JAERYEONG POV

"What is it?" I asked

"It's cold outside. Come sleep inside your room" Kihyun said

"Eh.. Oh.. Okay" I said

I followed Kihyun who entered my room.

Kihyun took the blanket from the bed and laid it out on the floor.

"Here, you can sleep here" Kihyun said pointing to the blanket

"....Wow.. Okay then...." I said

Kihyun threw me my teddy bear.

"What's this for?" I asked

"Pillow" Kihyun said

"Woooow.... Okay then..." I said

I swear.. Why do I have to be the one suffering the consequences?

"Because I'm a demon and you're a human" Kihyun said

"Yeah yeah yeah.... WAIT. WHAT THE?! HOW DID YOU--CAN YOU READ MINDS?!" I exclaimed

"...Nope" Kihyun said

"Then.... how?" I asked

"We share a contact.. meaning we share the same minds, body and soul. I guess we can both tell whether we're injured or having a really strong emotion for another.. We can even tell if one of us dead" Kihyun said

"Woah.. That's.. kinda cool.." I said

"Sometimes, the Contractor's thoughts gets flowed into my mind like you just then" Kihyun said

"Huh? Just the Contractor's thoughts?" I asked

Kihyun nodded.

How unfair..

"It's not unfair. It's just how it is" Kihyun said

"STOP READING MY THOUGHTS!" I said

"Then stop thinking and go to sleep" Kihyun said plopping himself on my bed

I sighed.

"Yeah yeah" I said

I shutted my eyes and slowly.. drifted off to sleep

"Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!"

I reached out for the alarm clock..

I poked something squishy...

???

I opened my eyes and saw Kihyun's face in front of me

.....I realised the squishy thing I poked was his cheek..

"What... are you doing?" I asked

".....Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!" Kihyun sounded

"What the? Why are you my alarm? Where's mine?" I asked

"....I broked it" Kihyun said

"MWOH?!" I exclaimed

FLASHBACK (Kihyun POV)

<BEEP BEEP>

My eyes shot open.

I looked around.

What's that noise?!

I went to track where the noise was coming from and I saw a box with weird letters on it flashing.

I tapped it..

It's still beeping..

IT'S SO ANNOYING!

I tapped it again and again and again.

"GRRAAHH!!!" I shouted as I slammed my fist on it

It shattered in pieces..

Phew! The sound's gone..

Hmm? Wait a minute..

Oh crap..

"Hehe... Mianhe" Kihyun said

"D-DO YOU REMEMBER WHAT IT SAID ON THE CLOCK?!" I asked

"......I think.. it was... 7:30am?" Kihyun asked

"AHHH!!!!! I'M GONNA BE LATE AGAIN!!" I shouted as I rushed to the bathroom

"Y-Yah! Late for what?" Kihyun shouted from the outside

"UNI!" I said

"...Ohhh, was that today?" Kihyun asked

"NEH!" I said

"...Whoopsie~" Kihyun said

I sighed..

"Come on! Quickly! Get on the train!" I said pulling him on

We squished ourselves in the train..

Man.. it's sure crowded today..

I noticed a man staring at me..

W-What is it?

Why is he looking at me..

He looked up and down..

IS HE CHECKING ME OUT?! WTF?!

I looked away.

"What's wrong?" Kihyun asked

"N-Nothing" I said

....I feel uncomfortable..

Someone.. stop that man already..

Suddenly Kihyun slammed his arms on the wall, pinning me between him.

<DUGEUN>

"Y-Yah.. what are you--" I whispered

Kihyun glared at the man that was looking at me.

The man immediately looked away..

Kihyun looked back at me and smiled.

"It's safe now" Kihyun said as he went back to his original position

"Eh? Oh... umm.. Kamsahamnida" I thanked

"Kwenchana" Kihyun smiled

He did that... for me?

I blushed and looked out the window..

What's with me recently..

What.. is this feeling?

The train stopped.

"Our stop! We're getting off!" I said dragging Kihyun out

I took out my phone and checked the time.

8:50am?! 10 MINUTES LEFT!

But it's like 15 minutes away..

We'll never make it in time..

"Oh yes we will!" Kihyun said then suddenly carried me in his arms

"What are you doing?!" I asked as he ran behind a building

"Hold onto me tight unless you want to die" Kihyun said

"Wait! Why--" I asked

Kihyun suddenly jumped high in the sky..

W-WE'RE FLYING?!!

I screamed as I held onto him like no tomorrow.

"Shut up and stop screaming!!" Kihyun shouted

"I SCREAM IF I WANT TO!" I shouted then screamed again

"GEEZ WOMAN! MY EARS!" Kihyun shouted

Kihyun and I made it to class.

We both slumped onto our table and sighed..

"That... was scary.." I said

"But it was fun, don't you think?" Kihyun asked

"......Yeah, I guess" I smiled

"Oh yeah! Can you buy me one of those?" Kihyun asked as he pointed to my pocket

".....Oh! You mean this?" I asked as I took out my phone

"Yeah! I want one!" Kihyun said

"...Hmm, sure if you be good" I said

"Huh? Don't ask for the impossible. I can't be good. That's like against my demon DNA" Kihyun said

"SHHH! Don't say those things out loud!" I said as I restlessly looked around us

"Why not?" Kihyun asked

"Mwoh? What do you mean why not? Aren't you suppose to keep them as a secret?" I asked

"There was never a rule for that. Plus, I don't care if people find out I'm a demon" Kihyun said

"People will fear you! If they found out you're a demon, they'll be afraid of you and avoid you--" I said

"But you didn't do that" Kihyun said

I frozed.

"Well you did freak out but you never actually.. avoided me or said you were afraid of me" Kihyun said

"B-But that's because of the contract" I said

"........ So you're saying, without the contract... You'll avoid me and say you're afraid of me?" Kihyun asked

"M-Mwoh? I--" I said

"...Does that mean we can't be friends?" Kihyun asked

I felt a sting in my chest..

What... was that?

"......I see" Kihyun said

He stood up then headed out the door.

"K-Kihyun?" I called

I stood up and followed him.

"Kihyun! Where are you going?" I asked

"Home. I don't feel like going UNI today" Kihyun said

"M-Mwoh? You can't do that!" I said

"Well I just did" Kihyun said then disappeared..

I stopped in my tracks.

Kihyun...

Was what I said... hurtful to you?

I bit my lip..

What... do I do?

Why does my heart feel this way?

Why do I feel like.. I won't be able to see him again?

Thinking that.. makes me sad..
