Attack on Titan: Trainee Days - Part 4
15:10, 21 October 2018Kiyomi's Pov
The sky was dark and cloudy, the rain was really, really hard as it pounced on us, trying to drag us all down while the wet and slippery grass would grab at our feet, trying to trip us. We we're running on what resembled a path,
but there wasn’t really much of a path to begin with.
We were just running on a trail in some large woods. But it didn't even look like a trail. There wasn’t a dirt path, it was more of a mud path if anything.
It’s been at least a hour now. Everyone was becoming quite exhausted. Everyone would glare at Armin every once in awhile.
One guy who was passing Armin up pushed Armin hard, and he fell down into the mud. He had two heavy bags weighing over his back.
“Armin! Are you ok?!” I asked him worriedly as I offered him a hand.
Armin stared at my hand for a moment and instead of taking it, he managed to stand up on his own.
“I-I’m fine…” he muttered.
I glared at all the others as they passed by us, weather they saw me glaring or not. What the heck are they doing, treating Armin this way?! It’s not even his fault! But these people are just stupid, immature Jerks.
I mean, they signed up for this, so why are they acting like spoiled, upset children who just does nothing but thing and hitting when they don't want something? Gosh... I’m really starting to can't stand some of these people.
“I wonder how long it’s been.” I mention, Wondering how long we started this jogging exercise in these woods. We are to keep this up for three full hours.
“....Only a half hour.” Armin answered. This was disappointing news.
“It’s only been a half hour?!!”
“Yeah….” Armin nods.
I sighed.
“Either way, it’s just a trail. We can do this, even if it’s in the rain!” I grabbed Armin’s hand and began charging ahead, and we began to catch up to the others.
Armin seemed to feel especially weak when running or jogging a trail in the rain. Well this is a bit harsh. I’m beginning to not be able to stand our instructor, Keith.
And especially the way he treated Armin…..it makes me mad just thinking about it. Grrrr! |:(
Soon me and Armin were managing to pass up some of the others because of my speed. But Armin has almost tripped several times, even though I held his hand.
I might be going a bit too fast for him. I began to slow down for him. I forgot, he wore not one, but two bags over his shoulders. He was carrying twice the cargo I was carrying.
We were all able to decide who would carry the bags. There could been two people each who carried the cargo….but everyone wanted Armin to carry. A lot of Armin’s friends, including me,and me, disagreed with this idea, but there were too many people against us, who wanted him to. So now he has to carry the cargo by himself. All two. Which both are really heavy. These people are just cruel and cold hearted….
“Armin….can I help you carry a bag, please?” I practically begged him. He shouldn't have to be the only one having to carry this weight.
“N-No Kiyomi, you’ll get in trouble.”
“Don’t worry, I won’t care.” After that, I took a bag off from Armin’s back and he seemed a little relieved once one bag was removed. It must been really heavy…
Some of the other Tranies noticed what I did and began fussing at me like fools.
“Hey! You're not suppose to be carrying the bag!!” I became greatly angry. No, pissed!! I raised my voice back at them in anger.
“OH my god!! What the heck is wrong with you people?! I’m not going to let him carry TWO heavy bags over his back, for crying out loud!! What’s wrong with you people?!!”
“You're not suppose to carry the bag!!!” they continued barking at me like a broken record. We're they not even human?!
“SHUT UP!!!” I barked back.
“Kiyomi….it’s ok. Please, I don’t want you getting into trouble.” I heard Armin say to me in a gentle voice, immediately melting my anger away.
Suddenly I felt the bag remove from my back and Armin was once again carrying the two bags, and the other Trainees started to ignore us.
Armin originally melted my anger, but seeing how now they were ignoring us since the bag was taken off me, pissed me off and anger boiled in me once more
How dare they. Did they lose their humanity? Why are they being so cold-hearted towards Armin, anyways?!
“Did you guys lose your sanity or something?!!”
They looked back at me.
“Kiyomi, please!!” Armin begged me to be quiet. I sighed in defeat, and the Trainees ignored us once more.
I wasn’t going to be nice to the others for a long time. Anyone can treat me like trash, but not to my family or friends. Especially to Armin. Absolutely not.

It’s been 3 hours now. Everyone was completely tired and exhausted. I was feeling so light headed.
Nobody was aloud to take any breaks. Not even to catch breath. But you were aloud to slow down. But if you did, you had to keep up the pace unless you wanted left behind…
Everyone had stopped in their tracks when we made it back to the training camp. Everyone was huffing and puffing, trying to keep their breath.
Armin looked like he was ready to fall over, he was so exhausted. He had to been the most exhausted from everyone else. After all, he did carry two heavy bags on his back.
“Armin Arlert.” I heard instructor Keith call Armin’s name as he approached.
“One more hour. We’ll all be waiting here at the camp for you. But we’ll be going inside.”
I couldn’t believe what I heard instructor Keith say. Did those words really just come out of his lips?! None of these people are human!!
“You don’t have to carry any more of these bags, but one more hour.”
“ME TOO!!” I shouted.
“K...Kiyomi, don’t.” Armin turned his attention to me.
“You want to go along? It’s still raining quite hard still. And you really don’t have to. You already ran for 3 hours. I hope you don’t think you’ll get rewarded for going the trail for one more hour.
“I don’t care about getting any rewards! Please let me go!” I begged.
Instructor Keith was silent for a moment and then he sighed.
“It’s your choice.”
So me and armin headed back into woods, and began running the trail for one more hour.
“Are you serious?!!!” Eren yeager approached instructor Keith. Eren did not look happy...but happy at all. He was looking at Keith the same way as if he was staring at a Titan.
“Yes, yeager? Is there a problem?”
“Heck, there's a problem!! Why are you making Armin go for another freaking hour?!! He carried two freaking bags for us, we’ve been at this for 3 hours straight!! Are you going to tell me, that your making Armin go for 4 hours?!!”
“Yes, exactly.”
Eren paused for a moment and then bit his teeth in pure anger. But immediately, Keith shoots a snarky remark at the boy.
“Keep your fangs where they belong, Yeager. If you want to go with them, go on ahead. It’s your choice. But nobody else. I don’t want to be missing more than three Trainee students.”
As instructor Keith walked away, along with the other Tranies, Eren growled and glared at all the others who turned their backs plainly on their fellow comrades.
