Attack on Titan: Trainee Days - Part 5

Kiyomi's Pov

Me and Armin continued to jog through the woods. We kept running and running. It was as if we thought the faster we ran, the quicker it’ll be over and done with. But we were told to do this for one more hour.  So this meant we’d have to do this for four hours straight…..without so much of a break. Our break only lasted 1 or 2 minutes talking to Instructor Keith, which honestly wasn't very long to begin with.

We were both huffing and puffing hard. Our feet couldn’t stop. Suddenly Armin falls over. I bend down besides him. “Armin! Are you ok?!!”

“I…...can’t run anymore…..” Armin gasped out.

I was beginning to feel really triggered but suddenly sadness my heart only had enough room for sadness. The anger vanished away.

Why are all the others being so heartless and cold to Armin? I understand that he could have upset them for having to do this trail longer, but still. It’s immature to just act like this.

“Armin…?”

I began to help him up, but he couldn’t really stand by himself. So I had him lean on me.

“....Let’s go back. We can’t do this any longer.” I decided. So we began to retrace our tracks back to the Training Camp. We were done. Even if it hasn’t been an hour, we won’t last for another in this heavy rain.

While we retraced our tracks we ran into Eren. He was worried sick about us. He also appeared angry at the fact all the other Tranies and our instructor tollerated this. So with Eren, we returned to the Trainee Camp.
