Attack on Titan: Trainee Days - Part 6

Kiyomi's Pov

We were all in the lunchroom where most of the Trainees were sitting down eating and talking. But some went to bed after a bit. I mean after all, everyone did run  and jog the trail for three hours. Except me and Armin did an extra full hour before returning.

So of course me and Armin would be more tired than the others, especially Armin. Everyone made him carry two heavy bags over his back the whole time. I kept trying to carry at least one bag over mine, so Armin wouldn't have to endure so much pain so it could be split up amongst us two.

But each time I did,  I would get in trouble for it, and they told me they’d separate me from Armin if I tried to carry a bag for him.

I’m still pissed off at all the other Trainees and our instructor for this. I’m not going to be so nice to the others for a long while.

Except for Eren and the others who I actually know well. They didn’t do anything, but I saw from the look in their eyes that they wished they did something and Eren even came back for us.

But the others besides my friends…..I’ll glare and spit at them. (ok….maybe not spit. But glare)

When me and Armin arrived at a empty table, we collapsed.

Eren then joined us along with Mikasa, Reiner, Annie, Sasha, Bertolt, Connie, Marco, Jean, Mina, Thomas, Christa and Ymir.

But when they sat down they were asking a ton of questions. It was enough to cause me to pass out.

“K-Kiyomi! C'mon, wake up! Don’t pass out at the table! You and Armin at least have to eat something before sleeping!” Eren tried shaking me awake. I was dead tired.

“D-Did I….pass out?” I mumbled Groggily.

“Only for a moment.” Spoke up  Reiner.

“You poor things! Instructor Keith was even going to make you two go for another hour!” pitied Christa

“I think the others lost their wits.” I grumbles, mentioning about the other Trainees besides us.

There was silence before Christa broke it.

“You guys seem really tired and exhausted. I’ll get some food for you both. Just stay here and take it easy.”

Christa  got up from the table, and started heading over to where all the food was being given out by the lunch ladies.

Eren noticed Armin’s eyes slowly closing to sleep. “Hey, Armin! You should really eat before sleeping!” Eren gently gripped Armin lightly on the shoulder, waking him up.

Christa  comes back with food for both me and Armin. “Here you guys.” I began to eat as fast as I could. I was devouring the food! I was really hungry.

After eating, I laid my head down over my crossed arms and began to doze off and I fell to sleep. Literally sleep is all me and Armin wants right now.

“The poor things….” Christa pitied once more.

“Want me to carry her to her room?” offered Reiner.

“You’d do that?” Eren asked, astonished.

“Yeah, it’s no problem.” Reiner shrugs it off as if it was nothing.

Reiner begins to carry me over his shoulders. I wake up, confused by my surroundings.

“W-Where am I? Did I fall asleep…?”

“You don’t need to even bother. I’ll take you to your room. Your legs are too tired. It’s not a problem, really.” I heard Reiner's voice speak to me.

“Thanks Reiner.” I thanked him with a weak smile. I began dozing off and fell back into my slumber.

“Jean….you seem like you can carry someone. Can you please carry Armin to his room?” requested Eren.

“Dude….seriously?! Do you really think I’d carry someone for you? Why can’t you do it?!”

“Your bit taller than me….you look like you have the muscle. Unless…..you don’t care about Armin?”

Jean glanced over at Armin who fell asleep at the table. He doesn't have the strength just like I do, to take another long step. After staring for a moment, Jean sighed.

“Fine. I’ll carry him to his room.”

In the far distance everyone could have sworn they heard somebody say,

“Atta boy!”
