Chapter 4

Ekko yawned as the light shined in, as he went to stretch his arms he felt a warm feeling on his chest, as he opened his eyes he found Jinx curled up into him snuggling up to him. His eyes opened with his jaw dropped, as he tried to move without waking her Jinx slowly blinked her eyes waking up. "Morning." Ekko says, looking as Jinx sits up. She looks over at him and back at her arms no longer infested with Shimmer, "Morning." Ekko stands up walking towards the bathroom. "Hey," Jinx speaks up.Ekko turns to look at her as she sits on the bed. "Why?" Ekko shrugged, "Cause it's the right thing to do." He turned walking into the bathroom, closing the door behind him. Jinx sits there in silence before moving to get out of the bed, placing her feet on the carpet as she stands up walking out onto the small porch. Placing her forearms on the railing she looks out into the river. Jinx lets out a sigh rubbing her wrist feeling all the healed scars."I can't stay here, they might try to get me. I can't let Ekko fall under me." she says to herself, looking at the bathroom door and then back to the river, "Well maybe if they don't search here." Jinx places her hand against her forehead. "What do I do?" she said while walking back inside. Jinx looked at the closet and got a big smirk on her face. Climbing inside the closet she sat on the floor. "If he sees me naked, then it's only fair." After a couple minutes of waiting Jinx hears footsteps outside the closet, slowly peeking her head outside before her mouth dropped wide open. Getting one last look before closing the door. Her face was bright red, Ekko slipped on some Sweatpants and a Hoodie and he walked outside the bedroom looking for Jinx. Once he couldn't find her he walked back in the bedroom hearing panting from inside the closet.Ekko slowly opened the closet door, seeing a bright red Jinx sitting in the corner, "What are you doing?" Jinx looked over a at him, her eyes still wide open. "Um, nothing." He reached his hand out pulling Jinx out of the closet, he fell onto his bed laying flat as her legs hung off the side. "Um, you good?" He said sitting next to her, "Um, yeah. Everything is big and warm- I mean cool." See looked over at him smiling.Ekko had a confused look on his face as he nodded, "You want breakfast?" He said standing up. "Um, I'm fine." Ekko nodded, walking out of the bedroom. Jinx bit her lower lip as she thought about what she had just seen, no matter how much she tried it couldn't get out of her head. She placed both of her hands on her face pushing down before pushing herself up, standing and walking out of the room. She approached Ekko, her face still red, she placed her elbows on the little bar section separating the kitchen and living room. She was still biting her lip when Ekko turned around, "Oh, hey." He inspected her face, noticing the red. "Are you feeling well?" He asked, sitting down on a bar stool beside her. Jinx's eyes shot open, "Um, fine. Why." Ekko shrugs, "Your face is just really red, not sure if you had a fever."Jinx raised her hand covering her lower face, "Oh, I'm fine." Ekko began eating his breakfast as Jinx sat down next to him, "So, how's it been?" Jinx says, placing her hand down on the counter. Ekko shrugs, "Well, decent. Piltover hasn't attacked yet so that's a plus." Jinx rubbed the back of her head looking away, "Oh, yeah. Oops."
