihyun choked on his food.

"M-Mwoh? Pig? Why did I get degraded to a Pig? That's like at the bottom of the hierarchy when really, I'm at the top! I'm the next King you know!" Kihyun said

"King or not, you need to hold back!" I said

Kihyun pouted.

I sighed.

"Geez, what am I gonna do with you?" I asked

I turned off the lights and laid in bed.

"Jaeryeong, do we have to go UNI tomorrow?" Kihyun asked

"In the afternoon, yes. Why?" I asked

"...I would like to visit Minhyuk. I want to apologise" Kihyun said

I stared at Kihyun and smiled.

"Sure thing. I need to tell him something myself anyways" I said

"What is it?" Kihyun asked

"I'm gonna reject his feelings and tell him that I love you" I smiled

"...Man, I feel bad for that guy" Kihyun said

"..I'm sure someone special will appear in his life soon" I said

"Hopefully" Kihyun said

I nodded.

"Let's get some sleep" Kihyun said

"Neh.." I said

I closed my eyes and slowly, drifted off into the darkness..

Kihyun and I headed to room 247.

"You ready?" I asked

Kihyun nodded.

I was about to knock onto the door until the doors opened.

I stared at the person in front of me..

"...Yura?" I said

"Seems like you have visitors Minhyuk. Talk to you after. Contact me" Yura said

"Neh.." Minhyuk said

Yura smiled then left the room..

I nervously walked in with Kihyun..

I wonder if Minhyuk's mad..

"So... You two are dating now?" Minhyuk asked

I frozed.

"How did you--" I said

"Yura explained everything to me. About everything" Minhyuk said

"....Oh.. I see" I said

"..Mianhe Jaeryeong. I'm at fault aren't I?" Minhyuk said

"N-No.. Don't blame yourself.. It was just.." I said

Minhyuk shook his head.

"I apologise for all the pain I've caused you. From now on, I'll accept you two as a couple however don't expect too much from me. I still love you Jaeryeong" Minhyuk said

"She's not the only one in this room you know?" Kihyun said

"Oh. Right. You were there too" Minhyuk said

"Guys.. please don't fight" I said

Kihyun sighed and bowed.

"Mianhe for injuring you. I really didn't mean to hurt you and if I did, you wouldn't even be alive" Kihyun said

"Well isn't that reassuring.. Thanks.." Minhyuk said

"No problem" Kihyun said

"...Well to be honest with you, I would have done the same thing.. so I apologise too, for my immature actions" Minhyuk said

"I see. That's good" Kihyun said

This atmosphere feels so heavy yet calm...

I'm not even sure if they're making up properly or not.

"If that's all you got to say then please leave. I would like to talk to Jaeryeong alone for awhile" Minhyuk said

Kihyun looked at Minhyuk suspiciously.

"We're only talking. I promise I won't do anything that she hates" Minhyuk said

Kihyun slowly left the room..

"So...?" I said

"Are you happy with Kihyun?" Minhyuk asked

"Oh.. Neh. I am" I said

"I see.. That's good. Um. Well.. I have something to tell you" Minhyuk said

"What is it?" I asked

Minhyuk looked hesitant..

"....Actually, nevermind. I'll tell you next time" Minhyuk said

I looked at Minhyuk strangely..

"Alright then.. Annyeong" I said

I walked out of the room and saw Yura waiting outside the room.

"You guys done?" Yura asked

"N-Neh.." I said

Why is she out here?

"I see. I sent Kihyun out already. He should be at the entrance downstairs. See you next time" Yura said as she entered Minhyuk's room

"Oh... Huh?" I said

What is this?

Why is Yura and Minhyuk.. Being so close?
