JAERYEONG POV

"Yoo Kihyun, or Krylne Astaroth is the 2nd Prince of the Demon Realm. He got engaged to Avery Ymenos, the princess in the neighbouring country, few centuries ago. Lady Avery always liked Sir Krylne however, Sir Krylne only saw her as his bestfriend" Delancey said

"Sorry but by '2nd Prince'... Does that mean..." I said

"Oh yes. Sir Krylne has an older brother. The 1st Prince, Kronos Astaroth" Delancey said

So.. he has a sibling..

"What is Kronos like?" I asked

"Sir Kronos.. was someone who was very cheerful and kind to everyone.. He was like an older brother to everyone.. But ever since the Queen passed away, he changed. He acts coldly and is merciless.. just like the King" Delancey said as she touched her eye patch

"I see... Is.. Kihyun like his mother?" I asked

"Yes. He resembles her alot. However, the Queen was more mature than he was" Delancey chuckled

"Hey, we were all childhood friends. The only difference is that.. us two.. got degraded for who we are. That's all" Wonho said

"Delancey.. Are you related to Krylne and Avery in a way?" I asked

Delancey paused..

"Y-Yeah.. In a way" Delancey answered

"How about Wonho?" I asked

"He's my childhood friend" Delancey said

...She seems to be hiding something..

Maybe she has a reason for it.

"Is there anything else you would like to ask?" Delancey asked

Wait a minute...

This is strange...

".....One more thing" I said

"What is it?" Delancey asked

"Why are you telling me all this? Yes, we're friends but we just met.. also.. I'm a human. Aren't you afraid.. that I might speak of this to another?" I asked

Delancey stared at me..

Of course I wouldn't speak of it but..

How can she trust me so easily?

Feeding me all this information.. It's strange..

"..I can definitely trust you. And you can definitely trust me. I'll just tell you that" Delancey said

"Anyways, I think you should rest. You can sleep on my bed" Delancey said

"What about you?" I asked

"I'm........ a demon remember?" Delancey said

"Oh.. right. I heard Demons don't sleep occasionally" I said

"I'll be back" Delancey said as she left the room

I heard the door being locked..

She seems to know alot about me..

She seems... familiar to me.. in a way

I don't know what it is.. I can't.. put my finger on it..

...Maybe I should rest..

I laid down on the bed and closed my eyes..

I slowly opened my eyes..

".....Who?" I said

My vision became clearer

I saw Avery in front of me.

"Wake up! Seriously, how long do you humans sleep for?!" Avery exclaimed

"5 more minutes.." I said

"5 more--ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" Avery scoffed

"Lady Avery, I'll take care of this. You should go to the meeting at the palace.." Delancey said

"Tch. Fine. Whatever. Watch her for me Delancey" Avery ordered

"Yes Lady Avery" Delancey bowed

Avery opened the door and slammed it.

I shot up from the bed.

"Thank god she's gone" I said

"U-Um.. please don't say that in this world" Delancey said

".....Say what?" I asked

"Thank... um.. you know.." Delancey said

"...Oh! Shoot. I shouldn't speak of Him down here right?" I asked

"Neh. That would be.. nice if you don't" Delancey said

I noticed a variety of bread buns on the table.

"What are those?" I asked

"They're our Demonian's Special Flavoured Buns. The best food anyone would wish for" Delancey said

"...So.. it's Demon food?" I said

Delancey nodded.

"B-But is it.. edible to me?" I asked

"Yes it is" Delancey smiled

I took one of it and smelled it.

........? No smell?

"What's in it?" I asked

"Nothing. It's only bread" Delancey said

"....Only bread?" I questioned

Delancey kept smiling.

"....Is there like a trick to this?" I asked

"Eat it and you'll understand" Delancey said

I sighed.

I wish I could eat like... curry or something..

I bit the bread bun.

My eyes widened..

This flavour..

"It's... curry?" I said

"Ooh. Did you wish for curry?" Delancey asked

"Wait? What?" I asked

"It's called Flavoured Bun because it has no flavour unless you wish it to be a flavour you want" Delancey said

"Woahhh! That's cool! So if I wish it to be chicken, will the next bite taste like chicken?" I asked

"U-Umm. Yeah" Delancey said

I took another bite.

I started to squeal.

"IT'S CHICKEEEENNNN" I smiled

Delancey laughed.

"Can I have the recipe for this?" I asked

"Oh no. You can't make these" Delancey said

"Ehh? Why not?" I asked

"It requires a strong amount of magic and Humans can't produce magic.. except some" Delancey said mumbling the last part

"Pardon?" I asked

"N-Nothing! Haha. Enjoy your breakfast. Excuse me as I need to go to the bathroom" Delancey bowed then opened the door

"Delancey" I said

"Yes?" Delancey answered

"You don't force yourself to be formal around me. Be yourself" I smiled

Delancey stared at me and smiled.

"Okay" Delancey said then closed the door, locking it

Delancey's such a nice girl..

I still wonder how she's related to Princess Avery and Kihyun though...

Maybe I can ask Wonho when he visits again..

I flinched..

Who's there?

"Delancey? Open up! Are you in there?"

"Oi human. Open the door" Avery said

"I have a name" I said

"......... What was it again?" Avery asked

"Jaeryeong! KWON JAERYEONG" I said

"Tch. Jaeryeong, open the door" Avery said

"What's the magic word?" I asked

"What are you? 5? OPEN UP!" Avery growled

"Sorry" I said as I opened the door

Avery glared at me.

I sighed and sat down, gobbling the bread.

Avery closed the door.

"So... Umm.. Why are you here?" I asked

"....I want to ask you about Krylne" Avery said

"....What about him?" I asked

"What did you do to him? Did you use magic on him? What kind of magic?" Avery asked

"Huh? I can't use magic. I'm a human" I said

"Well some humans can" Avery said

Some humans?

"A-Anyways, I can't use it.. Why?" I asked

"....Krylne never dared to contact me after our marriage got confirmed. However, today.. he did.." Avery said

"R-Really? That's nice... I wish I could talk to him as well" I smiled

"W-Well you can't! Cause Krylne's mine!" Avery said

"He doesn't belong to anyone" I said

"Oh yes he does. He's marrying me" Avery said

"That doesn't mean he's yours" I argued

"Hah! What are you trying to say? That he's yours?" Avery said

"Hey! You're not the one to decide who Kihyun belongs to!" I said

"Tch. Shut up human! You're just jealous because you're in love with him" Avery said

I frozed..

I opened my mouth to speak but no words could come out..

I bit my lip..

"Listen up. Demons and Humans are never meant to be" Avery said

"Why not?" I asked

"Tch... They can't be together! NEVER! EVER!" Avery shouted

"If they do get together, horrible consequences occur.. and their children have to suffer for it.." Avery said

"Eh? What do you mean?" I asked

I noticed Avery clenching her fists..

"Nothing. Anyways, have fun living cause you won't be alive for long! It has been confirmed that Kronos is going to execute you next week" Avery said

"Kronos?" I said

Kihyun's older brother?

"Oh right! You don't know? He's--" Avery said

"Kihyun's older brother.." I said

"Oh? So you do know. That's great. Anyways, he's going to kill you so--" Avery said

"He won't kill me" I said

"Huh? Yes he will" Avery said

"I won't die" I said

"Pfft. What? You won't die? Who's gonna save you?" Avery asked

"Kihyun--No. Krylne will save me" I said

"Tch. Keep blabbling human. He won't" Avery said then left the room

AVERY POV

I stomped back into my room and sat down on my sofa..

FLASHBACK

[Incoming Call! Incoming Call!]

"Oh who is it?" I said as I picked up

"Hello?" I answered

["Avery, we need to talk"]

My eyes widened..

That voice..

"Krylne?!" I gasped

I smiled.

He... called me?

"W-What's wrong? Is there anything you nee--" I asked

["Where's Jaeryeong?"]

I frozed..

"She's staying in Delancey's room. What? Do you want her back or someth--" I said

["Jaeryeong's safe right? Answer me"]

...What the hell?

"Y-Yes she is......." I said

["I see.. That's good.."]

I bit my lip..

"But she won't be for long" I said

["...What do you mean?"]

"What do I mean? That's a secret" I said

["Listen. I'm only going to give you one warning. No one is to injure Jaeryeong. You hear me?"]

"A-And what if they do?" I asked

["Then they won't live to see the next sunrise"]

What the hell? What's wrong with you Kihyun?

"W-Well too bad! She's gonna get killed next week" I shouted

["....................Repeat what you just said"]

Crap.. I'm blurting out too much information..

I clenched my fists.

You know what? WHO CARES! I'LL JUST TELL HIM.

"S-She's gonna be killed-No. EXECUTED okay?! It's already confirmed! Kronos is going to kill her and you can't do anything about--" I said then heard the phone hung up

"Huh?! HE HUNG UP ON ME?!" I exclaimed

I opened the message.

My eyes widened.

[You better have an army prepared because once I've restored my Demon Form, I'm coming to take her back with me]
