Chapter 6 - Interview with a sacreligeous fast Player
19:12, 31 October 2018Once the sun came up again in the morning, Brett and Eddy woke up and got breakfast together. Brett insisted on preparing the meal and made a small omelet for each of them. Breakfast was silent, Eddy browsing Instagram as his friend sipped on his hot coffee. After a while of not talking, the taller one opened the conversation.
“You know who's as hot as the coffee you're drinking?”
“Hm?”, he mumbled, still half asleep, slowly turning towards the other boy.
“Remember the first word?”, Eddy winked, taking the empty dishes off the table to the dishwasher.
Brett just faintly smiled and shook his head. “Man, it's too early for your cheesy pick-up lines.”

Later, the violinists went to their recording studio. Their video on Ben Lee, the "fastest violinist ever", had blown up both on views and on memes. Due to that, the one and only Ben Lee reached out to TwoSet to talk on Skype. The boys agreed, both thinking that it could make great video material if it went well.
While Eddy set up the camera and microphone recording material, Brett set up the computer and went online on Skype. He sent a message to Ben, telling him that they were ready to shoot. A couple of minutes later, he replied that he was on his computer, and after a short video introduction, TwoSet initiated the call.
“Hey! The one and only Ben Lee!” the true musicians exclaimed.
“Hello, TwoSetViolin!” the fraud replied.
“So, you saw our video on your interview, what do you have to say about your mythical phrase: "If you can play it slow, you can play it quickly"?” Eddy asked.
Ben scratched the back of his head and hesitated before answering, which made the YouTubers laugh.
“I might've been incomplete in that sentence.”, he started. “What I meant was that, if a piece is playable slowly... It is playable quickly. Whether it's meant to or not. As long as you practice, if you can play it slow, you can play it fast.”
Brett and Eddy stayed sceptical. They reluctantly nodded in agreement, without really agreeing. They seemed more confused than anything, really.

The rest of the filming went a lot better, with a few jokes here and there, and Ben Lee justifying every single one of his deeds in his interview on the BBC. At the end of the Skype call, the violinists made the violin/viola electric thing player make a promise:
“Alright, goodbye Ben”, Brett said. “Can you promise to stay sacreligeous for us?”
He let out a short laugh and let his terrifying smile show. “Promise I will. Bye, guys!”
And that marked the end of the "fastest violinist ever" TwoSet interview. The boys were satisfied with the material they got for the video.
During the afternoon, right after lunch, Brett and Eddy decided to hang out for a bit in a park. They sat down on a bench and just chatted, until the conversation let place to a sweet silence. They just sat there, looking at people pass. A few minutes later, Brett took his phone out because he had gotten a message. He started texting someone, eventually letting out amused, short sighs.
Eddy tried to look at his screen. “Who are you talking to?”
“Ah, just Ben. We were talking about the interview and stuff.”
The taller boy looked confused and asked for clarification. “What, you're friends now? Really?”
“Well..”
