Chapter 7

"Who's in there?" Vi says eying up the cabinet. She gets no response. Vi sighs reaching up to the door handle quickly opening it, She's met by two skinny legs in sweatpants, unable to see anything else. "You're caught, now who are you?" She says placing her hands on her hips. Jinx slowly peeks her eyes above her knees, Vi's eyes and mouth drop wide open. Tears fell from Jinx's eyes, "Don't hurt me." She says, staring at Vi.Vi shakes her head, "Powder, what are you doing here?" She says in a soft voice. Vi places her hand on Jinx's knee, Jinx tenses up, "Don't take me away." Vi sighs, "You killed councilors Powder. I'm not going to be the one to arrest you, but someone is." Jinx tries closing the cabinet door but Vi stops her. "When have you cared about the council? Oh wait it's that Enforcer you always walk with." She pushed herself out of the cabinet walking out of the kitchen. "You and her, trying to get me. I thought you loved me."Vi paused in shock, "I do love you Pow-" She's cut off, "Shut up! You don't care about me." Jinx walks over to the couch reaching behind it, she pulls out her pistol pointing it at Vi. "You tried to kill me." Vi looks in confusion, "When did I try to kill you?" Jinx shakes her head, "You told me to kill myself." Vi looks at Jinx, her mouth and eyes wide open. "When did I do that?" Jinx's face turns from anger to sadness, "You-you did." Her confidence began to deteriorate. Vi shakes her head, "No, Powder I've never said that and I'll never say that."Jinx let out a little chuckle though it wasn't because it was funny. "You, you..." Jinx dropped down onto her knees, the hands dropping two with the gun. As Vi approached Jinx she immediately pointed the pistol back at her, "Don't touch me." Vi backed up away from her, "You're gonna tell them I'm here, aren't you." Jinx stood up looking directly at Vi. Vi looked down at the ground, "Don't bother, I'm just gonna leave anyways."Vi sighed, "Powder I-" She was cut off, "Stop, I don't want to hear it." Jinx looked down at the ground feeling the carpet in between her toes, "I was trying to get better, Ekko was helping me. But you just ruin everything don't you." Jinx looked up at Vi, her face filled with sadness and anger. A tear fell down Vi's face before she turned and began walking out of the room, just as she was in the doorframe she turned to Jinx. "I love you too." Before leaving.Jinx stood there, her emotions all rushing in at once, Jinx fell to her knees crying, "Violet, comeback!" Placing her forearms on the ground she let her head hang as tears dripped down her face. "V-Violet?" She said looking up at the open door. Vi stood there, she walked over to Jinx wrapping Jinx on her arms, "I-I'm sorry." Jinx said, laying her head on Vi's shoulder. Rubbing the back of Jinx's head, "Everything is going to be ok.""Nothing is going to happen to you." Jinx grabbed onto Vi holding her tightly. "Are you sure?" Vi smiled, "Positive." Jinx pulled back, wiping away her tears, "I'm sorry." Vi places her hand softly on Jinx's cheek, "It's fine Pow-Pow." Jinx smiled hearing her old nickname.
