Chapter 19: Chunnin Exams 1 Part II

Junko's POV

I sighed and shed waterfalls of anime tears as we barely passed the forest of death. I knew I shouldn't have bought "charm"! Because of that, everyone is attracted towards our direction and we have to fight every single one of them!! I sighed and limped towards the stage of the preliminary exams, that will be announced later of course. I gotta act like I'm surprised and angry too cuz I like too hehe.

Although I wonder how big did we affect in the actual world? Just adding 9 people at the supposedly fewer original characters can mess up the plot. What if someone like me or Akali or even Shun gets to be paired with Sasuke? If we fight him rather than Yoroi, then we might truly awaken the curse seal. I know Akali doesn't want that so.....

I sighed again. That's why I don't like thinking things over, it makes my head hurt. And I only have one golden brain cell on me, so I'm gonna preserve it hehe. I bet Akali's brain is golden! Cause she's really really smart!

Hm...I wonder about Shun though. I'm no fool, I can see that there's something going on with those two, Akali and Shun. It seems like they knew each other from the past life since they act......how should I put it? Hostile? Or maybe awkward? It's just that my point is that I don't completely know what's going on, but it's certainly not good for us. Specially since Shun didn't agree on alliance yet......

"...snap out of it Junko!! Bad....! You shouldn't be thinking like that...!"

I said and lightly tapped my head.

"........and since there are more participants who passed this round, we will have preliminaries."

"E-Eh?!"

"That's not fair!"

"Eep!"

I yelped as the complaints of the people beside me suddenly bursted, snapping me out from thinking.

"Aaah! I didn't hear what he said! I daydreamed too much!"

A light tap on my shoulder made me turn my head to my side as our little Midoriko nodded and looked at Yashichi.

Oh right.

The main reason why were here is because.....because we are tasked to spy on Hinata and if possible, take her to Kumo. In other words, kidnap. Abduct. Whatever floats your boat.

But of course I wouldn't kidnap Hinata! Anyone with the proper mind knows that she's vital for the future arcs and she's needed to keep Naruto from straying the wrong path and actually chasing Sakura and fighting Sasuke for her.

"Any one who wants to drop, raise your hand. We will start shortly after this."

Yashichi and Midoriko raised their hand, along with the others and.......Kabuto. One of Shun's teammate backed off too, along with the pretty boy from Akali's team.

"Juichiro what are you doing?!"

"I'm useless against a one on one fight Jhin-chan. You know that. I'll just bore the audience too so-"

"Is that what you really want Juichiro?"

Akali came in swift like a cold wind. She doesn't really have any emotion on her face since I can't see her eyes and she has little lower face movement but I was sure there was a teensy bit of care in her words.

My eyes sparkled as I watched two main plot like scenes unfold. Naruto asking Kabuto why he was quitting and Akali convincing her teammate to stay. I seriously need popcorn.

"But I-"

"You don't have to be scared Chiro! We'll be here, wouldn't we Akali?"

"Yeah. I'll obliterate anyone that harms one strand of your hair."

Just as she said that, a tab appeared before her that made me sweatdrop.

[Flirt successful.]

"Wow. She's a natural at being a flirt. Just like every word she says is romantic. Is that supposed to be a curse?"

I huffed when her "gaze" locked with mine and turned away. Hm.......I wonder who I'll fight? Probably one of Akali or Shun's teammates. Cause if not......

I'm gonna be dead meat. Specially against Gaara Sasuke Neji or Lee. Though I want to fight them too to showcase Akali's gift. I learned a really creepy but nonetheless strong technique that drastically improved my mastery of weapons, although it focuses on using a scythe as the main damage dealer.

And I'm confident of that technique, confident enough that I'll be able to Akali with this technique. I do hope lady luck is with me this time.

Ring~

Mhm. There it is again. Whenever I talk about luck, a soft chime of bells answer my statement as if it was talking to me. If it is, well too bad since I don't speak bell.

"Junko let's go up. They're gonna fight now."

Yashichi tapped my shoulder and I nodded, following him and Midoriko mindlessly and leaned on the railing, continuing to think about what the fuck do I do in case I fight someone strong.

"Hey. Nervous?"

I may have zoned out for a little bit since Shun was by my side and I didn't even sense him coming. Ugh I gotta stop focusing out!!

"Not really. How about your team?"

"Oh both of them dropped out of the competition."

"What? Why?"

"Well......."

Shun looked as if he was contemplating to say a secret. I smiled and made sure to lower my voice so no one can hear.

"The Suna Invasion?"

Shun has his onyx eyes wide as he put a finger to his lips.

"How did you know?"

"I know Naruto's plot. Why didn't you know??"

"I may......have only watched Naruto after Gaara got kidnapped by the Akatsuki..."

He looked apologetic and embarrassed.

"Well it's okay. Akali knows it too so no sweat. She's our leader after all."

"Thank you for accepting me even though there's no alliance yet. I just......I can't tell you who I am yet."

I looked at him with confusion. Ah, secrets of the past. I knew it. It must be deep if he has to hide it like this.

"So you have a past with Akali?"

"Yeah........I honestly don't know what she'll react if she knew who I was before this."

"Why not?"

I may have intentionally sounded a little naive to not notice the air, but since I can tell he's the kind of person who doesn't say no often, I'll get answers.

"I can't exactly explain how or why. All I know is that she knows my name, and I'm nervous whether she'll hate me for it."

"Why? What's your name? Can you at least give me that??"

"I suppose you could know. My name is Nathan Kim."

"Hm.....familiar name. You Korean??"

"Yep. Ail-I mean Akali is from Russia and I'm guessing you're from US?"

"You got that right. But how? Korea is pretty far from Russia if you ask me."

"I know a few languages. We also speak in English while in work so we could understand each other."

"Work?? You're a detective too?"

He nodded quietly, his eyes focused on Sasuke and Akado Yoroi's fight. Wait, it already started?!

"Yep. Remember a famous company called La Campanella?"

"La Kampanelya? What's that?"

Shun chuckled at my confusion.

"La Campanella is an agency that helps police forces all over the world. Just like FBI? But the difference is that we aren't composed of just detectives. There's also spies, investigators, even has their own set of security we call Crescendo."

"Hmm......sounds like a pretty big company. I wonder why I haven't heared of it?"

"Mainly because only a selective few knows it, namely the government and rich people."

Yoroi was now sucking off Sasuke's chakra and he looked like he was in a lot of pain and anger. I crossed my fingers. I hope he doesn't over do it to make him awaken the curse mark's second stage or worse.......

I was about to open my mouth to speak when I noticed Shun being quiet, so I looked at him to see that he wasn't looking at the stage at all, but at Akali who looked sternly at the fight.

His eyes was full of sadness and longing, regret and many other emotions I can't explain. He looked like he wanted to go over there and hug the heck out of her, so as her acting cupid, I spoke.

"Why don't you go over there? Report to Akali about the invasion."

I said as an excuse.

"But I thought she knows already?"

"Oh shit! I knew I shouldn't have said that! Now what do I- oh wait, I know!!"

"Well, us being here quite affects the plot. Maybe there's changes on the plan of invasion. Only she knows how to sniff out schemes like that so go talk to her."

I said and gave him a gentle nudge. He smiled and nodded, walking off towards the white haired detective.

My heart clenched. How delight. I wonder what heart clenching means? I bet it's heartburn. Definitely heartburn.

I looked at the two. Akali as usual looked like she had no interest, Shun looks like he's nervous and afraid, and honestly I don't blame him. Akali's intimidation skill is one thing but her presence scream royalty through and through. Imagine standing before an empress. You can basically feel her regal aura, as if you don't have the right to stand beside her at all. Did she also feel like this before she was reincarnated??

Though to my surprise Shun smiled, as if he felt nostalgia washing over him. Well that answers my question.

Then Shun laughed, Akali looking as if she was cringing hard and then shaking her head in disappointment. Shun looked like he's apologetic when he was leaning back and talking to Akali and she looked like she was scolding him to shut up. Ah look at that they look as if they knew each other for a long time.

Should I work as a match maker??

Ring

Should I take that as yes? Probably when I retire ninja work.

I looked back at the crowd and saw them applauding, Sasuke ended up winning after all. But he was took by Kakashi, like what happened in the plot. Hng......should I help them repel Orochimaru?

I looked at Akali who shook her head no. I nodded. I know Kakashi will be able to handle Orochimaru but I'm still having second thoughts. So I ducked and hid from plain sight, made a clone with the smallest bit of my chakra and sent it towards the room where Kakashi took Sasuke.

What I'm scared is that what if Orochimaru has a player with him? What if that player is evil? I just have to make sure.

Sure that was my plan, before Akali grabbed my clone that made it poof to smoke.

"What are you doing? I said don't do it."

She said and sat beside me, Shun following soon after and sitting beside her.

"What if Orochimaru has a player with him? They might over power Kakashi!"

"He wouldn't trust goons with him. Specially if he knows that person is a player, because that person might try and change the future. Don't act brash Junko. We might damage the plot even more than we already have."

Akali looked around and sighed, combing her hair with her fingers.

"That snake's chakra spiked and left. He didn't take Sasuke. Look, I'll explain everything once we get the one month break. For now, lay low and don't let anyone know we're players understood?"

Both of us nodded and watched her walk back to her team, the two red heads glaring at us before blocking her from our sight. Oh yeah, I threatened her earlier.......well whatever.

"I'm gonna go back to my team too. Good luck Junko."

"Thanks."

"Next fight, Junko Masayuki of the cloud vs Juichiro Mikan of the leaf. Come on down you two."

Third Person's POV

Junko jumped down from the seats and landed on the podium with a graceful flip, blowing a kiss to the audience as Juichiro came down with a smile.

"Ready? Go!"

As soon as they were allowed to fight each other, Junko pounced on Juichiro with a kunai in hand. Juichiro tried to dodge but failed as the kunai grazed his skin, tumbling down and luckily making Junko back away.

The said girl fished out a scroll from her back pocket, the scroll enlargening that it made her drop the scroll to the floor.

"Hm.......stick? Long sword? No no......claymore! Low attack damage......normal sword?? Eh too normal."

Juichiro frowned but stayed calm. He knew that the girl was underestimating him so he just have to use that to win this round. He exhaled and waited for the girl to finish choosing a weapon. Of course he has a plan, but it's currently in motion so he has to stall as long as possible.

".....how about a sickle? Oh a scythe! But that means using the cards...mmmmmmm.....? The cards it is then."

She said enthusiastically and smirked at the red haired boy as she kicked the scroll away from her path.

"You ready femboy? I'm gonna come at you~"

First thing on fighting, aggravate your opponent to make them loose their cool and make brash decisions. Sadly, Junko was getting through Juichiro's cool slowly.

"I don't wish for quarrel so please shut up."

He said that made Junko chuckle, throwing the cards on the air and surprisingly, each and every card was floating. Each shining blue purple or pink.

"Hey that's Akali's cards!!! Give it back ya old hag!!"

"Sit down and watch Jhin."

Akali said and sighed.

This piqued Suzaku's attention as his crystals were at the hands of someone he doesn't know. He was currently standing guard beside the Hokage and Raikage and the other sensesis were with their students.

"Let's see what you're made of."

Junko smiled, picking a Joker card from her floating hand making a big scythe appear from it's surface. The cards fell back to her hand and she flicked it away, just like how Akali did and motioned Juichiro to fight her.

As if blaring sirens were flashing in his head, Juichiro quickly dropped a smoke bomb to cover his whereabouts, instantly confusing the red haired girl.

"She didn't move.....this is my chance!!"

"Trap activation: Earth Snare!!"

"Trap activation: Vine Root!"

The smoke screen cleared just as he shouted those words, a mound of dirt suddenly swallowing Junko's feet and vines wrapping around her whole body. She struggled to escape and even dropped her scythe as she tried to wriggle her way out of Juichiro's traps.

"Surrender or this will hurt."

Juichiro surprisingly said with a cold voice, pointing a kunai to Junko's head.

"Yeah? So that's why you resorted to such underhanded technique. You knew you were weaker than me don't you?"

She smirked as she got her wanted expression from Juichiro's face.

"Hm....I wonder why I didn't get to fight your brother or Akali then? They would've been a better challenge-"

"Shut up!!!"

Even Suzaku was surprised when Juichiro plunged the cold blade onto the red haired girl's forehead. Everyone was silent until Junko's "body" poofed.

Instead of a girl, Juichiro jumped back with surprise when he found a clown and not his enemy on his traps.

The whole audience felt the chills as Junko appeared from behind him and pointed her scythe. Juichiro frowned and dropped another smoke bomb, successfully getting away from her grasp.

"Oh so you like underhanded techniques huh? I'll show you."

Junko said and scattered her cards above their heads, leaving one in front of her as she muttered.

"Mirror of Aphrodite."

She then swung her scythe to the floating card in front of her. The card wasn't sliced in half or broken, however, the whole head of the scythe was inside the card and just as the name suggests, the other cards mirrored the sharp blade of the scythe that tore Juichiro's flesh, his arm, leg and other places that weren't fatal was peirced.

"JUICHIRO!!AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!"

Jhin shouted and ran to his brother, glaring at Junko with all of his might.

"I declare Masayuki Junko of the cloud the winner! Now please stop this!"

Without second thoughts, Junko stopped her technique and climbed up the seats, not sparing a glance to Akali or Shun.

"Chiro Chiro!! Stay awake.....!"

Akali jumped down to their level and carried the bloody Juichiro on her arms, placing him gently on the stretcher.

"D-did I do good.....Akali??"

It was the first time he didn't add chan to her name so it surprised her. But she nonetheless answered.

"Yeah. I'm proud of you. I hope you don't have hard feelings on her."

Juichiro smiled and nodded, but Jhin on the hand was enraged to the point that he was scarily quiet. Akali shivered. Jhin being quiet is never a good sign.

Juichiro was finally taken away by the medics, both of us climbing back up just as Zaku and Shino's fight begins.

"I definitely don't want to cross you now."

Yashichi jokingly said but Junko wasn't having any of it. She knew she needed to apologize specially that she almost killed Akali's teammate. Just as she was about to focus onto the fight, she felt a shiver run down her spine. When she looked for the penetrating gaze, her blood froze.

The Kazekage AKA Orochimaru was looking at her with a creepy ass smile.

The fear in her heart blossomed like a thorned rose, piercing every vein, drying her throat and making her head blank.

Orochimaru is a monster at this time of the plot, and she's still weak. She doesn't want to have his attention.

She sighed and shook her head. As long as she was with her trusted team, she'll be fine.......right?

Although the crowd was cheering loudly at the intensity of the fight, the preliminaries are far from over. The next fighters are Shino and Zaku. He's a minion of Orochimaru that fought using holes in his arms that could create sound and wind. Unfortunately for him, this was also the fight where the audience learned just how capable and scary Shino could be. Being a member of the Aburame clan, Shino's body was essentially a giant nest for bugs that he could control. He tricked Zaku and ended up filling the holes in his arms with bugs during a distraction. When Zaku tried to use his ability, he ended up severely injuring himself and ending the fight in a win for Shino.

Following those two are Kankuro and a cannon fodder named Tsurugi. Kankuro is the first fighter from the Village Hidden in the Sand, and goes against another forgettable ninja from Konoha. He seems to be in trouble at the beginning of the fight when Tsurugi coils around him like a snake, but he quickly turns the tables. It's revealed that he is a puppet master, and the body that Tsurugi had attacked was actually a puppet. This allowed him to easily counter and decisively win the match.

"Wow. It's so hard to be a commentator of a fight in my head.....it must be harder for the actual people who talk about it......"

"You saying something Junko?"

"Nah don't mind me."

I was disappointed when Ino and Sakura's fight was next. I mean don't get me wrong, I don't hate them. I personally think that this fight was their biggest character development, specially for Ino since she fought with deception and the perfect plan, too bad they weren't ready. The audience was confused on who to side too, and since I'm pretty far away, I didn't get to hear the back story talk clearly. Both ended up knocking each other out and well, both lost.

Now I was just plain sad about this one. This was the second fight where both characters were important, but it was also one of the most one-sided fights in the entire Chunin Exam. Tenten showed off her massive array of weapons and the ability to send a flurry of them towards her enemy. Unfortunately, Temari was the perfect counter against her. Temari's large fan and control over wind meant that Tenten couldn't land so much as a scratch on her. After toying with Tenten for a bit, Temari easily took the victory. Tenten had so much potential and yet she was downed like this? I seriously need an arc for her.

Shikamaru though........he totally showed the audience how smart he is and decieved Kin Tsuchi at their match so Shikamaru won with flying colors. Though her genjutsu was smart, she was outsmarted by the genius.

I sighed. I wonder when Akali and Shun will fight? Oh wait! That kid's brother.......oh shit.

"Shun Ayakashi of the sand vs Jhin Mikan of the leaf. Come on down!"

The kid's eyes were hooded when he walked down to the stage, Shun wasn't fazed by this however. Shun's level is 50 like mine, but Akali's teammate is only level 20......

"I hope he goes easy on him."

I really have no right to say that. After I tore one of her teammates to shreds, I don't think she'll forgive me easily.

"Start!"

The red head dashed at him with red chakra bulls covering both of his fists, Shun dodged his blows, some landing on the walls behind him and holy angels it left craters. His eyes are emitting red lights!!

"He looks somewhat a berserker...."

I subconsciously muttered to myself and was surprised when Shun wove hand signs too fast for my eyes to see and suddenly, a blast of bright light was seen throughout the stage. When the light died down, Shun's left hand was wrapped with a golden gauntlet, a ray of sunshine that was shaped like a small bow frame resting on his palms.

He didn't hesitate for a second, immediately pulling on a golden string that launched the ray of sunlight towards the red head. He didn't have the time to dodge because the light was faster than him, and it dealt a lot of damage too so the red head staggered back and held his stomach in pain.

"That's sunlight right? From what clan is he? No one is able to bend light!!"

"I heard Shun-kun practiced on the raging sunlight in the desserts of Suna that's why he was able to do that! Shun-kun is sooooo amazing~!"

"Logically speaking, he should've been cut into half but then again, I'm not the logical one."

Ring ring ring ring!

"You laughin little bell?"

I smiled and watched as both fought blow after blow, that was until I was bothered by the sound of bells yet again.

"Not so little now, aren't I?"

A velvety deep womanly sexy fucking voice was heard behind me so as any human would, I turned back and I wasn't disappointed.

Behind me was a woman of class, wearing an orange red and white gown that hugged her curves perfectly, she strutted forward, every movement graceful. Her black hair stood out because of it's beautiful darkness and a fox was wrapped around her? Kurama might be offended.

She took a puff of smoke from her thin pipe and stood beside me, shining amber colored eyes looking down at the fight.

"W-who-"

"Hush darling. Only you can see my form. Let's talk on your mind, shall we?"

She winked and smiled, staring directly at Shun who seemed to notice her appearance.

"A child of Apollo. How lovely. Do you know him?"

"H-hai! He's an ally......"

"I see. Do you recognize who am I?"

She asked. I really have no idea who she is. I can't observe her either. She doesn't have stats, she isn't seen by normal people, is she a spirit or something?

"I guess you could call me that. My name is Luck. Lady Luck. Ring a bell?"

"Pfft! HAHAHHAHAHA ring a bell! That's so funny....."

Wait what?!

"Mhm~ I was quite intrigued when a human was called Miss Fortune so I came down here to observe you. I must say I'm impressed. The amount of my power in your points is enough to make people around you have bad luck."

She said and chuckled, pointing her pipe towards a familiar face.

"However, the glutton has corrupted that one over there."

"Glutton? Corrupted?? Akali looks fine!"

She hummed and took a puff of smoke from her pipe.

"Her mind darling. The shark god is an entity who isn't just a brainless predator, he's cunning and dangerous. I don't see why your friend completely agreed on taking him as her sponsor. He will take over her mind if you don't do anything about it."

Her whole body then changed into a ball of orange light, shrinking and coming to my ears as a........bell earing?

"I need to know why this occurrence is happening. A God like him wouldn't just sit down and settle for a commitment without a reason."

"Okay. I'll go talk to her."

I said and walked past multiple people, completely ignoring the fight that ensued.

"Junko. I'm assuming you have your own God now?"

Was the first thing she asked after I reached her. She knows?

"The shark must've warned her. Let's enter her mind shall we?"

I looked worriedly at Akali.

"Don't worry. I'm used to people entering my brain."

She said as a reassurance but it doesn't feel reassuring at all. I nodded and instantly I was inside a dark room, water was reaching on my ankle and everything else was a void.

"Where-"

"You don't want to go there."

Akali said and pulled me to her side, and I instantly felt shivers run down my spine.

I have never seen her so angry before. She isn't wearing her blindfold here, and her beautiful eyes are clearly showing fury and disgust.

"Akali don't worry! Lady Luck is here to just check on you! She said you were in trouble."

I said and held her shoulders tight. She's currently blocking me from the two gods that stood before us.

"Hello Shark face. Fancy seeing you actually choosing someone rather than picking a random delinquent."

Lady Luck's tone was taunting, clearly hostile towards Akali's God who just bared his sharp teeth in a smile.

"You're as boring as ever Luck. Why don't you go gamble with your ladies huh?"

"Hmph. How unfortunate for your sponsee. She has to deal with your obnoxious face every day."

"U-um...."

I said to somehow break the tension between them. I don't think it'll be good for Akali if they suddenly decided to fight in her mind.

"Can someone please explain me what's happening? Why are the both of you here in the human world....."

"I'm afraid I can't tell you yet darling. But for three of us to go here before the certain date we were supposed to is all because of this...excuse for a God."

Akali rolled her eyes.

"So why are the both of you in here? What do you want?"

The blue haired man asked. Come to think of it, he was the one with Akali when I talked to her! So he was a God.......

"Lady Luck said you-"

"Nevermind what I said darling. Your friend's mind is already tainted. See this?"

She said and stick her hand outside the circle we were in, taking it back quickly, and with her is a ball of black substance. It looked like smoke, but it was sticking on her hand just like how venom latches on to Eddie Brock.

"Outside this only lit place in her mind, everything is despair, anguish and hate. Memories of her past that's darker than black itself. My concern now is that how did you survive inside her mind?"

"I'm a God. This is nothing compared to anything else."

Akali gave her God a smirk, as if she was reminding him of something grim.

"Let's not talk about this right now. We'll have a meeting after this so make sure all of you are there."

She said before forcefully kicking us out of her mind.

"Oh sh-"

Before I even fall because of dizziness, Akali caught my arm and balanced me properly. Ugh. It's just like having an out of body experience with a hangover.

The frown never left my face as I saw Akali with her blindfold back on. How am I gonna read the atmosphere now when she's not even readable? But amazingly enough, her eyes expressed so much meaning when they were exposed. Is that why she hid them?

"What's with that look? Did I offend you?"

She asked with a frown. I quickly shook my head, resulting the bells on my ears to ring.

"Oh Lady L! Are you dizzy??"

"Not quite darling. Don't mind me."

I sighed in relief, only to feel fingers touching my ears. I flinched as natural reflex but I quickly calmed down when I realized it was only Akali.

"Increases charm huh? I don't see the need of this. You're already alluring as is."

My face instantly heated up as she fiddled with the ribbons that held the earing.

"Ahaha~ look at you. You're friends with the smoothest slicks I know."

[Flirt successful. Please stop.]

Akali sweatdropped and removed her fingers from my ears. She then pinched my cheeks so hard that it turned red.

"Stop being flustered with my words. You have a charmed sign on your head again."

"O-okay okay staph!!"

I laughed and removed her hand from my face. I looked down on the stage to see Choji lying face down on the ground, the announcer declaring that Dosu was the winner.

"We missed 4 matches in such short time!!!! And how are you not fighting yet?!"

I shout and shook her with an exasperated look.

"Due to the odd numbers of the participants, we will decide who Akali of Konoha fight with a draw."

I patted Akali on the back and wished her good luck as I saw her face on the screen.

"The match up is Akali of Konoha vs Temari of Suna."

Temari smirked and walked down to the stage, standing in front of Akali with a smug gaze.

Third Person's POV

"I do hope you give me a better fight than that one over there."

The white haired girl despises the smug look on her face but she kept silent. By the time they got back from the little meeting in her head, she must've at least consider how strong Lee was. She'd be better off if she was a little more cautious.

"Let me deal with that girl. I'll eat her up in an instant."

"No. Plus this is the biggest step in my main quest. I'll beat her with only my fists."

The white haired girl thought to herself as she jumped up and down, warming herself up and letting loose of her joints.

"Start!"

Temari instantly leapt into action, dashing at the white haired girl with her gigantic iron fan. Indeed it is a heavy hitting weapon, but seeing as it was too big, it's movements are too predictable.

Akali jumped up and landed on the fan's hilt and delivered a low kick, making Temari loose her balance and tumble along with her fan. The white haired girl jumped up and landed quietly on the floor, ready with a stance.

This is the power of taijutsu, the hit of true damage. She won't be able to heal for a while, not that she can. She's a fighter and not a healer, healing from skills is almost near impossible.

Akali took a step forward, her eyes seeing red dots symbolizing the ash blonde's pressure points and fatal areas. She wants to end this as soon as possible so that she may discuss important matters, and it'll also signify that she's better.

So without giving any time to make her rest, Akali rushed in and punched her stomach, sending her rolling to the floor. Temari quickly got back up and prepared the jutsu that made her a winner against Tenten, but Akali already saw this move. She sees it coming from a mile away but-

"I can't move!"

The white haired girl shouted in her head as she did nothing to stop the cyclone hit her like a truck.

"What are you doing Akali? Have you gone soft? You? Loosing to a level 30?"

"Mhm. So that skill comes with a rooted state, that's why I can't move. Got a good chunk of my health bar but that's as far as she can get."

As soon as the cyclone dispersed, the white haired girl spun as many times as she can, landing on the floor with a crater. It doesn't faze Temari however, she only smirked at her.

"Is that what you've got? Not even worth my time or my brother's. Now surrender and get lost."

"KACCHAN!!! STOP GOING EASY ON HER AND FIGHT BACK!!"

A certain blonde headed kid suddenly shouted that made Akali look back. Naruto was there, shouting proudly at the top of his lungs.

"I agree with the fox brat. If you don't finish this, then I will eat her before you do."

"First of all, we aren't eating anyone. Second, I was trying to act low and defeat Temari without using any skills other than that of my fist because I don't want to attract Orochimaru. Since you want it so bad, then I'll make her surrender without lifting a finger!"

As angry as a bull emitting smoke from it's nose, Akali stood quietly and stared at Temari, flaring her chakra along with her very own predatory aura. Someday she knows that Pollux will leave her side so she doesn't need to rely on him. She survived alone, and she will continue to do it.

Almost all of the audience along with Temari shivered in fear.

"I see I am not worth your time. Would you care to defeat me so that we may finish this then?"

Akali stated, spamming her intimidation skill and manifesting her rage towards her and her alone.

Temari struggled to stand up. Being crushed by the pressure of her mere killing intent is already humiliating enough as it is, but when she looked at the crowd almost all of them had cold sweat running down their faces, each one shivering as if placed on top of a snowy mountain.

"Why......w-why does she have an aura similar to Gaara......"

She thought to herself and clenched her teeth, shutting her eyes as she tried to stand up.

"I s-surrender."

"Due to Sabaku no Temari winning her first round, she will continue to proceed to the finals, and because Konoha no Akali won this round, she will also advance."

As soon as Akali heard those words, she concealed her chakra again, as if a vacuum suddenly sucked it all up and leaving no trace whatsoever. The people who held their breaths without even realizing sighed in relief. Alas the heavy presence is gone, but the shock of the audience never left as the mysterious prodigy from Konoha managed to defeat her opponent with her aura.

Soon enough everyone was called, given a number and dismissed so that they may have the one month break for training purposes.

And with that, the chunnin exam preliminaries ended.
